when fighting bosses, put in slow motion by pressing the down arrow (not with the analog) jump over the guy and do that flip thingy that turns you 180 degrees around and try landing behind the boss. as soon as you hit the ground, input the command to jump on the boss to start feeding off him. this only works on the bosses that are human or have those flying things in them.
