[1]. Version Info                                                     [VERSION]
===============================================================================

******** Version 0.0 ********
-> 10 January 2007 - Started the FAQ. Only few can be seen here because I
was only placing everything randomly and writing skeleton FAQ atm.

******** Version 1.0 ********
-> 17 January 2007 - Completed the FAQ. Most of the sections (99.9%) were
completed. But I'll add some more information (and make corrections also :P)
in few days, just wait. I've planned to make everything in order as soon as
possible. FAQ Size: 196 Kb.

******** Version 1.01 ********
-> 19 February 2007 - Repaired those nasty Undead Army and claimed Frozen
Throne as mine... naaa... joking :) heheh. Fixed lotta mistakes at the latest
release and here's the latest document.....I'm now currently fixing few more
aligning and justifying stuffs... Hopefully the next release can cover those
troubles/ problems. Here's a brief summary about those fixes:

    - Fixed wrong 'Index' title.
    - Fixed mispelled words and grammar (tons of 'em!).
    - Fixed the release date.
    - Fixed the statistics since new version comes up.
    - Fixed an info on Priestess of the Moon's Threats and Preys section.
    - Fixed those annoying trailing spaces.........
    - Completed few incomplete 'Compatibility' sections.
    - Added new parts to 'Introduction'.
    - Added new questions and answers on 'FAQ' section.
    - Added few new credits to those who have contributed to this FAQ by either
      reporting typos and errors.
    - New Instant Messenger rule, be sure to read it.
    - Adjusted the 80-characters long per line so they fit and seen better.
    - Bunch of small fixes......

Whoa, did I say 'brief summary'? Looks like I was wrong xD, blame my
fingers because they keep doing mistakes over and over again. Just don't
go stalking me please. Oh, and this FAQ now is over 200KB long and will
be larger in the next release, trust me :P for I'm this FAQ creator.

Well, quite a big update so it takes rather a long time for this release,
because I don't want to release something which isn't arranged properly :).
Thank you for your patience and contributions. I really hope you enjoy
reading this release AND this release is for you, my readers! ^-^ I know
this release was longer than expected because I have to fix a large
amount of mistakes. However, I (still) can't fix some of minor mistakes
because this goddamn FAQ is huge, if you find one, please let me know.
And.... consider this release as a Chinese New Year gift from me.

NOTE for this release: Currently the newest patch is no longer 1.20e but
I'm still using it until the stable version comes up (1.21 doesn't seem
too stable for me..), usually it takes few months until the patch
life cycle becomes stable again and until that, please wait. FAQ Size: 216 Kb.

******** Version 1.02 ********
->  21 May   2007 - 1.21, 1.21, 1.21, 1.21..... Yea I downloaded this patch and
so I need to update this FAQ. Well so what do you think I would do? Of course,
open Outlook, download the messages from my mailbox while listen to music......
Bah!

Several readers, especially Lee, have generous enough by sending very valuable
contributions to me. You can see lots of additions for this FAQ on this
version, all of them couldn't be achieved when I'm working alone. So, thanks
alot. Lee also mentioned about Panda on his email which makes me interested on
writing Panda FAQ, seeing Dark Ranger also has her own FAQ at GF. :) Let's see
whether I DO have time to do that.....or not. Keep in mind that this FAQ has
been heavily tampered because of those contributions and I might have created,
unknowingly, new mistakes. Be sure to read the 'FAQ' section, especially
Question 19. I've added quite an additions there to answer some questions and
surely they need to be heavily fixed, however, I've tried my best to write my
knowledge down for this area.

Several another readers even sent me an emails written with foreign languages
that I didn't even know which continents they were come from..... NEXT TIME,
read the rules, folks. I'm not that GENIUS!!!!! Here's a brief summary about
those fixes (again... Why am I so retard?):

    - Added FAQ Completion Progress Chart.
    - Fixed very stupid mistake at Demon Hunter vs Dreadlord.
    - Fixed the statistics (since new version comes up).
    - Several few fixes on Warden's section.
    - Fixes and addititions on KotG's skills comments.
    - Removed that bloody annoying 'Mana Potions' typo on PotM's section.
    - Updates for Glossary section.
    - Updates for 'Useful Items' on every heroes section.
    - Reworked Vs. heroes section quite a lot. :P
    - Bunch of small fixes...... heheheh.

