This is the first guide I've ever submitted to GameFAQ's, so I wanted to write one for a game that is near and dear to me, and I chose Lunar 2. This guide will assist you in defeating every boss in this game, as well as the Epilogue bosses. It'll explain each and every attack that a boss will use against you, and everything that you need to do to win. I'll also give some preparations before every fight, ensuring that you'll come out on top. So with that said, let's get this guide started, shall we? *There will be some very slight spoilers in the guide, and will be shown as followed. *SPOILER ALERT* Said Spoiler *END SPOILER* II)Version History August 27, 2009- 1st Version of the guide, every boss up to the White Fiend is included. August 27, 2009- Version 1.1 of the guide, every boss is included. August 31, 2009- Version 1.2, Fixed any and all spelling/grammatical errors and added a series of "-", to seperate each boss. (Thanks to Shotgunnova for letting me know about this). Included some tips from GameFAQs users. September 3, 2009- Added another tip from Yunie1000. ------------------- III) Bosses Boss #1 Guardian Stats Attack- 52 Attacks- 1 Defense- 45 Agility- 40 Speed- 19 Wisdom- 20 Magic Endurance- 20 Range- 30 Luck- 1 Hit Points- 550 Experience Points- 121 Silver- 100 Recommended Levels- Hiro 12, Gwyn 12 Strategy With only 2 controllable characters to use in this fight, your options are rather limited. Before fighting the Guardian, move Hiro to the far left and Gywn to the far right. This will ensure that only Hiro gets hit. Also, make sure Gywn has his Shattered Sword and Fractured Armor spells; these will aid you greatly in this fight. Finally, make sure to heal at the Althena's Statue before going into the Guardian's room. Have Hiro use his Poe Sword attack every round. Have Gwyn heal as necessary, and cast Shattered Sword and Fractured Armor on the Guardian when it powers up. The Guardian, being the first boss of the game, only has a few attacks to use on you. He has 3 in total, with only 2 dealing damage. The Guardian's 1st attack is an increase of attack and defense for itself. You'll see this coming when the Guardian is flashing, and stretching out its chain between its hands. You'll want Gwyn to cast Shattered Sword first, then Fractured Armor, to remove its boosts. The Guardian's 2nd attack will hit 1 character with its mace for decent damage. Its tell will be when the Guardian is standing in place, grasping its chain in its fists and breathing slowly. You may need to use an Herb or a Heal Litany on the targeted character. The Guardian's 3rd and final attack is its most powerful. When you see the Guardian twirling its ball and chain over its head, it will charge at 1 character, smashing them, with the shock waves hitting anyone within range. This is why you need to keep Hiro out front, with Gwyn as far away as possible, so he doesn't get hit. Overall, this guy isn't too difficult, seeing as it's the first boss of the game. However, the rest of the bosses get harder, so this will be a taste of what's to come. ------------------- Boss #2 Plantella Stats Attack- 15 Attacks- 1 Defense- 75 Agility- 30 Speed- 52 Wisdom- 20 Magic Endurance- 20 Range- 35 Luck- 0 Hit Points- 1800 Experience Points- 420 Silver- 0 Recommended Levels- Hiro 17, Ronfar 17, Jean 16 Strategy Things get a little more interesting with this 2nd boss, as we have a 3rd controllable character in Jean. She is quite fast, and her high agility will be very beneficial for us. Before fighting Plantella, take a second to heal your party and move them around. Place Hiro out in the front, with Ronfar, Jean, and Lucia spread out evenly apart in the back. We'll want Hiro to take the brunt of Plantella's attacks. To start, have Hiro use Poe Sword every round. Have Ronfar cast Saint Litany first on Hiro, then himself, Jean, and Lucia. Saint Litany will recover a characters' HP by around 10% after every round, making it very useful to cast at the start of any boss battle. You can also have Ronfar use Anger Dice, to strike at Plantella's weakness to fire. Only use this if no one is in need of healing. Have Jean use her least MP costing dance, Sleep Step. She can also help out Ronfar with healing by handing out Herbs to any injured characters. Lucia won't be of much help in this fight, though if she is hit, she will counter with Napalm Shot, dealing around 80 HP. Plantella has 3 attacks to use on your party, as well as 3 forms. Its first 2 forms each have 300 HP and the 3rd form has 1200 HP. Plantella's first attack will hit a character with a falling tentacle of sorts, dealing around 45 HP and potentially poisoning its character. This is the only attack that is used in this form. You can have Jean use an Herb on the targeted character, and a Purity Herb to remove the poison. Plantella's 2nd attack will be seen in its 2nd form, in which it will hit the entier party with seeds. You'll see this coming when Plantella's mouth is opening and closing. This attack deals around 50-55 HP to everyone, so have Ronfar use Calm Litany to heal everyone. Plantella's 3rd attack is the most painful, and only seen in the final form. If you see Plantella raising her left fist and her eyes flashing, 1 character is about to be hit with a razor sharp root, dealing close to 80 HP. An Herb from Jean and a Heal Litany from Ronfar will remedy this. Keep in mind that Plantella can use its first 2 attacks in its 3rd form, so be ready for them. Overall, this a trickier fight than the Guardian, but with Jean's high agility, Ronfar's healing, and Hiro's Poe Sword, you'll take down this over-grown plant in no time. ------------------- Boss #3 Magic Tester LX1 Stats Attack- 90 Attacks- 1 Defense- 90 Agility- 30 Speed- 36 Wisdom- 30 Magic Endurance- 5 Range- 50 Luck- 10 Hit Points- 2700 Experience Points- 1080 Silver- 0 Recommended Levels- Hiro 19, Ronfar 19, Jean 18 Strategy Prior to fighting the Tester, use the Order command to move Lucia out to the front, with Hiro, Jean, and Ronfar in the back, spread out evenly. We'll want Lucia to be our meat shield, and she will help out by countering with Napalm Shot. Also, heal everyone's MP before fighting this guy, as this battle will be very magic intensive. For a welcome change of pace, have Hiro use Boomerang, as the Tester is weak against it. This will help conserve Hiro's MP, as well. Have Ronfar first cast Saint Litany on Lucia, then on the rest of the party. He then can either heal as needed, or use Anger Dice. Have Jean use Sleep Step and dish out Herbs to people who need them. Lucia, as mentioned earlier, will be our meat shield, and thus will counter with Napalm Shot. The Magic Tester also has 3 forms, with 4 attacks in all to use. Its first form has 1100 HP, the 2nd has 900 HP, and the 3rd form has 700 HP. In its first form, the Tester has 2 attacks. If you see the Tester's mouth opening and closing, it's going to use its first attack, which will hit 1 character with a stream of bubbles. This will deal a moderate amount of