Question for Final Fantasy VIII

Why my magical lamp is not working ???
I have finished the game twice, but I started palying again with the ... Help of ff8 v1.2 trainer. I opted for every GF and by doing that I had all the GFs from the beginning of the game (did that in order to level them up and reach 100 without effort). I played Ifrit as it is needed by the story line, even though I already had him.
But now that I got the "magical lamp" from Cid I cannot use it. I go to the map, I select "Item", I select to Use the magical lamp and the game says "nothing happened...".
I really do not care fighting Diablo at this point, but the Diablo card is essential, as it is one of the cards I use most in my card games.
PLEASE HELP !!! Can this problem be resolved ??? Do I have to do something else while using the magical lamp ?? Will I have problems with other GFs like Bahamut, Cactuar, Tonberry, Doom train etc. ???

It's very strange you can not use the magic lamp, you're probably PLAYING IN THE VERSION THAT CAME TO COMPUTER. THEN YOU SHOULD NOT CONTINUE. MAY HAVE A DEFECT IN THE PROGRAM AND THAT'S WHY YOU CAN NOT USE THE MAGIC LAMP. IN ANY CASE DO NOT CONTINUE TO RISE IN LEVEL OF GUARDIANS. TRY IT AT THE TIME I gave you the magic lamp, you must locate a safe spot (SAVE POINT). Save your game and then use the magic lamp.