[2]. Introduction                                                       [INTRO]
===============================================================================

Well, five years ago, I was looking for a good strategy (online) game to be
played. I asked my fiance ,he was my boyfriend back at 2002, and he suggested
me to play Warcraft 3. 'What the hell is Warcraft?' was my first question and
shortly after that, he picked his Warcraft 3 Reign of Chaos CD and showed it to
me. I thought I might as well give it a try so I 'borrowed' his CD and
installed it to my PC. After few hours playing, I found out that this game was
so different than any other games (real-time strategy) I ever played. Hehe, so
I decided to keep my attention to Warcraft for a while and has been bugging my
time since then. Few months after that, The Frozen Throne was released and I
immediately stole my fiance's CD right after he bought the game -_-; sorry
chinyan.....and I had those two CDs on my possesion until he bought Battlechest
year ago and gave it as my birthday gift. I was so happy and returned his two
old CDs back ^^;;

Since the first time I played this game, Night Elf has always been my favourite
for they're simple, fast and efficient. Not to mention they're also ruthless
and gearless lol. I played Warden as soon as I got Frozen Throne and loved her
way of fighting at the first sight. I took a look at GameFAQs FAQs & Guide
Section to check out whether I could find a decent FAQ regarding Night Elf
Heroes and couldn't find any... Heh, what a mess. I found TWO Night Elf FAQs
but they do no cover 'Heroes' section completely and I guess they only cover
Night Elf generally, ah well.. So I attempted Night Elf Heroes FAQ and
seemingly it's been proven successful based on how many emails I got since its
first release at GameFAQs. Hohohoho, now enough chitchating, I'll end up
banned....errr no I mean, I'll end up boring you if I keep doing so ^^;; Just
to let you know, if I were asked how proficient I am when using NE, I'd give
myself 6.5. Don't ask my scores for another races because I'd only give them
around 2-3 :P as I'm not experienced enough.

This is the biggest in-depth FAQ I have ever written, so you might see lots
of mistakes despite the fact that they weren't intentionally made :) Although I
intensively play this game, with NE of course, every day, I still feel I am not
the 'master' of NE, so critics as well as suggestions are welcome, don't argue
with my personal opinion please, it's not yours, it's mine. It's just from a
view of one person , and just give your thanks to this FAQ author because you
read her FAQ which probably help you out of your misery.... :P For the FAQ
organization, I'll split the FAQ into FIVE main parts to exert its usefulness,
the first four will cover each Night Elf's heroes and the last will serve as an
addition. Personally I'll _never_ add a new portion except a new strategy or
update for the first four parts, but for the last part there will be always
new portion as the game evolves via patch updates.

As a side note, I adapted new style for this FAQ per 1.02 version which makes
me easier to manage contributions by placing them directly on my FAQ with a
note saying that this is contributed by another people, that's if you send
me suggestions/ additions not error corrections for grammar :). Hope this will
not cause trouble on my FAQ's organizations. This done because I don't know how
the hell I should merge those emails to this FAQ, without ruining my own
work. Basically, if you send me a correction regarding grammar and/or typo, I'd
place you on my 'Thanks' list only BUT if you do send me bunch of suggestions
or additions like one of my readers ;) , I'd place them accordingly on their
correct position on this FAQ.

See 'About' section for further details. Oh, I do not cover the single-player
guide here, there are more FAQS floating around on GameFAQs, which discuss it
thoroughly! Also, I'll update this guide OFTEN, as soon as I collect enough new
info about Night Elf heroes. In this FAQ I also have passed some information
....erh... no complete information about encountering ANOTHER hero than you're
currently using so it might be your interest right now. I also included
specific strategies for each NE heroes in each maps but it's still not yet
perfect. For the complete NE buildings & units explanations please see another
FAQs and please aware that this FAQ is originally intended to be used in
conjunction with PC version, but MAC version has no difference so you may use
it as well.

For this FAQ I won't use fancy ASCII art throughout the FAQ because I find it's
annoying and I'll try to keep this FAQ spoiler-free. For more information about
abbreviations please check 'Glossary' section first and one last note, if you
see the ASCII title is gibberish, use metapad instead notepad. I don't know
why is it thus, perhaps it's an friggin' bug of notepad? :P

NOTE:
- There'll be NO Final Version, as I'll constantly adding many info, tweaking
  my FAQs, and updating if necessary!
- SEND your contributions via email ONLY. See 'About' for detailed information,
  if you send contributions I'll give you a proper credit, as usual.

