Question for Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King

Ok, I'm up to the bit right after where you get the ancient ship back into the resurrected ocean. I'm at the west-side of the map and i've been to Neos, Argonia and Baccarat but I can't find any trails leading to dhoulmagus, can someone please help me!
Oh yeah, and i'm also a level C monster arena champion, can anyone give any suggestions to decent monsters for the next couple of levels these are the ones I have in my team and in my reserves;

Team - Goldman (Goldbricker), Talos(crazed colossus) and DumbKing(king of dumbira)

Reserves - Hackzilla(Axoraptor), healer(family doctor), Brickman(bricklayer), Big Al(Al gee), Scorpius(sand slayer) and Hoodwink(the blue hood guy, I forgot his alias)

Well dhoulmagus is on the island in the most north western part of the world ( you can see it on the map) when you get into the centre you will need to go get the sun mirror. For the monster arena swap goldman for hackzilla (im only up to b grade but I only used hackzilla, dumbking, and bladewolf and I think, this is before I found talos who is much better!

To find Dhoulmagus, just head a little north of the seaview church, it's a island with a purple cloud over it. You will have to go to Ascantha to ask for a mirror to light up the building where Dhoulmagus is hiding. Talk to the king in Ascantha, and the mirror will turn out to be stone, climb down the fountain in the front of the castle and then kill the moles and go to the end where you will fight a boss. Once you get the mirror go to the mystical spring, if you havent been there yet it's at the end of a hidden path north west of argonia. The old man there will tell you to use the flash attack of the dragons to re-light the mirror. Put it in one of your characters inventorys, and use it at the beginning of a battle with a sea dragon, they are found under the bridge that connects 2 continents south of the seaview church. Once the mirror has it's magic back to to the building on the island again, and use the mirror with the slot in the monument out front, then you can get in.

Your monster team looks good, thats pretty much what i used, except i had the combination of Hackzilla, Talos and Goldman. You might just need to train some more.
