Unlock Arcia:

Successfully complete the game on the 'Normal' difficulty setting.

Unlock Hard Difficulty Setting:

Successfully complete the game on the 'Normal' difficulty setting.

Unlock Super Difficulty Setting:

Successfully complete the game on the 'Hard' difficulty setting.

Unlock Stage Select:

Defeat the stage 9 Boss to get the Map Selector which you can use to replay any previously completed stage.

Avoid Losing Life:

During gameplay pause the game just before you lose the last part of your health. Then use a healing item and you will not lose that life.