These below are important checklists and must be read and prepared before you
read this FAQ:

- This is _NOT_ walkthrough, and I don't have time to tell you how to play or
  install this game. Please take a look at GameFAQs' FAQs & Guides section to
  get a walkthrough, for there are couples of nice walkthroughs that have been
  posted, use them as your reference first. interestingly, there are also few
  in-depth facts regarding Night Elf but since they cover only Night Elf in
  general, I decided to add another Night Elf FAQ that handles heroes area
  only. You could, however, use this FAQ in conjunction with them. All of those
  FAQs can be found at www.gamefaqs.com.

- YOU must play this game before, LOOK at this FAQ....it does not provide basic
  stuff and silly introduction. DON'T expect me to guide you personally.....no
  spoonfeeding here :P So at least you are able to perform basic control
   casting spells, moving your units etc, and have some knowledge of this
  game's terminology, but for your convenience I've provided 'Glossary'section.

- I divided this FAQ into several sections for your convenience, the first part
  is obviously about NE heroes and their strats/ tactics. Second part is about
  Compatibility Charts, which may be proven useful at some situations
  especially when you haven't even play as NE race. And the last is the
  Frequently Asked Question, which I placed far behind. You can navigate the
  FAQ easily with QuickFind system.

- You must have 1.21 patch installed in your game. Fail to do so will result
  in incompatible information from this FAQ and your game due to balance fixes.
  As far as I know the latest patch which fixes the balance issue is 1.19b, but
  applying 1.21 patch won't hurt you. Just download it via auto-patch feature
  in game or manually download it from http://ftp.blizzard.com.

- For specific map strategies, I'm using original and default maps which are
  packed together in the Warcraft III patch and I NEVER alter or edit those
  maps. So the info and strats here are based from original and unaltered maps,
  if you happen to edit them ,either via Blizzard's WE or WE Unlimited, then
  the info or strats here are no longer valid for you. In short: NEVER edit
  those default maps unless you need that badly. Always make a backup copy of
  your original maps!

- Putting AMAI in a map is also considered as an editing process. What is AMAI?
  AMAI stands for Advanced Melee AI, it's main purpose is to make Warcraft AI
  stronger for training sake (in fact, the AI becomes MUCH stronger). You can
  find further information for AMAI at www.wc3campaigns.com. AMAI is created
  and maintained with Perl so you might need Perl also from http://www.perl.com
  (AMAI source is available as GPL). NOTE: You may need JASS -Java Asserted
  Syntax- and Perl programming language skill to understand them. I do not
  provide technical information for JASS and Perl although I do understand
  several parts from JASS and Perl , however you can get help for JASS at
  http://jass.sourceforge.com. BUT, installing AMAI still gives these
  strategies valid, just a bit more effort and energy needed to beat them. :P
  I admit I had a nightmare some time ago when fighting against AMAI...........

  Thank you and have a fun read. I'll start the FAQ and leave everything on
  your good hands, for I entrusted you with those Night Elf heroes' fate.......
  Beat the drum please!

===============================================================================

---------------------
[6a]. Warden's Basics
---------------------

Warden possesses many unique abilities and also different play style. I fell in
love to Warden at the first sight :P Yeah, it's true that she also has
bad...no...it's terrible weaknesses but I care them not. Warden FTW! She has
the ability to deal with mass melee or mass air, as well as to hunt down single
unit. Her ultimate is also good to boost your forces firepower and very easy to
use. In fact, she's adept at dealing most of tactics due to her skills. So you
shouldn't despise her, or you shall suffer!

Well, first let me explain the Warden's basic stuff ^_^

[6b]. Warden's Skills analysis + Skills Build
---------------------------------------------

Skills Analysis
---------------

Fan of Knives
-------------

Advantages and disadvantages:

+ Very good spell for tier-1 units. It hurts badly for low life units, ex:
Archer, Footman etc. At level 3, Fan of Knives is deadly for both light land
units and air units. Has relatively quick cooldown, bring mana potions to pull
this spell to its full potential.

+ AOE (Area of Effect) spell! You can hit multiple units.

+ There's no need to target your enemy, you can simply cast the spell and
forget it. :D

- Bad spell choice to catch those pesky runaway units, too costly (in terms of
mana) and does not slow your foes.

Usages:
-------

- You may use FoK in conjunction with Breath of Fire and Drunken Haze
(Pandaren), Warden and Panda are good combination against mass low hit points
unit, ex: Mass Gargoyles or Mass Bats. Be sure you also check 'Compatibility'
section below.

