To avoid getting shot on the first level start running down the road and you wil see asoldier walking along stab it to get it's gun(make sure it doesn't see you because if he does he starts shooting you if you leave it to long he will be on the lookout for you)after you got the gun go and destroy the boxes and another gun and grenades are there.