damage and may put the character to sleep. An Herb and Holy Water will take care of this. The Tester's 2nd attack will be seen when the wind up key in its back is spinning. The Tester will walk up to 1 character and play its drums, dealing around 70 damage. A Heal Litany will alleviate this. After a while, the Tester's arms will explode, meaning that you've reached the 2nd form. In this form, you may see the bubble attack, or its newest attack, in which it jumps in the air and land on 1 character. This attack will deal moderate damage to whoever it hits, as well as anyone within range. A Calm Litany will take care of this. After another long while, the Tester's legs will explode, signifying that you've reached the 3rd and final form. You may see the bubble attack once again, or its 4th attack. When you see sparks flying out of the Tester's mouth, it's going to shoot LAZERS directly in front of it, hitting anyone in its path. This attack deals lots of damage to whoever it hits, so quick healing will be needed. Overall, this boss is not overly difficult, but just takes a while, due to its multiple forms. But with persistent healing and a hasty assualt, this doll will fall. Here's a tip from GameFAQs user Yunie1000: 'When the Tester uses its bubble attack, try tapping X when each bubble hits the targeted character. This can sometimes keep the attacks' sleep effect from working. I personally haven't tested this, but Yunie has assured me it does, so give it a try sometime." ^_^ ------------------- Boss #4 Missing Link Stats Attack- 135 Attacks- 1 Defense- 65 Agility- 40 Speed- 49 Wisdom- 40 Magic Endurance- 35 Range- 50 Luck- 5 Hit Points- 2700 Experience Points- 2600 Silver- 0 Recommended Levels: Hiro 24, Ronfar 24, Jean 24, Lemina 24 Strategy Before fighting the Link, take a second to arrange your party. Move Hiro to the upper left corner, Ronfar to the bottom left, Jean in the bottom right, Lemina in the upper right, and Lucia in the middle. This will draw the Link's single target attack at Hiro, who can absorb it quite well. As an added bonus, Lucia will heal your party completely prior to the fight, so you can fight at full strength. One more thing, equip Hiro with the Phoenix Ring, found in Mt. Zulan. Have Hiro use Poe Sword each and every turn. Have Ronfar cast Saint Litany on everyone, starting with Hiro. He then can heal as necessary, or use Anger Dice. Have Jean use her normal attck each turn, or heal with items as needed. Have Lemina cast her Flame Shot spell every turn, to deal lots of damage to the Link. Lucia will be a lot more helpful now, as she will heal hurt party members with Heal Litany, use stat raising spells, or attack with Napalm Shot. The Missing Link has only 1 form and 3 attacks to use. The Link's first attack a powerful fist smash on one character. You'll see this coming when you see the Link hitting its chest with its hands. This causes a lot of damage to whoever it hits and may paralyze them. A quick Heal Litany and a Holy Water will alleviate this. The Link's 2nd attack will be used when its hunched over. He will call an avalanche, damaging everyone on the field. Have Ronfar use a Calm Litany right after being hit. The Link's 3rd and final attack isn't actually an attack. When you see him breathing lots of air, he's about to summon a whirlwind around him, preventing any and all damage for a few turns. Use this time to heal any injured party members, and prepare for the next round. When you see the whirlwind flash red, it means that it will disappear at the end of the current round, so you can continue attacking him at the start of the next round. Overall, this is a welcome fight after the Magic Tester fight, and should go pretty smoothly. Just be sure to keep healed, and you'll emerge victorious. ------------------- Boss #5 Assassins x4 Stats Attack- 75 Attacks- 2 Defense- 113 Agility- 45 Speed- 67 Wisdom- 80 Magic Endurance- 88 Range- 30 Luck- 1 Hit Points- 550 Each Experience Points- 1280 Total Silver- 600 and possibly an Angel's Tear Recommended Levels: Hiro 27, Ronfar 27, Jean 27, Lemina 27 Strategy There's not a whole lot of preparation that's needed before this fight, other than to heal your MP a bit before proceeding. Have Hiro use Poe Sword every round (GASP). Have Ronfar cast Light Litany every round, to deal some good damage and heal himself in the process. Have Jean use Butterfly Dance with her first 2 turns, as to poison the whole group, then attack/heal with items. Lemina will be a big contributer in damage here, as she will be using her Ice Arrows spell to deal loads of damage. To speed things along a bit, concentrate your attacks on one Assassin at a time. The Assassins only have 2 attacks to use. Their first attack is a simple 2 hit punch on 1 character. Their other attack is a bit more painful. When you see an Assassin ablaze, he will rush at 1 character and hit them with a strong punch, dealing around 60-70 damage. If multiple Assassins use this in one round, have Ronfar use Calm Litany. Overall, this is not hard at all, and really only a mini boss battle. Ice Arrows will rip these guys apart and the fight will be over before you know it. ------------------- Boss #6 Flame Fang Stats Attack- 85 Attacks- 1 Defense- 80 Agility- 25 Speed- 54 Wisdom- 90 Magic Endurance- 80 Range- 40 Luck- 5 Hit Points- 5000 Experience Points- 6000 Silver- 0 Recommended Levels: Hiro 30, Ronfar 30, Leo 35 Strategy Prior to fighting this burning birdy, take a second to heal your party, and make some equipment changes. Give Hiro the Wind Ring and Healing Ring, and move him out to the far left and middle of the screen. He will be acting as our tank for this fight. Have Ronfar and Leo in the upper and lower right corners of the screen, respectively. Hiro will be using Poe Sword every round, as per usual. Have Ronfar cast Saint Litany on Hiro first, then himself and Leo. This will stack along with Hiro's Healing Ring, which will restore around 50 HP after every round. This is why we want Hiro to tank, as he will be taking very few damage in this fight. After that, Ronfar can use either Light or Calm Litany, as needed. Have Leo use his Flash Blade attack every round. The Flame Fang has 3 attacks in its arsenal. Its first attack will hit one character, in this case Hiro, with an explosion of fire for some good damage, though it will be much less with the Wind Ring equipped. You'll see this attack coming when the Fang's wings are flapping slowly. The Fang's second attack will hit everyone in the party with a shower of fire, dealing lots of damage to Ronfar and Leo, but little to Hiro. While this attack hurts Ronfar and Leo more than Hiro, you don't have to worry about healing them, because Saint Litany will take care of that for you. When you see the Fang's wings flapping very quickly, it's going to launch its claws at one character, in our case Hiro again, for a small amount of damage. Good thing you equipped that Wing Ring, am I right? :) Overall, this fight is really easy, with Hiro acting as our tank through the course of the fight. Healing won't be needed very often, as Saint Litany will do that for us. ------------------- Boss #7 Ghaleon Stats Attack- ? Attacks- ? Defense- ? Agility- ? Speed- ? Wisdom- ? Magic Endurance- ? Range- ? Luck- ? Hit Points- ? Experience Points- ? Silver- ? Recommended Levels: Doesn't matter For completion's sake, I'm including this boss fight. Regardless of what you do, you can't win this fight. Just attack each round and the fight will end. *SPOILER ALERT* We will be fighting this guy again in the future. *END SPOILER* ------------------- Boss #8 Lord Leo Stats Attack- 60-200 Attacks- 2 Defense- 200 Agility- 50 Speed- 30 Wisdom- 25 Magic Endurance- 60 Range- 18 Luck- 10 Hit Points- 750 Experience Points- 5000 Silver- 0 Recommended Levels: Hiro 33 As far as preparation goes, just make sure Hiro's fully healed and equipped with a Healing Ring. 