Ah yes, I remeber the Gil snapper, such a pain in the arse. You see, the Tracks of the beast, is a secret area in the eastern Giza plains, and to get there you have to make the path. In every area of the Giza plains, there is a broken, dead, or rotten tree that you have to find, and kick it down. Just go click on the tree to kick it down, there are five trees in total.

After you break down all five trees, go look in the eastern areas for a small path made of logs, that is connected to another area. That is the Tracks of the beast area that you were searching for. Once there, you should see the seeq guy, who will help you fight the Overgrown turtle. He will tell you when then Gil snapper is there, so if he says that he is not there, check back regulary.

Ok first of all I would lvl up because I found the gil snapper rather hard but I was only level 25 when I found him though.

First thing you must do, is wait for the rains. When it is the rains, you will see dead tree's in different parts of Giza. They are next to the river. Approach them and press X the first requires you to do that twice (i think) and the rest, just once. There are about 6 or 7 trees and once you've hit them into the water they will stop and you just cross where they have stopped and if it is raining hard enough, a big red titanoise will be there and that is the Gil Snapper.

Be prepared and happy hunting!

There tracks of the beast is an area in the giza plains that is only available during the rains. The entrance to the area is in the southeast section. To get there you need to cut down all the withered trees to form a path. There are five trees one in each area of the giza plains. Here is a list of where they are.
Crystal Glade.
Starfall Field
Toam Hills.
Nomad Village.
Throne Road.

There are six trees in total you have to cut down to make the bridge and the bridge is located straight out the left side of the save point. The weather has to be right for the Gil Snapper to show tho so enter and leave the area till it is pouring rain. There is also a way to make some easy gil for him. You can steal 1,000 or 2,000 gil over and over again. Just steal from him and flee back to the save point and touch it them return and do it again. It can be a little bit of a pain cause of the randon weather thing.so it might take a while. But it is the easyest way to make cash earlier in the game. Hope this helps
