How can I get Shellmon to join the city? :3 Please answer! ^__^

Go to freeze land, go through to where shellmon is, go across al of those bridge type things, go down the lift leading to orge forest, exit the place, go to great canyon, go back to freeze land and back to shellmon, what ever you do don't g back up through the lift
