Okay you know how in this game when you first start you only have 10,000 cash and the bets car you can buy is the Honda Civic. Well here is a way to boost that Honda Civic up to speed with awesome new vinyls and performance upgrades! Just start the game then race through that 'dream race' that the girl from the beginning calls it. Then go to the main page and type the code :
Up, Up, Up, Right, Down, Down, Up, Right.

This will unlock the "Lost Prophet's" car for 'Quick Race' only! After you unlock this car it will appear as a "Nissan Skyline" in Quick race but it will NOT be in "Underground" mode. Then click on Quick race and choose Drift. Set the difficulty to Hard and set the # of laps to 10. Then click Play and swerve in and out of the edges while following the map.You can set the map to any map but I myself prefer the second map because you can get more Style Points! Then at the end of 10 laps you should have at least 100,000 style points which will immediately unlock a few new Vinyls and Upgrades. Do the repetitively to earn ALL the upgrades for Visual! This will not unlock any Performance upgrades. But it will make getting through Underground mode a lot easier!

If you just start this game and keep racing don't rely on the same car.At one point you will have to switch.

To avoid hitting walls when drifting when you come close use nitrous{if you have it}

If you said Holy Crap YEAH! To any of these qeustions then this is for you.

Well, for the first one you need to use either the Mazda Miata or the Lancer to do this: Upgrade your engine to be level 2 (Pro Perfomance) and level 2 braking system. Okay here's how you do it: you make sure you do not crash at the corners. (Oh so that why he's saying to have level 2 braking system, is probaably what your saying.) Then you'll be at least 5 or 6 seconds ahead of you oponent.

Well, I bet you have wanted to do this when you couldn't win, but just take a pillow and pretend that's them then you got over your anger.

Well, pimp your car up as much as you can. Get it the way you like it and by the way win some races so you can unlock some more visual upgrades. I did this to my car and it has a three star reputation! See if you can beat that. If you already did then you must be a good pimp man. I mean help me pimp my ride! To get a full top speed car you need to have all upgrades, all nitro packs, then you can try to get the rest of what's left.

Well, you need to have a full top speed bar, a very good handling bar, and good acceleration on it, too. Then, make sure you do not crash on the corners. And use your nitro when you crash (If you do).

Easy visual upgrades
Yes your profile and car in single race drift mode pick a long track and 10 laps. Get as many points as possible (ive gotten over 300,000) after the race you'll get vinyl, rims etc( I’ve gotten as many as 7 upgrades!)


Load of Style
The real way to get a load of style points is to use your favorite car and go to drift track two or four whichever you prefer to use. It is better to use two because you get a ton of style points, I have gotten 83,675 style points in just the first time (It is also a very good way to unlock other things too!!!!). 

Turbo Start
At the beginning of the race at the starting line up rev the engine to the max and tap the nitro button ( if you have nitro that is ) just as you start the race and you will receive a turbo boost and 150 points
Build The Ultimate Speed Machine
Sick of posers passing' you on the drag and swerving' past you on the streets? Here's your answer.

When you have finally unlocked the Nissan Skyline, here's what you do: Select the Skyline and go into performance modes. Select the Extreme modifications for all areas. (NOTE: there is no difference in what brands you buy( usually)). After you've done that, the Skyline should have full top speed. If not, go into the modes again and fix it.

You might have missed something'. After that, you can do whatever you want to make it look cool. This car should be a beast on the streets. And in the drag races, if you can nail the shifts and use the nitrous wisely, no one will be able to touch you!


How to unlock eddis skyline
You will notice when you start need for speed there will be a goldish colored Nissan skyline saying eastside boys on it but you cannot seem to select it. To unlock this car you need huge amounts of style points achieved by doing races and other events.

It is advised to complete all the races in underground including the 112th race. Once you have done that you should have loads of sty;e points. If you still don't get it go on quick race and select a finely tuned car and win as much points as you can on drift mode. You will achieve lots of style points that way.

When you are drifting, but you have to be going pretty fast, use the E-BRAKE which is R-1. It helps to keep moving, keep turning left anf right. A way to make your drift longer is, when your car is staring to straitn out, going forward, turn the opposite direction from your last turn.

