Question for Digimon World 3

I've been playing DW3 for a while and one thing is becoming painfully obvious. Patamon is useless for damage. I picked the Kumamon, Patamon, Guilmon pack and while Kumamon and Guilmon are doing great, patamon has become a chore to train. I was trying to turn Patamon into a casting mage tank healer kinda character. From this I've learned Patamon is not a tank...Lowest HP of my entire party. I've been training his wisdom and spirit for most ability damage and heals but I've learned speed is a need! Otherwise my standard attacks never hit and I never evade and if I have no health I spend the whole fight healing. I just want somebody who knows how to build Patamon to tell me how to do it. I really like Mangemon and Seraphimon but at this rate I won't get to them and when I do they'll be weak as hell.

Unfortunately patamon will always be way weaker than the other members of your team in terms of health and attack until you get to the mid 50's and 60's. But what patamon lacks he makes up for in versatility. He easily learns magic related digivolutions and can usually bring 4 or 5 different magic types to the battle. Also if he is going down too quickly, take a break on wisdom and switch to defense or speed. I personally worked on attack and speed for the first 20 levels while throwing in some random spirit or wisdom training so he could at least hold his own before I started working exclusively on his spirit and wisdom. And ALWAYS save before you train. If you save 20 tp and have really bad results when you finally train all you have to do is restart. I would also recommend keeping the digitamamon digivolution at all times when you get wargrowlmon on guilmon. Just make a quick tag for a very explosive surprise.
