Go straight and then you'll hit the radio tower after a few minutes of walking.

DIGGUUMS

Alright when you pass the first cobra you will see the begining of the quick sand maze. Right after the first pit it will have a fork, go left and stop at next pit. Turn and look across pit you'll see a stump [ you should have two others by this point].

Ok turn back there should be a wall stand next to it and move forward and you should end up on a wall on the other side walk to the end of the wall and stop.

There is a cobra on the other side of the bush in front of you. You can SHOOT IT without seeing it[also just to the right of the bush is another stump shot it making your total 4] now walk off the wall.

The next pit isn't far off so carefull. Turn right across pit you'll see an opening between the wall go for it just look for the shortest distance across the pit,once across the path is solid. Follow it to the wall that slants down towards you.

Walk across the top of the wall and off the other end[Just hop off the wall there isn't anything behind the bush at the end] when you get to this point there is an opening to your left.Walk across the pit [don't get hung up on the corner] Follow the path to the next pit.

Stop and look across the pit you'll see another cobra shoot it then cross to the middle. Find the shortest way across and you made . now up the hill there is pistol ammo, food and two cheehtas the last stump is at the top to your left in the corner.

Head left towards the ruins and there's the check point.