- Nukes. Warden carries with her the almighty Shadow Strike. Nuking an enemy
hero (ex: Archmage) will be easy, just cast them both at single target.

- Cast this spell after you use Blink to enter the battlefield.

Blink
-----

Advantages and Disadvantages:

+ Cheap mana cost especially on lv 3 blink. So it's abusable.

+ Very fast cooldown for lv 3 blink.

+ No cast range.

- If this spell is not mastered, it's rather useless. Warden relies heavily
on lv 3 Blink, so 'Master it!' or completely 'Forget it!'

- Does not have any effect against enemy units

Usages:
-------

- Use this spell to catch those runaway units, best matches with Shadow Strike.

- If you have lv 3 Blink, you can beat down several enemy units by chasing them
using this spell and cast FoK/ SS, later you can escape easily too.

- You can also use this to escape from combat, especially when Warden is
severely damaged. This also causes your opponents' units who focus fire on
Warden to be distracted and retarget another units.

- Backdoor! Since most common build position for Human, Undead, and Orc is to
protect their villagers by surrounding their mines, you can bypass the
obstacles by using this spell, attack, kill and escape.

Shadow Strike
-------------

Advantages and Disadvantages:

+ Low mana cost when compared to FoK and Vengeance. This is her best spell to
deal with runaway units and heroes.

+ Has decent poison damage and duration. Makes this your initial skill in
common situation.

+ High damage at level 3. You can strike tier-1 unit with this spell and see
him/her health point down pretty quickly.

- Not AOE spell, and need target unlike FoK.

- Limited cast range. I mean pretty short cast range in fact.

Usages:
-------

- Cast this at heroes. Mainly intelligence type heroes, and their life
diminishing rapidly due to poison.

- Cast at runaway unit, while after that Warden should hit the targeted unit
constantly to ensure he/she dies.

- This spell best used as a finishing move. If you see red-health bar unit,
cast this at him/her and most certainly he/she will die.

Vengeance
---------

Advantages and Disadvantages:

+ Can summon another units, invulnerable ones from corpses! Also they (Spirits)
do decent damage as well. The spirits can be used for scouting too.

+ Immune to magic.

+ Can be used as a decoy.

- Dispellable.

- High mana cost.

- Slow cooldown.

Usages:
-------

- Please just cast this spell in BATTLE only. it's useless when cast outside
battle.

Skills Build
------------

There are several options building your Warden's skills. You must choose the
right one in each battle depending on your enemy' starting hero or race. Fail
to do so will get you bad result. Usually Warden can deal with ALL heroes type
and form ANY race except..... Demon Hunter. Please, do not and NEVER use Warden
against Demon Hunter!

1. Shadow Strike, Fan of Knives (Extreme nuke)
   This is the skill builds' order:
   - lv1 -> SS
   - lv2 -> FoK
   - lv3 -> SS
   - lv4 -> FoK
   - lv5 -> SS
   - lv6 -> Avatar
   - lv7 -> FoK
   - lv8 -> Blink
   - lv9 -> Blink
   - lv10-> Blink
   Description: SS should be mastered first. You then can deal with FoK, this
   will allow you to hunt down enemy hero and low level units.

2. Shadow Strike, Blink (Hero hunter)
   - lv1 -> SS
   - lv2 -> Blink
   - lv3 -> SS
   - lv4 -> Blink
   - lv5 -> SS
   - lv6 -> Blink
   - lv7 -> Avatar
   - lv8 -> FoK
   - lv9 -> FoK
   - lv10-> FoK
   Description: SS holds the most important point here. Blink comes in second,
   you can take down several enemy units all by using single Warden. :D

3. Fan of Knives, Blink (AoE abuse)
   - lv1 -> FoK
   - lv2 -> Blink
   - lv3 -> FoK
   - lv4 -> Blink
   - lv5 -> FoK
   - lv6 -> Blink
   - lv7 -> Vengeance
   - lv8 -> SS
   - lv9 -> SS
   - lv10-> SS
   Description: Not as powerful as the two builds above, but can be spammed to
   kill one or two weak units (Sorceress or Ghouls). This build should be used
   mainly in battle.

You should choose Avatar at lv 6 / 7

Conclusion:
----------

Her skills are pretty good, many combinations can be used to find different
play style. But still that would requires practice and patience for you to
master this hero. Most of her skills require correct time and event to launch,
failing to do so will result in ineffective and useless Warden.