'Nuff said. Since we only have Hiro, we don't have a lot of options as far as attacks go. Though we have the tried and true Poe Sword at our disposal, so use that every round. Other than that, use a Healing Nut if needed. Leo will be using 3 attacks against us. His first attack is his Flash Blade, which will be seen when Leo is spinning his sword. This is Leo's strongest attack, dealing around 110 HP. Leo's 2nd attack is an earth spell, which will be seen when Leo is holding his arm out. Leo's 3rd and final attack will either be a normal attack or a healing item used on himself. Personally, I have never seen him use his physical attack, only a healing item. Overall, this is not a difficult fight, since it's just 1 on 1. Just be sure to heal Hiro when his HP is low with a Healing Nut and you'll win. ------------------- Boss #9 White Fiend Stats Attack- 100 Attacks- 1 Defense- 100 Agility- 100 Speed- 43-82 Wisdom- 40-99 Magic Endurance- 80-99 Range- 0 Luck- 10 Hit Points- 4500 Experience Points- 11000 Silver- 0 Recommended Levels: Hiro 35, Ronfar 34, Jean 34, Lemina 34 strategy Here we go, our first real boss of Disc 2. Before fighting this guy, make sure your party is fully healed, and you equip them with proper accessories. Have Hiro equipped with the Phoenix and Healing Ring. Equip Jean with a Healing Ring too, along with the Warrior and Seal Crests. This combo will double her attack power, but reduce her to just 1 attack, instead of 2. This combo is quite useful here, as her dances will have little effect on the White Fiend. Also, make sure Lemina has both the Dispel and Erase Magic spells. These will both prove very helpful in this fight. She learns Dispel Magic at Level 24 and Erase Magic at Level 32. As usual, have Hiro use Poe Sword every round. Have Ronfar cast Saint Litany on Hiro first, then the rest of the party. He then can either attack with Anger Dice or heal with Calm/Tranquil litany, depending on if he's on Level 34 or not. Have Jean just use her physical attack each round, which will deal around 170 HP with the pre-mentioned crest combo. Otherwise, she can dole out healing items to those in need. Lemina will be a critical character in this fight. She will be busy casting Dispel/Erase Magic as needed, or using Flame Shot, to strike at the Fiend's weakness to fire. The White Fiend has a total of 4 attacks to use. When you see a white circle below the Fiend, it's going to fly in the air and unleash a blast of ice, hitting everyone. This attack is the Fiend's strongest of the 4, but a quick Tranquil Litany will remedy this. After the Fiend uses this, have Lemina use her Erase Magic spell, to clear the field of the water element. The Fiend's 2nd attack will be used when you see a glowing pentagram beneath the Fiend. He will cast a spell to raise its own attack and defense. Have Lemina use her Dispel Magic spell, to erase the stat boosts. You can use this free turn to heal anyone that needs it. The Fiend's 3rd attack will strike a character with a strong ice attack. You'll see this coming when you see the Fiend's head raised in the air. This attack isn't too painful; A quick Heal Litany will be all that's needed to alleviate this. The Fiend's 4th attack is another multi-target ice spell. The Fiend will use this when it's just standing around and breathing in and out. Tranquil Litany is the way to go after this attack. Overall, this fight is a step up from bosses in Disc 1, but with Ronfar on the healing front, and persistent attacks from Hiro, Jean, and Lemina, this battle will be over sooner than you may think. ------------------- Boss #10 Master Lunn Stats Attack- 100-150 Attacks- 1 Defense- 130 Agility- 15-20 Speed- 60 Wisdom- 90 Magic Endurance- 100 Range- 0 Luck- 5 Hit Points- 2100 Experience Points- 8800 Silver- 0 Recommended Levels: Jean 36 Before fighting Lunn, make sure Jean is fully healed. Also, equip her with a Healing Ring and 2 Warrior Crests, which can be bought in Horam. This will increase her attack by 30 points. For good measure, bring along 10 or so Healing Nuts. With Jean's first turn, have her use Dopple Dance. This will call a dopple ganger to attack at the end of the round, for 3 rounds. After that, have her use Blue Dragon Palm each round, or use a Healing Nut if need be. Lunn has 4 attacks in total. His first attack is a leaping kick. You'll know when he's ging to use it when his left leg is extended in front of him. This attack isn't too much to worry about, as the Healing Ring will heal some of the damage. Lunn's 2nd attack is used when he is standing still with his arms folded. He will teleport next to Jean and punch her twice, each punch dealing around 25 HP. This is Lunn's weakest attack. Lunn's 3rd attack is his most powerful. When you see him standing with his palm extended, he's going to unleash a wave of energy shaped like a dragon at Jean. There is an easy way to avoid this, however. When you see him preparing to use it, have Jean Defend and move her down to completely avoid it. This will only work if you have not attacked him with a regular attack. This little trick will save you from losing a lot of HP, and is pretty cool to do. ^_^ Lunn's 4th and final attack is a self healing move. When he is standing still with his arms at his sides, he will heal himself for around 300 HP, as well as increase his defense by a few points, usually 7 or 8. You can use this free turn to use a Healing Nut if necessary. Overall, this is a little harder than our last solo fight, but with Jean's Blue Dragon Palm, Lunn will quickly concede defeat. Here's a tip from GameFAQs user Yunie1000: "Equip Jean with 2 Healing Rings for this fight. They'll stack with each other, allowing Jean to recover much more HP than with just 1 Ring, thus cutting down on the need to heal." ------------------- Boss #11 Blue Fiend Stats Attack- 120 Attacks- 1 Defense- 120 Agility- 100 Speed- 46-91 Wisdom- 80-110 Magic Endurance- 40 Range- 0-16 Luck- 10-30 Hit Points- 5000 Experience Points- 16500 Silver- 0 Recommended Levels: Hiro 38 (40), Ronfar 38 (40), Jean 38 (40), Lemina 38 (40) Strategy Before fighting this Fiend, I