You see the writing on the wall about the birds? It's a hint. Pelicans, doves and swans are white birds, and ravens and crows are black birds. There are white and black keys on the piano, and the colour of the birds is representative of this.

Five of the keys on the piano do not produce a sound when you play them, so it's obvious that they are to do with the puzzle. Three of the keys that don't play are white, and the other two are black, just like the number of birds to each colour.

What you must do is read the passage about the birds. It's a riddle to find out what order the birds are flying in. Now, each broken key on the piano represents one of the birds. You must press each broken key that you think should represent the bird in question in the order that the birds are listed in the riddle - pelican, dove, raven, swan and crow, in that order. However, the left side of the piano being the furthest behind and the right being the furthest ahead, you must find out the positions of each bird.

If you want a quick answer, here's the solution:

2nd white key from left - pelican
2nd white key from right - dove
1st black key from right - raven
3rd white key from right - swan
1st black key from left - crow

I numbered the white piano key as 1,2,3,4,5,6,7
black key also as 1,2,3,4,5
so heres the answer : key in no.2 (of white key)
no.6 (of white key)
mo.5 (of black key)
no.5 (of white key)
no.1 (of black key)