+========+====================================================================+

Enough for tables and such thing, I'll explain the analysis now xD

Analysis:
---------

- (Str gain) 39-18= 21. 21 points are so gooood, especially because Warden's
base strength is horrible. But this 21 points alone is not enough to help her
survive. You'll also need potions (either invis pot, invul pot or health
potions).

- (Agi gain) 35-20= 15. 15 points are bad. Simply because Warden is an agility
type hero. Because of this. she is not able to deal decent damage. Agility
also affects her armor, 9 armor for melee fighter is bad, you'll need another
ways to keep her alive.

- (Int gain) 33-15= 18. 18 points are good enough, especially because she
relies heavily on her spells. But for some reasons, you'll still need mana-
related items to help her. Fan of Knives and Shadow Strike are too costly for
her to be cast repeatedly. But usually, after you hit lv 6 or above, you won't
need mana-items that badly.

- (Health) As you can see, she has barely 1075 health points at level 10, very
different when compared to Demon Hunter or Blademaster. Demon Hunter has
Metamorphosis spell that allows him to gains another 500 hit points while
Warden doesn't have such skill. Low hitpoints is very prone to nukes, I'll deal
with nukes later, this part is just for information.

- (Mana) She has quite adequate amount of Mana. But it won't hurt to improve
this part by using potions or +stat point items.

- (Damage) Now as a melee fighter, she does not have decent attack power. Yep,
her attack speed is decent (2.05) with a pretty nice addition every level she
gains. But it does not worth it, since we mainly are focused at hero's attack
power. I can say, she is the weakest agility hero in terms of attack power.
Even Priestess of the Moon can deals much....much damage by her Searing Arrows.
So if you happen to find claw of attacks, don't sell them!!

- (Armor) ....no female heroes have high armor like her. But still, her armor
aren't enough to keep her alive in deadly combat. Avoid direct hits, nukes and
crippling spells. No item can be used to improve this stat (rings aren't that
good....sadly).

Conclusion:
----------

Her stats gain is pretty decent, but her base stats are horrible.....so you
should bring one or two equipments for her. Granted, if you get her high level
and proper equipment, you can always get upper hand.

--------------------------
[6d]. Warden's Weak points
--------------------------

Here I have listed many Warden's weaknesses, please pay a heed or your Warden
will suffer... for 'she kills fast and killed fast', lol.

- She must not nuked. Do so will crush your Warden. Examples of 'nukes':
        *) Undead's Tri-Nuke: Frost Nova, Death Coil and Impale
           Description : The best nuke in The Frozen Throne universe. Just
                              don't let her accept direct hit from those
                              spells. Usually this can be solved by Anti-Magic
                              Potion or Invulnerable pots.
        *) MK + Blood Mage : War Stomp and Storm Bolt + Banish
           Description : Avoid these spells! Just don't come near MK and
                              you should be fine. Do not use Invul pot, as long
                              as you keep your distance, it will be fine since
                              MK is so slow and have low mana points. Just
                              watch out for Banish which improves the damage
                              from spell attacks alot!
        *) Orc's Nuke (1)   : Chain Lightning and Shockwave
           Description : If you take these two spells directly, guaranteed
                              that your Warden will have her life points
                              reduced considerably. Use invis pot or Anti Magic
                              Potion will prevent this.
        *) Panda+Naga Sea : Drunken Haze + Breath of Fire and Fork Lightning
           Description : Panda at high level is a pain. His Drunken Haze
                              can weaken your Warden, also with his Breath of
                              Fire enabled you can take free damage quickly.
                              Oh, dished with Fork Lightning after that isn't
                              fun thing to do. So better use Invulnerable
                              potion if you happen to meet this combo.

- She must not be focus-fired. Low H P and Armor make her very vulnerable to
  this attack type.

- Don't let her being caught by Net or Roots. This will lead to Focus Fire
  attack type and ultimately to nukes.

- Avoid Curse spell (Banshee), that will weaken her severely. Use Dryad'
  Abolish Magic to dispel the effect.

- Silence might as well watched out. If you want to Blink and at the same time
  you get silenced, you're doomed.

- Demon Hunter! His Mana Burn is annoying, besides he is much much stronger
  than Warden (physically). There is no way you can beat this guy with Warden.
  If you see your opponent is using/training DH, switch your hero immediately!

- Any hero with 'summon' skill (ex: Beastmaster or Far Seer) can destroys low-
  level Warden, even if you are able to kill the hero, your Warden would be
  severely damaged.

