Unlock Cheat Mode
Begin a game and defeat the 1st Boss, then go to the Trader's home and sell as many items as possible before pausing gameplay and pressing Up, Down, Left, Right, Select. To resume the game with more swords and FMV sequences unlocked press 'Start'.
