At the 'Player Select' screen enter the following codes and if they have been entered correctly you will either hear a ball bounce or a shout as confirmation.
Unlock Mattox:

Unlock Mr. Tonkin:
Press L2, L2, R1, R1, R1, Down, Triangle, Triangle, Triangle, Triangle, Circle.
Unlock Mrs. Tonkin:
Hold L1 + R2, + Up + Square and press Circle.
Unlock Adversa:
Hold L1, R2, Up, Square, X.