wanna explain the Recommended Levels. There's an enemy in the Blue Dragon Cave called the Doom Rigger. When you fight it, it will call a bunch of Scurvy Slugs to fight with it. If you can kill the Doom Rigger before it can escape, as well as the Slugs, you'll gain 3511 EXP and 1000 Silver! This gives us a great oppurtunity to train, if you so choose. It's entirely your call if you want to do this or not. If you choose to do it, train to Level 40. Otherwise, Level 38 will suffice. As far as preparation goes, make sure everyone is fully healed, and equipped properly. Give Hiro a Healing Ring and a Phoenix Ring. Equip Jean with the Anti Magic Ring, to increase her magic defense by 10%. Also, give Jean a Warrior Crest and the White Dragon Crest. This enables the White Dragon Protect spell (abbreviated as WDP from now on). This will guard every character from any magic attack only once and costs 50 MP. With Jean's high speed, you can use this at the start of the battle, to protect everyone from any bosses' most powerful attack. Ronfar and Lemina won't be needing any equipment changes. To start, have Hiro use Poe Sword. Have Ronfar cast Saint Litany on everyone, starting with Hiro and Jean. He then can use Tranquil Litany to heal, or use Anger Dice if he has a free turn. Have Jean use WDP first, then use Dopple Dance, then use Blue Dragon Palm. Lemina will be quite busy in this battle, just like in the White Fiend battle. She'll need to use Flame Shot, Erase Magic, or a Star Light on Jean when she's low on MP. The Blue Fiend has 4 attacks in all. The Fiend's 1st attack is a hit-all water attack. This will also activate the Water element on the field. This is when you'll want Jean to use WDP, with her first turn. This will completely nullify the attack. Afterwards, have Lemina cast Erase Magic, to clear the field of the Water element. You will see this attack coming when the Fiend's head is rearing back and it's breathing in magical energy. The Fiend's 2nd attack will be seen when the Fiend is just chilling, not doing much of anything. It will let loose a torrent of water, usually hitting the character closest to it, usually Hiro or Jean. This attack has a chance of muting its target, so be ready with a Holy Water, just in case. The Fiend's 3rd attack is another hit all water attack. It will call a water- spout, lifting everyone into the air and slamming them back into the ground, dealing a good amount of damage. You'll know this is coming when you see the Fiend's eyes and horns glowing. Respond to this attack with a Tranquil Litany. The Fiend's 4th and final attack is a self healing spell. When you see a pentagram below the Fiend, he's going to heal himself for around 1267 HP. You can use this turn to heal and revive your party, and prepare for the next attack. Overall, this fight can be a little tough, since the Fiend has multiple multi target spells. But with WDP and Tranquil Litany, you can outlast the Fiend and come out on top. ------------------- Boss #12 Borgan Stats Attack- 150-200 Attacks- 1 Defense- 180-200 Agility- 50 Speed- 10-200 Wisdom- 70-127 Magic Endurance- 120 Range- 0 Luck- 10 Hit Points- 4200 Experience Points- 18700 Silver- 0 Recommended Levels: Hiro 42, Ronfar 42, Jean 42, Lemina 42 Strategy Before fighting this tub of lard, make sure to heal at the Althena's Statue in the Guild. As far as equipment is concerned, give a Healing Ring to Hiro, Jean and Ronfar. Give Jean the White Dragon Crest and Lemina the Blue Dragon Crest. This enables Blue Dragon Healing, which heals everyone fully at the cost of 40 MP. Have Hiro use Poe Sword every round. I wonder how many times Hiro has said "Dodge this!" so far. Anyway, have Ronfar use his Divine Litany spell, acquired at Level 42. This replaces Saint Litany and will heal everyone after every round. A very useful spell indeed. Have Jean use Dopple Dance first, then WDP, then continue with Blue Dragon Palm. Have Lemina use Ice Arrows every round, or throw a Star Light in Jean's direction. Borgan, like previous bosses, has 4 attacks to use. His first attack will drain around 100 MP from 1 character! You'll see this coming when you see the left head behind Borgan glowing. Use a Star Light on the targeted character to regain some of the lost MP. Borgan's 2nd attack is the strongest of the bunch. When all 3 heads behind Borgan are glowing, he's going to summon 5 dark pillars of magic, hitting everyone for lots of damage. Make sure Jean casts WDP before Borgan uses this, or you risk losing a character or 2. Borgan's 3rd attack is a single target explosive spell which deals considerable damage and may cause the hit character to fall asleep. The middle head behind Borgan will be glowing when he's going to use this. Borgan's 4th attack is a defensive maneuver. When you see the right head glowing, Borgan's going to create a shield to protect him. He'll use this at the start of the round, before anyone else gets a turn. This barrier will be the only thing you can target until you destroy it. Personally, I haven't seen this attack myself, so I'm not sure as to how much HP is as before it shatters. If someone knows, please send me an e-mail and I will give you credit in the guide. Overall, Borgan isn't too hard, as long as you use WDP accordingly and stay on top of healing with Tranquil Litany. ------------------- Boss #13 Black Fiend Stats Attack- 50-150 Attacks- 1 Defense- 450 (O_O) Agility- 50 Speed- 62-116 Wisdom- 50-140 Magic Endurance- 0 Range- 0 Luck- 1-10 Hit Points- 5000 Experience Points- 24200 Silver- 0 Recommended Levels: Hiro 44, Ronfar 44, Jean 44, Lemina 44 Strategy Now here's an interesting boss. This guy is resistant to all physical attacks, and can only be hit by magic. It doesn't help that our damage output won't be as high as usual, but we can work around it. Before fighting the Fiend, heal everyone fully and make some changes to everyone's equipment. Equip Hiro with a Healing Ring. Give Ronfar the Stardust Ring, found earlier in the Black Dragon Cave. This will heal a bit of MP after every round. Also, give him a Vigor Ring, to protect him from paralysis. Equip Jean with a Healing Ring, and the Fresh Ring, found in the Zaback Mines. Finally, give her an elemental crest, along with the White Dragon Crest. Lemina does not require any equipment changes. To start, Hiro will be shocking us by NOT using Poe Sword. Instead, have him use Cross Boomerang every round. Have Ronfar cast Divine Litany first, then heal as needed. Trust me, he'll be doing that a lot. Have Jean use WDP first, then use her single target elemental spell, given to her by her equipped crest. It doesn't matter which elemental crest you give her, as each spell will do around the same damage. Have Lemina use Ice Arrows every round, as this will be your biggest damage dealer. The Black Fiend also has 4 attacks to use, and all of them suck. The Fiend's first attack is used when its wings are spread. It will cast a spell to drain MP from every character. Have Jean use WDP first, although