FR Challenge: 1988 Nissan S13 Silvia Q, custom blue paint job, nice custom rims, Custom black headlights\Grille,
4WD Challenge: Mitsubishi Lancer EVO IV, custom blue paint job, custom yellow rims
Lightweight Challenge: Honda EK Civic Type R, Custom blue paint job, custom black rims\bonnet.

Go to simulation and buy a used mitsubushi 1992 gto twinturbo and put all the goodies on it for a super hot car the car has 928HP!!!!!!!!

Plain but bad car

First you will need a used or new nissan skyline with 276hp.

Now youv got the skyline by na tuneup stage 4 then do the rest of the upgrades you should come to over 900hp.

It is not about the fastest car on this game. It is how you drive them. For me the fastest car in the game is the Mitsubishi 3000GT.

The cheat submited by Gabe, the second one on the page is slightly
flawed. The car will go much faster than that, he just has not played with
the gear settings and downforce enough. Also, if its a super fast car that
needs to be listed (not really a cheat), the Supra RZ will do over 270mph on
th Test Track in the Mega Speed cup after drafting off of another car. If
anything THIS should be listed on the page.
Let me say that again. It is possible to draft off of other cars (like
in NASCAR Racing) to make cars go faster. This trick can be used on any
track as long as you are close enough to the car in front of you to catch
the draft. The downside: ALL cars can do this too, including the computer
controlled ones, so try to keep your rear empty. Works well when trying for
top speed runs on the Test Track in the Mega Speed cup.

<P>The best handling car in Gran Turismo has to be the Mitsubishi GTO LM
edition. Once this car has the downforce and all the gears set up properly,
you can slide it round the corner at high speed and it corrects itself with

A tip to not slide alot is when you turn corners instead of holding the brake you can just tap the brake. I tap the brake instead because it gives you better grip on corners. Espcially when you have fast cars like the Pikes Peak and the Lister Storm.

Well, alot of people think that the GTO is the fastest car, and I don't blame them it's freakin fast, but the Supra R2 is faster.

It has a little less HP than the GTO, but its two wheel drive and a bit lighter.

At the mega speed race at the test coures one, in the GTO I reached 273 MPH, in the Supra R2 I reached 292 MPH.

Just in every thing else the Supra sucks, turning, handling, accelleration, grip, you name it but its still fast.

When you are going into a turn you can

press square and hold it until you get to the begining of the turn then you can excellarate into the turn and tap circle gently.

I do agree that the nissan skyline is very good but the fastest cars in gran turismo 1 are the TOYOTA SUPRA RZ and the DODGE VIPER GTS-R (the one with the blue stripes and a white body color)

the supra rz is a bit faster though.

The top speed i got out of the supra was 431 kph and in the viper 428 kph.

in the supra set the 6th gear ratio to very tall or min (but dont make it too tall or not the maximum tallest.)

Then go to machine test and do max speed and try that.

With the viper gtsr go to mega speed race on the second race of it which is the test course skip qualify then start race (you will be 6th) and then you will kick ass!

In response to the idea that the R32 GT-R is the fastest under £10k, I would like to say that I clocked 257km/h in this car and only 253km/h in the Skyline

buy a Viper GTS and go to normal car race and enter you car will go 440hp while the others go 240 something it will 5 long laps but its worth it and its 5 races but every time you win a race its 50 bucks.

OK, Just to see how fast I could make my cars I've been playing with the 400m trial. the fastest I've managed so far is 8.604 in my GTO twinturbo.

By far the fastest car w/ the best handeling is the 92' GTO Twin turbo with every posible upgrade.

Use soft racing tires ( front an back) and medium stablizers on front and back .
