Always win the faceoff

Immediately before the referee drops the puck press start to pause the game then when game play is resumed you should have the puck.

When you go to season mode go NEW GAME then pick the team you want to be and play the first game of the season then exit the season mode and then go to memory card and save the game for the file name use HOCKEY IS COOL NHL in all capitals then turn off your PS2 then turn it back on and go to memory card and load your game then go to the season mode and choose cotinue and all the season games will say WIN beside them the game and the last game will say play beside it once you play that game and win you will get a secret player.