the Fiend will get the spell off first. The Fiend's 2nd attack is a single target attack. When the Fiend's wings are closed, it's going to shock a character with a floating sphere of energy. This attack hurts like hell, but since Jean used WDP to start the fight, this will be nullified. The Fiend's 3rd attack will be seen when the Fiend's wings are burning with purple fire. It will unleash an attack that damages everyone, as well as potentially paralyzing everyone. This is why you want paraylysis preventing equipment on Ronfar and Jean; Ronfar can cast Clean Litany to heal anyone paralyzed and Jean's high Speed will allow her to quickly heal anyone, also. The Fiend's 4th attack is also a single target attack. When you see the Fiend's wings are closed and its neck is hunched over, its going to hurl a large metal ring (?) at 1 character, dealing loads of damage and possibly paralyzing them. Be sure to heal the hit character A.S.A.P, or you risk having them killed. Overall, this is probably the hardest fight of the game so far, and it's quite possible you may get a game over or two. But keep at it, and you'll take this guy down. Here's a quick tip from GameFAQs user, Ravashack. "Clump up and use Lemina's Magic Shield. Then keep it up whenever it shatters. Makes the fight significantly easier when you're not taking any damage on multiple turns. Even if you get sucked in range of the Devastators accidentally, Magic Shield will prevent you from being yanked into range elsewhere while it is up." ------------------- Boss #14 Mauri's Id Stats Attack- 200 Attacks- 1 Defense- 150 Agility- 50 Speed- 15-104 Wisdom- 40 Magic Endurance- 100 Range- 99 Luck- 10 Hit Points- 2000 for each normal head and 3500 for the 6th head Experience Points- 29430 Silver- 0 Recommended Levels: Hiro 46, Jean 46, Lemina 46, Leo 45 Strategy This battle throws an interesting twist at us, seeing as how we don't have Ronfar available. Thus, our healing will be limited to only items. This makes the fight a little tougher, but it's still manageable. On the equipment front, equip Hiro with a Wind Ring and Healing Ring. Equip a Healing Ring on Jean as well. She won't be needing the White Dragon Crest for this fight. Lemina and Leo are just fine with their normal set ups. Now, there's 2 ways you can go about this battle, the longer yet easier way, or the quicker and slightly harder way. I'll be using the quicker way for this fight. FYI, the longer method is simply talk to each and every Mauri clone other than the 2nd from the right. You'll fight all 5 heads, then the 6th head. Here's what you need to do for the quick route. As Ronfar, talk to the first light you see, then proceed north to 5 Mauri clones. Choose the 2nd Mauri from the right to start the first part of the battle. Take out the flaming head, then things will go back to Ronfar. Talk to the light you see up north, then speak to the Mauri in the middle. This will cause the 6th head to appear. Take out this head and you'll win the fight. As far as what you need to do to win, start with Hiro using Poe Sword each round on the flaming head. Have Jean use Blue Dragon Palm, Lemina use Ice Arrows, and Leo use Flash Blade. If you need to heal, have Jean use a Healing Nut or Life Jewel, depending on if 1 person is hurt or multiple people are hurt. Mauri's Id has only 3 attacks to use against you. When you see a head is aflame, it will breathe a stream of fire at one character, dealing a small amount of damage. Mauri's 2nd attack will be used when any other head is not aflame. The head will breathe a stream of blue fire at one character. Mauri's 3rd atatck is only seen when the 6th head has appeared. It will hit everyone with a shower of fire, dealing a moderate amount of damage. Overall, this fight isn't too bad, even without Ronfar. Each head, save the 6th, will die after 1 full round, then an attack from Jean. The 6th head will take a bit longer, but with Healing Nuts/Life Jewels taking care of healing, this fight shouldn't last more than a few minutes. ------------------- Boss #15 Red Fiend Stats Attack- 200 Attacks- 1 Defense- 100 Agility- 50 Speed- 50-150 Wisdom- 15-125 Magic Endurance- 0 Range- 0 Luck- 30 Hit Points- 11000 Experience Points- 36300 Silver- 0 Recommended Levels: Hiro 48, Ronfar 47, Jean 48, Lemina 48 Strategy Before fighting the final Fiend, take a second to heal everyone and prepare them for battle. Equip Hiro with a Healing Ring and the Wind Ring. Give Ronfar a Healing Ring. Equip Jean with a Healing Ring, also, and the Water Ring. Also, give Jean the White Dragon Crest. Lemina won't be needing any equipment changes. To begin, have Hiro use Poe Sword every round. Luckily, he will get an upgrade from Poe Sword in time for the next boss. Have Ronfar cast Divine Litany first, then heal as needed with Tranquil Litany. Have Jean use WDP with her first turn, then use Dopple Dance, then proceed to Blue Dragon Palm. Have Lemina use Ice Arrows every round for great damage, unless the Fiend has changed the field's element to Fire, then she'll need to use Erase Magic. The Red Fiend has 4 attacks to use against you, all of them spelling trouble. The Fiend's first attack will be used when you see a ring of fire underneath the Fiend. It's going to scorch everyone for lots of damage and change the field to the Fire element. WDP will prevent this, thus saving you from oodles of damage. If you see the Fiend standing still, you're going to see its 2nd attack. It's going to breathe a stream of fire across the screen, damaging anyone in the line of fire. (LOL bad pun) Anyway, this attack should only hit 1 or 2 people, but still causes lots of damage. Have Ronfar use a Tranquil Litany after this attack. If you see a pentagram below the Fiend, it's going to raise its attack power by quite a bit. With the Fiend's powerful attacks, this makes them much worse, so counter it with Lemina's Dispel Magic. The other characters can heal themselves as needed. The Fiend's 4th and final attack will be used when you see its wings flapping rapidly. It's going to dash across the screen and strike a character 3 times, dealing considerable damage. A quick Healing Nut or Purity Litany will take care of this. Overall, this Fiend hits plenty hard, but with its relatively low defense, you can deal lots of damage. Just keep up with healing and the last of the 4 Fiends will fall. ------------------- Boss #16 Fake Althena Stats Attack- 20-200 Attacks- 1 Defense- 10 Agility- 50 Speed- 30-200 Wisdom- 130 Magic Endurance- 10 Range- 50 Luck- 99 Hit Points- 10000 Experience Points- 40000 Silver- 0 Recommended Levels: Hiro 50, Ronfar 50, Jean 50, Lemina 50 Strategy You won't need to worry about healing before this fight, since there's a Statue right outside her room. Other than that, make sure Hiro, Jean, and Ronfar have Healing Rings and that Jean has the White Dragon Crest. To start, have Hiro try out his new Triple Sword attack. This alone will deal well over 1000 HP! This will make the fight move along much