I once got 48,658 points in one drift.

P.S using the brakes also helps from crashing or hitting the wall.

When you get hit by a car and get thrown in the air the best way to recover is to prepare your front tires by pointing them in the direction that is needed to rcover.

When you hit a car and get turned around but you are still moving forward then the best way to recover and not lose a lot of time.

Burning out is by hitting reverse and turning your wheels so that you correct the way that your car is going then hit the throttle and a little bit of NOS to get going.

Or you can just hit the E-brake to spin the car around

The best starting car is the Neon it cost a lot but it is worth it.

When you are in the lead there isn't really any point of using your NOS. You should wait until you get over taking or have crashed so that you can regain your posistion and get back to normal speed.

After you have unlocked level 1 nitros to get an advantage over the competition tap the R1 button before the start then hold square and X to heat your tires and release them at go. You will get a nos purge bonus and turbostart cool eh!!

In drag use nitruos while shifting, let go a second when you shift then hit nitros right after you shift in last gear[5or6] and you will get a good time[I got a 18.59 before].
It really works try it!!!!

Another way to get quicker style points is to put visual upgrades to get reputation stars, if you get 2 then your style points multiplied by 2, 3 rep stars will multiply style points by 3 and so on...

Whenever you do Drift tracks you will notice that you will usually get loads of style points and money.

Every time you get your meter full it means you will unlock a new vinyl or when you get loads of style points you will unlock a car.

When you do lots of Drifts,make sure you dont crash too much or you will lose style points and money, to do this you will need a good car I have gotten over 100,000 style points with a car called Nissan skyline you will have to unlock this car.

Okay hello there. The hint that I am about to tell you about is turning.

ON THE FIRST 6 lap race called "WHO'S GOT THE ENDURANCE"
on really sharp and hard to corner turn all you have to do press square and R1 at the same time .

Then just turn and that will keep your engine reved up for the accelaration out of the turn.

To make Brian's Skyline get the Skyline and color it silver and put the Flash bodykit.

Then put the blue puls neon's and the supernova wing on the car finally put the modem 2.

It will look some what similar

If your in a drag race and your losing by only a little, or even a couple of seconds, what you would probably do is to press the NOS button to get a bit more speed up. But if your a little behind then the computer will probably find a bit of speed from somewhere and take the win.

To easily win a drag race and get your cars ultimate top speed, you need to set off from the line and get up to about fourth gear without using your Nos. Then if your quite far behind still just TAP the Nos button once to give you a burst and get you into fifth gear. Then when in Fifth you DON'T touch your Nos and you get it into sixth gear. Get up to about 185-200mph and then you just TAP your Nos repeatedly. DON'T hold it on because after a second or two your Nos will begin to run out without gaining you any speed. Keep Tapping the Nos button and you will find you will get from 185-200mph to 235-240mph very very quickly. Easy or what!!!

Oh yeah!, Just be careful when doing this as your car will get to its top speed way before the finish line and your car will start to over-heat. Just make sure you keep an eye on your engine temperature. If it does start going higher and higher just let of the accelerator and roll over the finish line. You should be at least three seconds in front and so you shouldn't lose unless you hit something like, um..... a train!

P.S What car do you all think is the fastest in the game. I don't think its the skyline. I think its the S2000!

I have got the perfect car strategy.

All you need is the Hyundai Coupe (unlocked mission 18 or 19 in underground mode), the Honda S2000 (I can't remember what mission it is you unlock it at), the R34 Skyline (Mission 80), level 3 engine/exhaust, level 3 drivetrain, level 3 tyres, and every other performance upgrade at level 2.

Here's what you do: put all of the performance upgrades on your starter car. Then, trade it for the Coupe. The top speed bar of the Coupe should be almost full.

Then, when you get the S2000, trade the Coupe for the S2000. Then when you get the Skyline, trade the S2000 for the Skyline.

Then when you get all the level 3 performance upgrades, put them on the Skyline, and it will have a full top speed bar.
