Chocobo help

I've been trying to breed chocobos for some time now and I don't know how to get ones with different colors to go otherplaces. I've read all the guides and how to stuff but none of it is helping. Any tips as to what I can do to speed up the process or at least breed a few?

There is no way to speed up the process of chocobo breeding if you really want them you'll have to spend some time doing the sidequest.

To start you will need to buy stables from chocobo Billy in the chocobo ranch to keep the chocobos, it's best if you buy them all. To catch chocobos you will need to have the chocobo lure materia which you can get from chocobo Billy.

You are also going to need a carob nut and a Zeio nut for breeding the chocobos.
Carob nut- can be stolen from the Vlakrodos enemy which appears on the Northern continent near Chocobo Sage's house.
Zeio nut- can be stolen from the goblins on goblin island Northeast of Midgar.

The special chocobos you're looking for which are blue, green, black and gold can only be obtained using certain types of chocobo as well as the nuts used to breed them. When you catch any chocobo you are shown their rank. The ranks you will need for this sidequest are good, great and wonderful and can only be obtained from certain areas.
Good chocobos- can be obtained from the tracks East of Gold Saucer.
Great chocobos- can be obtained from the tracks near Mideel.
Wonderful chocobos-can be obtained from the tracks near Icicle Inn on the Northern continent.

Racing your chocobos in Gold Saucer to increase their class and feeding them greens to raise their stats will increase the chances of getting one of these special chocobos after breeding Sylkis greens are the best which can be bought from Chocobo Sage but you can also buy other greens in the Chocobo Ranch. Also after mating you will need to wait a while before mating again and you may not get the chocobos you're looking for right away so keep trying until you do.

Here are the chocobos you need to mate to get each of the special chocobos:
Blue(river chocobo)- mate a great male chocobo with a good female chocobo using a carob nut.
Green(mountain chocobo)- mate a good male chocobo with a great female chocobo using a carob nut.
Black(river & mountain chocobo)- mate a blue and green chocobo(must be a male and a female) using a carob nut.
Gold(ocean chocobo)- mate the black chocobo with a wonderful chocobo using the zeio nut.
