Question for America's Army: Rise of a Soldier

On the advanced sniper qualifaction part for America's Army: Rise of a Soldier, do you really wait a whole 48-hours? And the Sarg said that him and this other Sarg will "drive" up to expose the target, when exactly does this happen and what does the target look like?

Thanks.

I'm not sure how long you're supposed to wait, but I waited about a half an hour before I got bored and shot the patrols.