----------------------------
[6e]. Warden's Strong points
----------------------------

She does not have weaknesses only, of course. She also has some decent
advantages over another heroes, be not disheartened, folks!

+ Shadowmeld! You can place an ambush using this skill. Of course it will
require patience and skill. But worth to try.

+ Fast movement speed, small size. That enable her to move and hide with ease.

+ Strong harasser type. You can kill most of your opponent workers by Fan of
Knives only, or if you're rather paranoid you can use Shadow Strike to finish
them off. Also with her Blink spell enabled, you can easily walk in and walk
out from your opponent base as long as you don't get hit by the Arcane Tower
which will deplete your mana pool.

+ There is no channeling spell for this lady! You can still smack your opponent
with her ultimate unlike Priestess of the Moon or Far Seer with their
ultimates.

+ Vengeance is a decent unit (Ultimate), coupled with her little Avatars you
can support your army greatly.

+ Her skills can be used for nukes. FoK + SS are deadly at high levels. Most
tier-1 units are no match for this combo, this also guaranteed work at
intelligence and agility heroes.

+ Very fun to play with! Demon Hunter is a boring hero, so as Archmage and
Death Knight. She has 4 (four) active spells, no aura is included, to play and
find your own style.

+ Blink is the most efficient spell ever exist. It can be used both for
attacking and defensive position thus your opponent can never guess your
tactics. This, and also movement speed , what makes her the most agile and
fastest hero in Warcraft 3.

--------------------
[6f]. Warden's Items
--------------------

Hero should carry items to help him/her survive in combats. Most hero will need
same items and so Warden. But there are several good items for Warden, let's
take a look one by one.

Consumables:
-----------

- Scroll of Town Portal
  Undoubtedly the most useful item in this game. You can transport back to your
  main town simply by double clicking the scroll's portrait. This item saves my
  army many times for a cheap 350 gold.

- Clarity Potion
  This cheap item have helped me much in the past, regains 100 mana unless hit
  by another units. Low level Warden will need this item constantly to help
  her spam FoK and SS/ Blink.

- Healing Potion
  Sold cheaply for 150 gold. Buy one of this item will improve your Warden's
  survivalability greatly.

- Greater Healing Potion
  (same as Healing Potion, except for the price and the amount of health xD )

- Moonstone
  Use this item (sold at NE shop) for 50 gold as often as possible. It will
  replenishes your Moonwell mana however, don't use this if your opponents are
  also NE's user.

- Mana Potion
  Unless you don't plan to use her spell (but I doubt it :D ), you'll most
  likely need this potion to keep her spamming her spells (good for Nukes and
  AoE Abuse skill builds)

- Invulnerable Potion
  This lil' item will keep you Warden stay healthy.....no stay alive I mean. 7
  seconds invulnerability is insane, you can then remove her from focus fire or
  step even further, at the same time abusing your spells xD Always have this
  item in your inventory.

- Scroll of Protection
  Useful in battles, sold at shop. +2 armor in AoE is virtually nice since you
  can improve your units armor temporarily and help your army turn the tide.

- Scroll of Healing
  Pretty damn nice for mass healing, especially when you run out of your
  moonwells' mana.

Equipments:
----------

- Staff of Preservation
  Most Night Elf players will bring this thingy, even just one. This staff can
  be your dear savior, especially to s ave hero and bears. Since Warden only
  need little micro (unlike Lich or Archmage, for example), you can concentrate
  your energy to preserve your units.

- Circlet of Nobility
  if you happen find some on your creeping time, don't sell them. Most players
  sell this item for measly gold, this is useless. +2 stats gain for ALL power
  is a nice addition for her.

- Gloves of Haste
  Very excellent item for her, you rely on her physical attack. + 15% attack
  speed will cause a havoc in your opponents armies. Bring also Orb of Venom.

- Boots of Speed
  Well, if you have enough gold, please buy this item. BoS + Blink will make
  your Warden the fastest creature ever exist. I managed to kill Blademaster
  with lv 3 Windwalk with this item BUT +Blink and SS, of course >_>.

- Helm of Cunning and Helm of Valor
  Don't sell these items if you happen to meet one. +4 stats improvements are
  good.

- Runed Bracers
  This cheap little proggie is able to reduce the spell attacks. Have it at
  your inventory if possible.

- Pendant of Mana or Pendant of Energy
  Mana enchancements are so godly is you're a big fan of Warden's spells
  exploitations. :)

- Staff of Silence
  You might want to keep this to silence those spellcasters and heroes' spells
  temporarily.

