After playing a few seasons with a club, if you have enough money then you should start signing some of these players (there overall will be at least 85+ after 2 or 3 seasons):
RWM: Lionel Messi (good at the start but better later)
CM: John Bostock (also plays well as a left midfeilder/winger)
CAM: Pjanic
CF: Giovani dos Santos
ST: Carlos Vela, Ballotelli Burwuah (great player after approx. 3 seasons)
For enough money to buy these players try these clubs:
Real Madrid
Barcelona
Chelsea
Inter Milan (Internazionale)
AC Milan
If you started with a club with low prestige and still don't have enough manager prestige to sign with these clubs try signing with a club from the Hyundai A-League. The shortest league and easy points.
For easy manager prestige in manager mode, play a few seasons in the Hyundai A-League. There are no cup matches except for the finals series at the end of the season (top 4 finishers). The maximum games you can play in the A-League is 29: 4 pre-season friendlies

Usually the board expectations are:
-Qualify for the Playoffs
-Upgrade _________ Manager
-Renew _________ contract to 3 or more years/renew 2 player(s) contracts to 3 or more years
Say you want to sell a player but you want more money. Make your club the beast there is and then don't renew his contract after he is about to expire and then you cn buy him from free agents. If he doesnt want to come the first time and he goes to another team just try again from TRANSFER NEGOTIATIONS. Then when he comes h should be worth more and then you can sell him.