faster. Anyway, have Ronfar use Divine Litany first, then heal as necessary with Tranquil Litany. Have Jean use Dopple Dance with her first turn, then use Blue Dragon Palm each round, except for when she needs to use WDP, which will be when Althena is going to use her 5th attack. Have Lemina cast Power Drive on Hiro first, then Jean. After that, have her use Ice Arrows every round. The Fake Althena has 5 attacks in all to use. Her first attack will be used when you see her holding her staff in the air and it's on fire. This will raise her defense by a few points. This is essentially a free round to prepare your party for further rounds. Her 2nd attack will be used when you see her staff held in her left hand up in the air. She will toss her staff across the screen, hitting eveyone onscreen for major damage. Have Ronfar use Tranquil Litany after this to bring everyone up to snuff. Althena's 3rd attack will be used when she is holding her staff out in front of her, with her left hand. She will walk towards 1 character and strike him or her with her tail, dealing a good amount of damage and possibly poisoning them. A Healing Nut and a Purity Herb will take care of this. Althena's 4th attack will be used when you see her hands together, as if she's in prayer. She's going to hit one character with a group of 5 silver orbs. I haven't seen this attack used very often, so I can't say for sure how much damage it does. Althena's 5th and final attack is a doozy. When you see the snakes on her shoulers shivering, she'll unleash a huge blast of light straight across the screen, quite possibly killing whoever it hits in 1 hit! Needless to say, you'll want Jean to use WDP prior to this. Failing this, use an Angel's Tear to bring back any dead allies, or use Ronfar's Miracle Litany, to fully revive anyone. Overall, Althena has some very powerful attacks in her arsenal, but with a relatively low amount of HP, you should be able to take her down quickly. With Hiro using Triple Sword and Lemina having cast Power Drive on him, he'll cut through her HP at an alarming rate and victory will be yours. ------------------- Boss #17 Ghaleon Stats Attack- 300 Attacks- 1 Defense- 280 Agility- 100 Speed- 30-100 Wisdom- 120 Magic Endurance- 120 Range- 99 Luck- 10 Hit Points- 7000 Experience Points- 50000 Silver- 0 Recommended Levels: Hiro 51, Ronfar 51, Jean 51, Lemina 51, Leo 50 Strategy This will be a two part fight. Make sure everyone is fully healed, and be sure to equip Hiro, Jean, and Ronfar with Healing Rings. Also, equip Hiro with a Warrior Crest and the Goddess Crest, found in the Goddess Tower. This combo will raise Hiro's attack power by 50 points. Finally, make sure Jean has the White Dragon Crest equipped. For the first part, have everyone except Lemina attack physically, since you don't have any MP for the moment. Have Lemina use Healing Nuts on any injured party members. After dealing around 3000 HP, the first part of the fight will end. For the 2nd part of the fight, have Hiro use Triple Sword every turn. Have Ronfar cast Divine Litany first, then heal with Tranquil Litany as needed. Have Jean use Slam Dance, her more powerful doppleganger, with her first turn, then use Blue Dragon Palm every turn, except when she'll need to use WDP on round 3. Have Lemina use Power Drive on Hiro first, then Jean, then Leo. She then can help out with healing by using items. Have Leo use his Earth Prayer spell to increase his own attack and defense, then use Soul Blade every turn. Ghaleon has 5 attacks in all to use. His first attack will be used when you see him standing at ease with his sword held slightly vertically in the air. He's going to slash 1 character for some decent damage. Ghaleon's 2nd attack will be used when you see his sword held completely vertically, pulsing with purple electricity. He's going to slash 1 character for lots of damage. Counter this with a Purity Litany from Ronfar, or a Passion Fruit. Ghaleon's 3rd attack will be used when his sword is pointed at the ground's direction, with purple flames coming from the blade. He's going to summon a meteor shower, which hits everyone for massive damage. This is why you'll want Jean to use WDP before Ghaleon uses this attack. Ghaleon's 4th attack will be used when you see his fist glowing, with his sword pointing down. He's going to call a lightning bolt to shock 1 character, as well as anyone within radius of the shock. Ghaleon's 5th and final attack will be used when his sword his being held vertically. He's going to trap one character in a shell of magic, dealing a large amount of damage and may paralyze them. How wonderful. X_X Overall, Ghaleon is quite a difficult boss, but with his 7000 HP, you can expect to kill him pretty quickly. Just make extra sure to keep up with healing, otherwise you could fall behind and lose. ------------------- Boss #18 Zophar (First Form) Stats Attack- 250 Attacks- 2 Defense- 300 Agility- 100 Speed- 10-76 Wisdom- 110 Magic Endurance- 130 Range- 50 Luck- 10 Hit Points- 16000 Experience Points- 0 Silver- 0 Recommended Levels: Hiro 54, Ronfar 54, Jean 54, Lemina 54, Leo 53 Strategy Well, here we are, the final boss fight of the game against Zophar. This guy has a large assortment of attacks to use, as well as 4 forms in all. Before fighting him, heal eveyone fully and check their equipment. Here's my suggestions: Hiro: Ghaleon's Sword, Master Shield, Master Helmet, Dyne's Armor, Healing Ring, Spirit Talisman/Force Ring, Warrior Crest, Goddess Crest Ronfar: Holy Mace, Holy Bracelet, Aura Bandanna, Miracle Clothes, Stardust Ring, Angel Ring, Red Dragon Crest, Chiro Crest Jean: Crushing Fist, Tiger Armlet, Tiger Wrap, Holy Hairpin, Healing Ring, Angel Ring, Warrior Crest, White Dragon Crest Lemina: Star Dagger, Psycho Gauntlet, Aura Robe, Holy Hairpin, Protection Ring, Barrier Ring, Blue Dragon Crest, Magic Eye Crest Leo: Master Sword/White Fang, Master Shield, Master Helmet, Dyne's Armor, Healing Ring, Clear Ring, Warrior Crest, Warrior Crest Here's what you need to do to defeat the first form. Have Hiro use Triple Sword every turn. Have Ronfar cast Divine Litany first, then heal as needed. Have Jean use Slam Dance first, then WDP, then Blue Dragon Palm. Have Lemina cast Power Drive on Hiro, Jean, and Leo, in that order. Have Leo use Earth Prayer first, then use Soul Blade. Zophar's first form has attacks in all. Zophar's first attack will cause a strike a character for decent damage and possibly mute them. Use a Holy Water on any muted characters. Zophar's 2nd attack will trigger a meteor shower. This is when you'll want Jean to use WDP. Zophar's 3rd attack will cause a sheet of glass to appear beneath a character, hitting them, and anyone else in range, for some good damage. Zophar's 4th attack will hit a character a weak laser. Zophar's 5th attack is the same as his 4th. Overall, this is a fairly straight forward fight, but this is the first form, after all. Believe me, it's gonna get a lot worse very soon. ------------------- Zophar's 2nd Form