Question for Harvest Moon Back To Nature

Is elli the little girl from the very start of the game? Beacuse I saw a video that after the third year elli brought(me) in the summit and told me that she's been waiting for me...then the flashbacks played

When you go to sleep on the last day of Winter in the third year you wake up to the Mayor in Spring of the fourth year. That is when the Mayor tells you that you are allowed to stay in the village or you have to leave. If you are married you automatically stay in the village. When you go to the square your wife tells you that she has to tell you something. She takes you to the mountain and tells you that she was the little girl that you were friends with when you were a kid. So to answer your question, if you married Elli than Elli is the girl that you were friends with. But if you married Karen, Ann, Mary or Popuri it's them. The little girl in the beginning is whoever you end up marrying.