- Talisman of Evasion
  Unlike DH who doesn't need this item, having one at your inventory could be
  proven very valuable if you want your Warden to fight in front line as long
  as possible. But this item is rather rare, more's the pity.

- Any Aura-related equips
  ex: The Lion Horn of Stormwind, Scourge Bone Chimes, Legion Doom-Horn,
  Khadgar's Pipe of Insight, Ancient Janggo of Endurance, Alleria's Flute of
  Accuracy.

- Claw of Attacks.
  Don't sell these items if you happen to meet one. Attack power improvements
  are really needed.

- Any Orb
  Particularly useful to hit that air unit. Remember, she's melee not range
  hero, but luckily she has some anti-air spells (FoK and SS).

--------------------------------
[6g]. Warden's Threats and Preys
--------------------------------

This section will cover another heroes, mostly used to see another strength and
weaknesses. The largest section in this FAQ, I believe xD

Bad against:
------------

- Demon Hunter
  His main skill is Mana Burn and Evasion, which are annoying since Warden
  relies heavily on her spells. At lv 3 Mana Burn will take most of your mana
  away (150 points). He also has insane Evasion, which allows him to avoid
  Warden's physical attacks. While his ultimate can crush his opponents to
  mincemeat, true....Metamorphosis is unbeatable. Well folks, at lv 10 he can
  beat down Blademaster, also at lv 10 of course :P like no tomorrow, so how
  can you expect anymore from Warden? Here's my wise advice: Don't place
  Warden against DH, that and that alone.....

  Contributed by jack:
  " Warden should be able to beat Demon Hunter if the Demon Hunter goes for the
  immolation/evasion build. Mana Burn-ing her to remove spell like Blink is
  only effective at level 3."
  Difficulty: 10/10

- Death Knight (Undead)
  Coil, coil and coil. Most likely he will harass your creeping time and trying
  to steal your exp this and there. Fight and repel him first, even with lv 1
  SS before you think another moves. Undead at first tier does not have healing
  method except Blight regeneration and DK's Coil, but Coil cannot be used on
  self. Also he has Aura and Death Pact, his Unholy Aura makes his regeneration
  faster so even you smack him severely with your SS, prepare to be attacked on
  a minute. Death Pact usually can be tossed aside and is not counted, but if
  DK uses this spell, you Warden will have tough time beating this guy. Luckily
  his ultimate is not that useful, you can simply runaway and let his
  ultimate effect subsides. But truly worthy for him to become Undead's first
  hero.
  Difficulty: 9/10

- Pandaren (Neutral)
  There are two disadvantages for Warden when fighting against Pandaren. First,
  her life points is so small, making her vulnerable to deadly Drunken Haze+
  Breath of Fire combo. Second, Panda's physical strength is incredible so he
  could easily survive Warden's attacks. When fighting against him, be sure not
  to be outmaneuvered by his spells and forced back to retreat since he is able
  to massacre your forces from behind. His ultimate is even worse, Storm Earth
  and Fire is very difficult to be countered, best to run while he's using this
  spell. You might try to harass him while he's creeping so as to remove his
  valuable exp. Panda at lv 1 isn't deadly but Panda at lv 3 with his mighty
  combo is a force to be reckoned with, remember that. Try to kill his forces
  first either by using FoK or SS. Or if you *gasp* persistent enough you could
  try to SS and focus fire him.
  Difficulty: 10/10

Prolly against:
---------------

Any strength hero is a decent foe for Warden (and also some agility heroes).

- Tauren Chieftain (Orc)
  Tankers..... Even if you nuke him with Warden's spells, he still stands firm
  for sure. His high HP allows him to survive FoK + SS nuke. Warden will need
  another units to help her kill this hero, some bears and dryads would
  suffice. Don't worry about his spells, Endurance Aura is nothing, Shockwave
  and War Stomp can be avoided easily if your timing with Blink or Anti Magic
  Potion is perfect. Also because most of Tauren users will blast Shockwave to
  your units not to your Warden, from my experience . The most annoying parts
  are his high HP and Reincarnation, which allows him to revive with FULL HP
  and Mana.... But this hero isn't that hard when compared to DH...
  Difficulty: 7.5/10

- Blademaster (Orc)
  First of all, handle and beat his Windwalk first. He fits to be placed as
  first hero and for harassing (Wind Walk). As long as you buy Dust of
  Appearance at the beginning of the game, you should be fine. Don't let him
  kills your wisps and avoid direct battle with him (one by one, because he has
  Critical Strike) until you gain enough level to cast high quality Shadow
  Strike or Fan of Knives. His ultimate does not counted....easily avoided.
  Difficulty: 8/10