Stats Attack- 40-200 Attacks- 1-2 Defense- 250-280 Agility- 100 Speed- 10-130 Wisdom- 100-2000 (O_O) Magic Endurance- 90-150 Range- 50 Luck- 10 Hit Points- 6000-17000 Experience Points- 0 Silver- 0 Strategy The 2nd form of Zophar is a battle of attrition, one lasting just 5 turns. It's your job to hold out until then. In the mean time, use the Defend command to move the party into an X formation, with Hiro in the upper left corner, Leo in the lower left, Jean in the center, Ronfar in the upper right, and Lemina in the lower right. After doing that, have Lemina cast Power Drive a few times each on Hiro and Leo. Have Ronfar cast Divine Litany, then use Tranquil Litany to keep everybody healthy. Once you last 5 turns, Lucia will break free and fully heal everyone. Then, the real fight begins. ------------------- Zophar's 3rd Form Stats Attack- 40-200 Attacks- 1-2 Defense- 250-280 Agility- 100 Speed- 10-130 Wisdom- 100-2000 (O_O) Magic Endurance- 90-150 Range- 50 Luck- 10 Hit Points- 6000-17000 Experience Points- 0 Silver- 0 Strategy This is without a doubt the hardest of Zophar's 4 forms. He has 5 targetable parts, each with a plethora of attacks. Keep in mind as your fighting him that we will be targeting ONLY THE HEAD, and that the left arm is resistant to magic and the right arm is resistant to physical attacks. Have Hiro use Triple Sword on the head every round. Ronfar shouldn't need to recast Divine Litany, so have him use Tranquil Litany every round, or use Miracle Litany on any dead characters. Have Jean use WDP EVERY ROUND. Be 100% sure that she has at least 50 MP at the start of every round. Have Lemina cast Power Drive on Hiro and Leo, then use Star Lights on Hiro or Jean. Have Leo use Earth Prayer first, then use Soul Blade on the head. He can also help out with MP restoration my using Star/silver Lights. In total, Zophar's 3rd form has 17 (!!!) attacks to use. Each of his 5 parts has some attacks, which will be explained below. Left Hand: Heals one part of his body, Absorbs HP from 1 character and heals all his parts, Absorbs MP from 1 character and heals his hands, Hits a character with a column of black magic, Casts Dispel Magic on 1 character Right Hand: Zone Ice attack, Zone Wind attack, Zone Electric attack, Zone Fire attack, Zone Rock attack If Red Jewel: Zaps 1 character, inflicing a random status ailment If Blue Jewel: Calls a meteor shower, hitting everyone If Green Jewel: Drops an electric bomb on 1 character If White Jewel: Casts Erase Magic If Yellow Jewel: Hits 1 character with a radioactive bomb Electric Hand: Hits a character with a gust of Wind Moving Jaw: Hits a character from anywhere from 7000 to 9999 HP! No joke. X_X Overall, this fight is hard as hell. Luckily, WDP will nullify a good number of these attacks, enabling you to keep up with healing. As long as you continually attack the head, Zophar will fall and you will win this epic battle! Here's a tip from GameFAQs user, Yunie1000. "Equipping the Fiend Ring on Jean will increase her Defense and Magic Defense by a large amount, but will leave her with 1 HP at the start of the battle. You can heal her at the start of the battle, and then she will resist many of Zophar's attacks, making her a great tank." ------------------- Zophar's 4th Form Stats Attack- 220 Attacks- 1 Defense- 260 Agility- 50 Speed- 78 Wisdom- 130 Magic Endurance- 90 Range- 50 Luck- 10 Hit Points- 2000 Experience Points- 0 Silver- 0 Strategy What the hell, this guy's still alive!? No matter, this form is very easy. Just have Hiro use Triple Sword once, and that will end the battle. Once Zophar is defeated here, he's gone for good! Congratulations on taking down Zophar and saving the world of Lunar! However, you're not quite done yet, as there's a whole new quest available with 6 new bosses waiting to take you on. So what are you waiting for? Let's get the Epilogue Boss Guide started! But before that, there's a few things you need to know before you get going on the Epilogue. First off, your party is scattered across the world, so we need to gather them up. Here's where everyone is at. Ronfar: Raculi Jean: Madoria Carnival Lemina: Vane Magic Guild Leo: Top of the Mystic Ruins Also, when you get everyone back together, make a quick pit stop at Taben's Peak and talk to Nall. He'll give you Althena's Sword, Hiro's most powerful weapon! This awesome sword raises all of Hiro's stats, except number of attacks, by 7, and grants Hiro an additional attack. It also acts as a Healing Ring. Wow, thanks a ton Nall! ------------------- IV) Epilogue Bosses Boss #1 Phantom Sentry Stats Attack- 200 Attacks- 1 Defense- 300 Agility- 50 Speed- 30 Wisdom- 110 Magic Endurance- 110 Range- 50 Luck- 10 Hit Points- 20000 Experience Points- 55000 and Right Opal Jewel Silver- 0 Recommended Levels: Hiro 56, Ronfar 56, Jean 56, Lemina 56, Leo 56 Strategy As far as preparation goes, just make sure everyone is fully healed and decked out in the new equipment found on your way to this guy. Also, make sure Jean has the White Dragon Crest; we'll be using that a lot in the Epilogue. Also, we'll be using the same strategy for each boss in the Epilogue, except the final one. To start, Have Hiro use Triple Sword every round. Have Ronfar cast Divine Litany, then heal with Tranquil Litany. Have Jean use WDP every round, making sure she has at least 50 MP at the start of every round. Have Lemina use Power Drive on Hiro, then use Star/Silver Lights. Have Leo use Earth Prayer, then use Soul Blade every round. He can also help out with restoring MP. The Phantom Sentry has 4 attacks to use against you. Its first attack will be used when it's standing still, with its arms at its sides. It's going to draw your party towards in, in preparation for its next attack. Speaking of its 2nd attack, it HURTS. The Sentry will use it when he has his sword arm extended. Make 100% WDP was cast before this, or you're whole party will be killed in one hit. The Sentry's 3rd attack will be used when its sword arm is extended and glowing. It's going to launch a shock wave across the screen, hitting everyone. This isn't as powerful as its 2nd attack, but it still hurts. WDP is the way to go here. The Sentry's 4th attack is its weakest. When its non sword arm is extended, it's going to zap 1 character. Overall, while the Phantom Sentry has some extremely strong attacks, he really isn't too challenging. Just be sure to follow the strategy and you'll be walking out with the first Dragon Jewel in no time. ------------------- Boss #2 Water Guardian Stats Attack- 40-250 Attacks- 1 Defense- 240 Agility- 50 Speed- 30 Wisdom- 110 Magic Endurance- 110 Range- 50 Luck- 10 Hit Points- 20000 Experience Points- 60000 and Left Sapphire Jewel Silver- 0 Recommended Levels: Hiro 58, Ronfar 58, Jean 58, Lemina 58, Leo 57 Strategy As far as preparation goes, just make sure everyone is fully healed and decked out in the new equipment found on your way to this guy. Also, make sure Jean has the White Dragon Crest. The Water Guardian has 4 attacks in