Electrocute the guys drinking sake

This is more of an easter egg. When you are at the big festival in Kamiki village, there will be three men sitting around a sake barrel. Draw a ;ine from the sake to them and they will get electrocuted!

Weapon Attributes

Okay, this is a short little hint to let you know about the attributes the three different types of weapon posses.
Firstly, you need to know that in the game there a three types of weapons: reflectors, rosaries and glaives. You can equip two onto Amaterasu, a main weapon which will be the one you use primarily and most often, and a sub that you can use to perform a couple of combos. You can, if you wish, equip two of the same type of weapon. For example, you can equip two reflectors, or two rosaries. However, it should be noted that this is much more effective when you go to the Dojo Master (who makes his way around Nippon and appears in three different places overall) and buy/learn the techniques that give you bonuses to double equip the same type of weapon.
Secondly, a really minor note here, weapons that have been powered up with Gold Dust are extremely better than those that aren't. While the difference may not be all that noticable to you, believe me the difference is kinda big. Now then, on to the attributes of the different types of weapon. Reflectors:- Fast and furious describe these pretty well. They aren't the strongest of the three, but they aren't the weakest either. They provide a medium-length range, and the speed of these weapons allows several attacks to follow in succession. When equipped as a sub, these weapons turn into a shield, and will block attacks for you if you time their useage right.
Rosaries:- These weapons, technically, have the longest reach of them all, but they are pretty weak. Sadly, I have only ever found a rosary useful when it is equipped as a sub weapon, because this is when you may shoot your rosary beads at an enemy. It should be noted that the continual shooting of rosary beads will leave you having to wait for them to return before shooting them again.
Glaive:- Glaives, to be honest, are my favourite weapon of choice. They are the most powerful of all the weapons, and the slowest too. However, these weapons may be charged up by holding and pressing the attack button, depending on whether they are your sub or main. As a sub, glaives can provide interesting combos with a main weapon, but they work better as glaive glaive. Why? Because you can charge the two weapons up at the same time if you really want to be done with a battle quickly. This is especially cool when trying to cut down your time fighting a boss like Orochi so you get a better bonus score at the end. Keep in mind, however, that while your glaive(s) are charging, you are vulnerable to attack.

The 'How To's of Wawku Shrine

Right, I've noticed a lot of people seem to struggle with Wawku Shrine at some stage or another. I did too, so I'm not picking on anyone here, but posting from experience.

1) How to beat the two Demon Owl Nechuku (round 1)
In this first fight, you only appear to be pitted against one mechanical owl, and it would seem your old self Shiranui has teamed up to fight alongside you. Now in truth you can let Shiranui do all the work, as she will quite happily give the Demon a beating while you run around and do whatever you see fit. It is VERY good to have Thunder Edge equipped for this fight, just because of it's power. It will be even more useful later on though. If you don't want to use Thunder Edge, then Solar Flare will suffice.

2) How to get past the Golden Cannon
Now this was a biggie - myself included. I ran around for at least two night figuring out how to best the cannon and dispell the barrier to carry on with game. And then it hit me. The way to do this is easy; treat the cannon like you might a possessed tree (you know, the ones you saw at Tsuta Ruins and all that). Use the Veil of Mist technique to slow time down and the cannon ball will become visible. Quickly slash the projectile, and it will then bounce back into the cannon. Do this once or twice and hey presto, the cannon will explode. Easy solution to what appeared to be a complex problem. With the cannon gone the barrier behind is dispelled too, leaving you to go on.

3) How to get past the burning wheels after the Golden Cannon
Well just in case you didn't catch it, the icicles on the platform where the Golden Cannon was seem to circle some mound of ice. Melt it, and you should find a cold, ball made of ice, exactly the same to the ones you see earlier in Tsuta Ruins and Moon Cave. However, use Divine Wind to move it along inside the hall, since it hurts to touch. Once it's inside, use your new icy tehnique to freeze the wheels and jump across them. (Be careful, the ice melts after a while. And if you can't see the ball of ice, then use the wheels. Once they are frozen, they too can be used as a source of ice)

