Heat levels guide

Heat level 1

Police cars used: Standard Police Cruiser

Max number chasing you: 5

Combo bounty: 250 then 500 then 750

This is the easiest pursuit to get around; you can usually just floor it and get away

Heat level 2

Police cars used: Undercover Police Cruiser

Max number chasing you: 1

Combo bounty: 500 then 1000 then 1500

This level is a bit tougher then level 1. Standard roadblocks and rolling roadblocks will start to be used

Heat level 3

Police cars used: Potanic GTO Police Cruiser

Max number chasing you: 15

Combo bounty: 2500 then 5000 then 7500

The police are now in GTO interceptors, which are faster and tougher to disable than level 1 & 2. This level also introduces the Rhino SUV which ram you head on.

Heat level 4

Police cars used: Potanic GTO Undercover Cruiser

Max number chasing you: 20

Combo bounty: 5000 then 10,000 then 15,000

Now it get�s tough. This level introduces the Police Helicopter which will track your movement in pursuits. If you�re in it's FOV you won�t be able to escape and the ground police will find you. The roadblocks have a nasty new device: The spike strip. Hitting a Spike Strip will disable your car for an instant busted. Constantly watch the GPS and in front of you to make sure you don�t get hit by the spikes. The Rhino SUV is also heavier

Heat level 5

Police cars used: Corvette C6�s

Max number chasing you: 25

Combo bounty: 20,000 then 40,000 then 60,000

The cops are in Corvette C6�s all equipped with Nitrous Oxide and they�ll easily match your cars speed. It takes some skilled driving to outrun them. You have to cope with them, Roadblocks with Spike Strips, Rhinos and Rolling Roadblocks. The Rockport PD Helicopter will try to dive on your car. Keep a look out Sergeant Cross with his Zebra style paint. Immobilise him for a 100,000 boost to your bounty. He rarely goes in front of you so it might be hard immobilising him.

Heat level 6 (Final pursuit)

Police cars used: Undercover Corvette C6�s and Rhino SUV�s

Max number chasing you: 30

Combo bounty: not sure

Cross wants you taken down no matter what and he called in every cop car in Rockport to bust you. Nowhere is safe and it will take all the dirty tricks in the book to get away.

Heat level 7(Black edition challenge)

Police cars used: Supercharged SUV�s

Max number chasing you: A lot

Combo bounty: not sure

All the cars are Supercharged SUV�s, faster and heavier versions than the Rhino and they�re all chasing you. If you�re surrounded there is no chance of getting away as the mass of the super Rhinos are too much for your car to move, if you�re trapped. To win this challenge you must rack up a 500K bounty and get away NOT BUSTED.
