Once you finish Dragon History, you could use fusion with different characters such as gotenks, vegito and gogeta. You can only do fusion with characters that are compatible, like the standard Goku and Vegeta, and Goten and Trunks(kid). There are other fusion characters, but it's more like a transformation, such as Kibito-Kai and Majuub.
