Question for Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3

When I go into training I have gotten to the seventh training exercise. I'm able to do the first thing which is teleporting behind veget in the training but when he goes onto the next thing which is pursuing I can't get past it. He doesn't attack me or anything so I can't do the teleport and pursue deal?

Is this some type of glitch that the producers might have missed? If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Just as an update, I figured it out. It took me a few seconds but it was so obvious it bit me right on the hand. All you have to do is perform a serious of moves, like kicking, that sends him flying into the air and as soon as the last kick is performed that sends him flying then you hit the circle which teleports yourself behind him.

Hope this might clear up something for everyone. I'm still trying to get characters and I can't wait! I also need more capsules but it seems like you need to beat the game blindfolded cause I only got up to Super Sayan 3 for Goku but I just started so I'll give it a while longer.
