My bro needs help

Plz help this may sound dum but my bro is stuck on the tempel with lightning shooting out he onens the door then the lightning under him on floor he can't get past. O and if you have played FF9 I need help I am stuck on the 3rd disk in the mountain where they take little fairy girl and you fight red dragons I beat the one by the elixer but no pairs like in the well I know how to hit hard but I have knight mage monkey and assasin with claws I use thundra and almost got all trance I think I need to gain a little. thanks for help
