You can only get Nook grass when you visit Martha's son at her house some time after she dies...if you don't know what I'm talking about, you haven't reached that point in the game yet.
I do know what you are talking about... I have already defeated gemon and obtained the godbirds stone. You think I can now get it?
Yeah, I think you should be able to get it now. I was wrong though, Marek is not in her house, but in the cave behind her house.
You will find it in Dragovian Sanctuary (bag).
It can be given to you at either Orkutsk or Marta's Cottage after certain events.
Once you get it at one location you will not get it at the other.
