Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny Cheats and Tips

When you complete the game the following features will become available options. The 'Scenario Route', 'Man in Black Suit' mini-game, 'Team Onimusha' mode and Teaser FMV.

Unlock Easy Mode:

Start a game and die 3 times. A message will then appear on screen to indicate that a new 'Easy' difficulty setting is an available option (you will not be able to get 'Onimusha' rank playing in 'Easy' mode).

Unlock Hard Mode:

This mode will become an available option when the game has been completed on the 'Normal' difficulty setting.

Unlock Kick Ass Mode:

This mode will become an available option when the game has been completed on the 'Hard' difficulty setting.

Unlock Strongest Equipment Mode:

Complete the game on the 'Hard' difficulty setting and then begin a new game and you will start with ALL Level 3 Armors, Blazing Fire Sword, 20,000 in Money, 30 Intense Medicines, 10 Wood, Infinite Ammunition, and Skill always full.

Unlock Critical Mode:

This mode will become an available option when 'Team Onimusha' mode has been completed.

Unlock Mind Twister Mode:

This mode becomes an available option when the game has been completed with ALL 18 Artworks.

Unlock Jubei's Leather and Sunglasses Costume:

Collect the Fashionable Goods item and then complete the game with an 'S' rank. Then go to the 'Special Features' menu and enable the 'Extra Jubei' option to dress Jubie in his alternate costume (press L2 to toggle).

Unlock Oyu's 1970's Costume:

Play the game multiple times to get a 100% scenario completion making good alliances with ALL the sub-characters. Then when ALL the scenarios have been unlocked in the 'Scenario Route' viewer go to the 'Special Features' menu and enable the 'Extra Oyu' option to dress Oyu in her alternate costume.

Unlock Jubei Yagyu's Alternate Costume:

To get this costume you have to collect the 'Fashionable Goods' item and completed the game with an 'S' rank. When you have done that select 'Special Features' and enable the 'Extra Jubei' option and he will then be dressed in leather and sunglases which can be toggled by pressing L2. If you have the Japanese version of the game you have to complete the game with the Onimusha rank.

Unlock Oyu's Alternate Costume:

To get her 1970's style costume you have to get a 100% scenario completion which is achieved by playing the game multiple times and make good alliances with all the sub-characters. When ALL the scenarios are unlocked in the 'Scenario Route' viewer go to the 'Special Features' menu and select the 'Extra Oyu' option.

Have you ever wondered whats behind that door locked by the the 3 fossilized bones? ... Well behind that door is a Black Neclace which gives you the power to hit criticals all the time.

Successfully complete the game with an 'S' ranking and pick up the Fashionable Goods in the 21st floor of the purple phantom realm to unlock Jubei's alternate costume.

Every now and then look at the save menu because you might be able to get your weapon stronger.

Obtain the Rekka-Ken Sword:

To obtain the ultimate weapon (the rekka-ken),you'll need to get near to the area where Nobunaga is after you get the purple wedge. Enter the Phantom Realm after using the purple wedge on the area and go all the way down to the bottom floor.There are about 20 floors to get through but it is easy.After you beat the last batch of monsters on the ground floor.The Rekka-Ken would automatically appear and you will obtain the sword.

Also try:

after getting the sword push x on the area where the sword was. you'll have the option to plunge the sword back in. Do so then get sucked into the realm and there would be a box. Open it and you would get Jubei's second costume and you'll still have the sword.

How to get ryu kishin(one of the ultimate swards)

OK, this is what u do. first you have to go near the place where nobunaga is and you have to have the purple wedge next you go to this door in the castle place and use the wedge on the green looking thing.

It will say you are going to be sucked in will you proceed then go on yes and then you have to fight these really hard monsters, but then you beat them you find this sword which has 3 element orbs in it.

It will be ryu kishin BUT dont stop there when you take it out of its position you can put it back in do so and you will find a box open it and it will give you this mystery item, which is the man in blac version of the game(you get it when you clok the game) the ryu kishin has the most powerful fire strikes
