At the 'Main' menu select 'Story Mode' (first option) and then 'Records'. When you are in the 'Records' menu hold down 'Start' and enter Left, Right, Circle, Square. If the code has been entered correctly there will be an explosion noise as confirmation. When this code has been entered, Rumble (but not analog control) will be enabled.
When you beat Story mode with the initial four characters on the Normal difficulty setting with any life stock this feature will become enabled.