4) How to beat Lechuku and Nechuku
Well actually this is kinda self explanitory, but can still prove tricky. This time, rather than Shiranui aiding you, Oki will fight at your side. The trick to this is to have Thunder Edge equipped, firstly. When Lechuku (the golden birdy) takes his staff, or sword - whichever you takes your fancy - into the air, it saves you the trouble of looking about for a lightning bolt. Thunder Edge is your new, time saving source of lightning. This stuns the Demon, which triggers Oki to run to you and sit himself neatly in a new ice bow. Simply hold down the triangle button for a few seconds, or a minute for safety, and then run up after Oki and belt the Demon one with your Glaive. Attack like mad. IF you have two Glaives equipped and are able to use them in succession, or together at the same time, do so. It makes killing the demon so much faster.
Also it is good to note every action the birds do can have a reaction. If one of them shoots a plant at you, use your Bloom technique to open it. If Nechuku throws projectiles at you much like the trees did, then slash them and send them back. This is how you stun the silver owl, and then it is the same with firing Oki at it.
Not so much as strategy more than react to what the birds do. It's nice and simple if you remember what to do at which points in time.

Well, hope I helped!

There are three types of weapons in Okami:
1)The Reflector:These can do decent damage at a medium range and can also be used as a shield when equipped as a sub weapon. The 5 Reflectors are:
A)Divine retribution:You start with this weapon
B)Snarling Beast:You get it after defeating the boss at Tsuta ruins.Grants Ink Bullet power.
C)Infinity Judge:Buy from Kusa Village merchant.
D)Trinity Mirror:Sei an city trader after beating ninetails
E)Solar Flare:The strongest reflector, got after acquiring all 13 brush techniques. Can be used as a source of Fire(requires Inferno)

2)The Rosary:Supreme range and extremely fast but not that much damaging.Godhood can be gained easily. Can shooot while enabled as sub weapon.

A)Devout Beads:Treasure chest in Agata Forest
B)Life Beads:Beat Crimson Helm in Gale Shrine
C)Exorcism Beads:Beat Blight
D)Resurrection Beads:Sorry,i forgot where to get it from...
E)Tundra Beads:Strongest rosary, bought from Marco in The ark of Yamato, can be used as source of ice.(requires blizzard)

3)The Glaive:Swords that can do great damage.Hold the attack button to charge the attack. Can attack when equipped as Sub weapon.(these are my favourite type of weapons XD)
A)Tsumugari:Beat Orochi for the first time.
B)Seven Strike:Purchase at Sei-An City Commoner Qtrs. Merchant(ink bullet)
C)Blade of Kusanagi:Beat Ninetails.
D)Eighth Wonder:Purchase at Ponc'tan Merchant(ink Bullet)
E)Thunder Edge: Beat True Orochi.Strongest Glaive,my favourite weapon, can be used as a source of thunder or lightning.(Requires Thunderbolt)

Thats all the weapons in this awesome game.

Note:to uswe ink bullet, hold r1 and draw some dots around the enemy.the ink will be then shot at the opponent, damaging them slightly.

Also, when about to fight Yami, the lord of darkness, buy a lot of exorcism slip L
Or exorcism slip M's...they can be pretty useful aginst him.Use the Strongest weapons of the three types in unision.what I mean is keep on changing them while fighting Yami.Yami has a lot of forms and each form has it's weakness.Try to find the weakness by using the different types of elements.

Hope I Helped!

Easy cash

There are three good ways to get some quick cash, but the one far into the game is by far the best. The first way : Selling treasures and fishing.

Treasures and fish can be sold, but only a certain amount of treasure can be obtained. When you meet Kokari in agata forest, after a certain mission you complete for him you will be able to fish there. When fishing, keep in mind it's best to go for the small fish. They may get you less cash, but they're much much quicker to catch than the big ones.

The second method is simply by quickly and taking no damage, defeating enemies around the Ryoshima Coast or North Ryoshima Coast area. It is not uncommon to get 6,000 yen from a good fight in those areas.

However, by a huge amount, the best place to get cash is in the Shinshu Fields very far into the game.

I will not ruin the story, but at this point, you can occasionally get 30,000 yen from one fight!

Beating the first boss waka

After you make the gaurdian sapling bloom in Agata forest you will be confonted by a Tao master Waka.Be sure to have the Devout beads as your main wep and the Divine Retrubution and your sub-wep so you can shield using the triangle button now Waka is good no joke but you can take him out with the Devout beads and a few cherry bombs with a power slash when he turns gray.Remember you will have to face Waka later on in the game and he will be harder.Good luck!
