When you finish the old man that has a musical instrument he gives you a flute, go to the snake part of the deongeon and play it **note** equip the rare sword that you got it's the only way to defeat the snake (cant remember what the sword was)

The sword was the Serpent Sword and you have to equip it before you fight.
