Question for Final Fantasy IX

Concerning the Excalibur2, I played for over 100 hours, the clock reset and turned red. Where exacly do I go to find it? Can you get it even if you have already beaten lich/necron? I know I looked in the blue room at the top of the ladder (gateway to space) at the pillar I read so much about, across from the save sphere, but there is nothing there. I fear that you can only get it if you let lich live untill the time is reset. Help me out guys?

I thought about doing the same thing that you're doing, but I fear it may be in vain. See, the timer is red as an indicator that you've played for over 100 hours. This probably lets the game know that you aren't back at the beginning of the timer, and so Excalibur II will not become available. I think the only way you'll get it is if you try to truely play in under 12 hours, then go back and do the stuff you missed after you get it. :(

Shotgunnova answered:

Technically, you CAN get the Excalibur II outside of that initial 12-hour window of opportunity, but you'll have to rack up an insane amount of playing time (2 years+) and that will put your console in danger of degrading, not to mention it's a supreme waste of time anyway.
