When tracking Anna how do you follow her into the backstreets?

I get stuck on the balcony.

You follow her along the roof for a little while, then there is a set of stairs that you have to go down. Once you go down them, you just follow the path. Then once you fight the female guard on the second roof, you have to go down a ladder, then down some boxes & follow her through some doors.
