How do you beat Gate/Gato?

First,dodge him until he shoots out a circle thing.If you got the ultimate armor,use the invincible dash on it and it will make circles that will fly out.Those things will hurt gate.There are other weapons that work but I'm not sdadure which ones so you have to try them out.The shadow armor's charged sabre works on it I think.
If you're using zero, try Rakukojin, the move you got from Metal Shark Player. Don't use it on Gate directly, instead, use it on the orbs he fires around the boss area. The advantage of this move is that Zero will perform a downward slash with the Z-saber, and the bits that split off the orbs will fly around him and not damage him... Assuming you're careful. Patience is a virtue, this is a difficult fight with X, let alone Zero.
