When playing a battle with multiple cpu players, try to stay away from your cpu opponents until you have a good stash of resources and a large army.

The cpu players can be relentless in their attack, especially on harder difficulty levels.

Easy victory

You need lots of supplies to do this in campaings some levels can be hard so here is a good way to protect heros make loads of camps round the map and it will be harder for the enemy to attack.

Save Resources

When you ally with other players, don't build a market.

More bases advantage:

To have a better chance of winning, you might want to build more than one base. Enlarge the base you start out with, making it completely fortified with at least two castles.

Then, send a scout cavalry, or some other fast moving unit, to the opposite side of the map from your base.

After you have checked the area and confirmed that it is safe, send a villager to build a castle at that location and fortify that base. This is very helpful if your enemy knows where one of your bases are located, especially during online play.

Explore enemy territory without being attacked
Advance to the Feudal age, build a Market, then create a Trade Cart.

Use the Trade Cart to safely explore your opponent's territory. If your opponent is neutral, they will not harm the Trade Cart.

Another trick is to create several Trade Carts and place them evenly across your opponent's area to see everything they are doing, without having to spend several thousand gold to research Spies/Treason.

Build faster
Continuously select the icon next to the percentage.

Barbarians
Play in deathmatch mode and choose the Vikings. Instead of having Berserkers, they will have Barbarians.

Save resources:
When you are allies with others, do not build a market to avoid giving them resources.

Extra base to attack

Get an army together mostly archers and around 5 villages,, send your army to attack and tell your villages To build a castle close to the base then send 23 archers to go inside the castle.

Tell your villages to build a stone wall around you castle leaving a one space Gap between the castle and wall now construct those long range siege weapons.

Build some towers if you want and get your villages to make a gate (lock in encase it open when a villager is to close) better if the wall, towers and castle are up graded first

Expensive I now but it will give you a strong hold in the enemy base

You can use this technique to take over a large amount of resources
To stop you enemies and to give you all the resources you need....

When playing with chinese, buld an army of 20 Cho ku no (special from the castle) and 20 paladins.

Use blacksmith to upgrade armor, strenght and shooting dictance to cho ku no´s and bombard cannons.
<BR>
<BR>
Then take about 5 monks and place them behind the army to heal. then start shooting with cannons and move slowly forward.
<BR>
<BR>
Stop every once in a while so the monks can fully heal the army.
<BR>
<BR>
The elite cho ku no will take care of almost every one, but if someone gets close, the paladins will kill him.
<BR>
<BR>
U can also take one or two villagers to repair the damaged cannons

Fast build:

When building press on the building that is being built and press the construction button repeatedly to speed up building process
