If I remember correctly there are 25 floors, the 25th including the boss fight and I don't recall finding a backdoor key, but it's been a while since i've played so keep your eyes open and maybe you'll find it.

due to a programming issue the Flapping duster is not included in the american versions of the game

I heard you can use a glitch to get it, although I cannot confirm that it works.

Also that is why they added demon shaft to the game.

The strongest sword in the game is the chronicle sword 2 with about 340 or 360 attack.
