First of all, all Digimon will eventually fade away, regardless of what you do. But you can delay it.

Tips:
1. Keep your Digimon happy and disciplined (Should be around at least half way for both)
2. Keep their weight high (This helps them from being tired quickly which happens a lot when near fading)
3. High Parameters and Digivolution Gap (Digivolve your Digimon over a certain gap: Rookie to Champion - max age should be 7 and Champion to Ultimate - Max age should 14)
4. Battle regularly (This helps promote Digivolution)

Do these things and it should help your Digimon live a longer life.

I know because with this method, my Digimon die around the age of 20 days - minimum 18.