all to use. When you see the Guardian hopping up and down and its gun hand is expanding and retracting, it's going to trap the closest character in a big bubble. The hit character won't be able to do anything until they are killed, or the bubble bursts. When you see the Guardian standing still, its going to hit everyone with a torrent of water. The Guardian's 3rd attack will be used when you see electricity coursing through it. It's going to strike a character with a lightning bolt and hit anyone else in range. The Guardian's 4th attack will be used when it's shaking its head. It's going to blast 1 character with a stream of water. Overall, this is a pretty straight forward battle, but the bubble trap can complicate things a little. But it usually goes away after a few turns, so just wait it out, then continue to pound this guy. ------------------- Boss #3 Hero's Talisman, Sword Arm, Fist Arm Stats (Hero's Talisman) Attack- 1 Attacks- 1 Defense- 250 Agility- 250 Speed- 1 Wisdom- 250 Magic Endurance- 250 Range- 40 Luck- 10 Hit Points- 16000 Experience Points- 50000 Silver- 0 Stats (Sword Arm) Attack- 200 Attacks- 2 Defense- 200 Agility- 200 Speed- 90 Wisdom- 150 Magic Endurance- 150 Range- 35 Luck- 5 Hit Points- 3000 Experience Points- 0 Silver- 0 Stats (Fist Arm) Attack- 150 Attacks- 1 Defense- 140 Agility- 150 Speed- 130 Wisdom- 150 Magic Endurance- 200 Range- 40 Luck- 5 Hit Points- 3000 Experience Points- 0 Silver- 0 Recommended Levels: Hiro 60, Ronfar 60, Jean 60, Lemina 60, Leo 59 Strategy As far as preparation goes, just make sure everyone is fully healed. That's all that's needed. To start, Have Hiro use Triple Sword every round on the Talisman. Have Ronfar cast Divine Litany, then heal with Tranquil Litany. Have Jean use Blue Dragon Palm on the Talisman every round. Have Lemina use Power Drive on hiro, then use Dispel Magic to get rid of the Talisman's stat buffs. Have Leo use Soul blade on the Talisman every round. These guys have very few attacks to use. The Talisman will increase the stats of its guardians and summons more of them. The guardian's will just attack you physically twice. Overall, this fight is very easy; just kill the Talisman right away, and the guardians will fall easily afterwards. After the battle, you receive the Hero's Talisman. Equip it, and it enables the Burning Rage spell, which raises everyone's attack by a huge amount, for only 1 MP! Equip this on Jean for a speedy boost of attack power at the start of a boss battle. ------------------- Boss #4 Knight, Mage, and Angel Guardians Stats (Knight) Resistant to magic, vulnerable to physical attacks Attack- 230 Attacks- 2 Defense- 300 Agility- 100 Speed- 85 Wisdom- 100 Magic Endurance- 100 Range- 40 Luck- 10 Hit Points- 7000 Experience Points- 17000 Silver- 0 Stats (Mage) Resistant to physical and magical attacks Attack- 150 Attacks- 1 Defense- 100 Agility- 150 Speed- 50 Wisdom- 100 Magic Endurance- 400 Range- 40 Luck- 10 Hit Points- 7000 Experience Points- 17000 Silver- 0 Stats (Angel) Resistant to physical attacks, vulnerable to magic Attack- 250 Attacks- 1 Defense- 200 Agility- 100 Speed- 91 Wisdom- 100 Magic Endurance- 300 Range- 40 Luck- 10 Hit Points- 7000 Experience Points- 17000 Silver- 0 Recommended Levels: Hiro 61, Rofar 61, Jean 61, Lemina 61, Leo 60 Strategy As far as preparation goes, just make sure everyone is fully healed. That's all that's needed. Be sure to go after the Mage first with the usual attacks; Hiro's Triple Sword, Jean's Blue Dragon Palm, and Leo's Soul Blade. Have Ronfar keep everyone healthy and have Lemina use Power Drive on everyone once. After that, have her use her Catastrophe spell, just for kicks and giggles. :D As far as their attacks go, the Mage heals each Guardian, the Angel attacks with an assortment of magical attacks, and the Knight hits your party with powerful physical attacks. Overall, this fight isn't hard, but I apologize if I half assed it a little. However, these guys don't have any real spectacular attacks, and thus should just be disposed of post haste. ------------------- Boss #5 Devil Eye (Resistant to physical attacks) Stats Attack- 40-300 Attacks- 1 Defense- 450 Agility- 50 Speed- 65-135 Wisdom- 70 Magic Endurance-150 Range- 12-99 Luck- 10 Hit Points- 12000 Experience Points- 55000 Silver- 0 Recommended Levels: Hiro 62, Ronfar 62, Jean 62, Lemina 62, Leo 61 Strategy As far as preparation goes, just make sure everyone is fully healed. That's all that's needed. Keep in mind that, even though the Devil Eye is resistant to magic, our usual strategy will still work, but our damage output will be lower than normal. You can, however, stick to using magic if you so choose. If you do, just use Cross Boomerang, Red Dragon Anger, and Catastrophe. The Devil Eye has 4 attacks in its arsenal. Its first attack will hit 1 character with a magic attack. You'll see this coming when the Devil Eye's eye is flashing blue and green. Its 2nd attack will hit your whole party with a pyramid of magic. You'll see this coming when the Eye's eye is flashing red and its claws are extended toward your party. Its 3rd attack will hit 1 character and possibly put them to sleep. You'll see this coming when the Eye's eye is solid green and its claws are raising into the air. Its 4th attack will smash 1 character with its claws. You'll see this coming when you see the Eye's head and tail expanding and retracting out of its body. Overall, this guy isn't too hard, but the battle is prolonged, due to its resistance to physical attacks. But with our tried and true strategy, this beast will fall. ------------------- Boss #6 Star Dragon Stats Attack- 250 Attacks- 1 Defense- 250 Agility- 50 Speed- 30 Wisdom- 10 Magic Endurance-100 Range- 50 Luck- 10 Hit Points- 10000 Experience Points- 0 Silver- 0 Recommended Levels: Hiro 63 To prepare for this guy, make sure Hiro has a Healing Ring equipped, along with the Spirit Talisman. Also, be sure to bring along some Healing Nuts and Passion Fruits, just in case. In this 1 on 1 battle, our options are pretty limited, but we'll just be needing Triple Sword. Have Hiro use it every round, stopping only to heal. The Star Dragon has 5 attacks in all, all of them an elemental attack. When the Dragon's horn is twinkling, it's going to hit Hiro with light beams. When the Dragon's spines are glowing red, it's about to use a fire attack. When the Dragon is leaning down and towards Hiro, it's going to use an ice attack. When the Dragon's tail is wiggling and stopping when it's pointed upward, it's going to use an electric attack. When the Dragon's mouth is opening and closing, it's going to use a wind attack. Overall, the Star Dragon is very easy, since it does very little damage and is struck down by Triple Sword in a metter of a few rounds.. After defeating the Star Dragon, head off and enjoy the ending! Congratulations on beating Lunar 2 Eternal Blue Complete! ------------------- V)Closing/Contact Info/Thanks/Copyright Info And with that, my Lunar 2 Boss Guide has come to a close.