- Dreadlord (Undead)
  If your opponent is using this hero for his first, then be prepared to learn
  Blink quickly. Most likely he will use Sleep and surround your Warden, Blink
  will counter this move. But mostly this hero is used for Tankers (he's
  strength type hero) and of course because of his Vampiric Aura which is nice
  for Mass Ghouls and Mass Gargoyles tactics.
  Difficulty: 6.5/10

- Lich (Undead)
  I put Lich here because of his exceptional Frost Nova and Dark Ritual. He may
  easily spamming Nova due to his mana recovery and supported by Ritual. These
  two spells are deadly combination, and even more deadly if he has Death Coil
  for DK. Be prepared to put some countermeasure, ex: Anti Magic Potion is used
  as soon as you enter the battle with Lich inside. Be wary however, if he uses
  Frost Armor, you shouldn't strike him hand-to hand since your attack speed is
  badly reduced, better to strike his units first, but you can still cast SS
  and FoK near him, he's an intelligence hero and does not have high HP. His
  ultimate is useless against Warden, good for building only.
  Difficulty: 7/10

- Crypt Lord (Undead)
  I hate his impale. Even the effects usually wear off in a second, but since
  his spell is used only to hold Warden temporarily (part of the Undead's Tri
  Nuke) I find it difficult to avoid this spell without item support. So avoid
  direct hit from his attacks and spells. The rest of his spells do not help
  him survive against Warden's attacks, cast few SS on him to weaken his HP.
  Difficulty: 6.5/10

- Archmage
  Only his Water Elemental that counts, the rest of his spells are useless
  against Warden. Repeatedly cast SS on him, he'll vanish after 3 or four
  physical strikes afterwards.
  Difficulty: 6.5/10

- Paladin
  He has Divine Shield and Devotion Aura, also with decent HP. Beat him before
  he reaches high level hero, since you will find only trouble due to his
  shield and ultimate (Resurrection).
  Difficulty: 7/10

- Mountain King
  His almighty Storm Bolt and War Stomp are serious attacks for Warden. Use
  Anti Magic potion to keep his spells at bay, let him waste his mana at your
  units NOT your Warden. His high HP is also quite difficult to beat, I believe
  he's equal to Tauren Chieftain.
  Difficulty: 7.5/10

- Pit Lord
  Mmmmmmmmm, it won't take a long time to beat this hero, just patience needed
  because like another str heroes, he has high HP. Rain of Fire is easy to
  avoid, the problems are his ultimate, Doom, and Howl of Terror which more
  than enough to beat all your tactics so be careful not to let him alive in
  battle as long as possible. Try to focus fire him, coupled with your spells.
  Difficulty: 7/10

- Dark Ranger
  Ah, her minions are trouble especially if she have huge numbers of them, stay
  out till her skellys are down. Silence and Health Drain are not serious, SS
  her to kill her easily. Just be sure not to get silenced when you're trying
  to run away with your Blink or that could lead to serious surround tactic.
  Difficulty: 7/10

- Firelord
  Firelord is usually used as second hero and thus placed as low-level hero. No
  real threat from his spells, except Lava Spawn (Summon spell, not hard but
  annoying). His Lava Burn and Incinerate do not considered as a threat for me,
  as well as his ultimate except the fact that his ulti is so damn cool looking
  . Blow him with SS should suffice, coupled with Dryads to remove his minions.
  Difficulty: 7/10

- Beastmaster
  Dryad is a must! You can do nothing against him if you don't bring Dryads.
  Abolish his summons and engage him immediately. You may find tough battle
  with him, but he doesn't have killer spell for causing a havoc at your army.
  JUST watch out his Summons.
  Difficulty: 7.5/10

Good against:
-------------

- Far Seer (Orc)
  Don't engage his wolves, instead use wisp to kill them (detonate) while you
  focus your attention to Far Seer. Most Orc player will use Far Seer as first
  hero because of his superior creeping skills due to wolves . SS works best
  for him since he does not possess tanker skills like Tauren Chieftain, use
  Blink to chase him if he runs away. But best to avoid his Chain Lightning,
  it hurts... But as I said, Intelligence heroes are no match for Warden... xD
  Difficulty: 6.5/10

- Shadow Hunter (Orc)
  His Healing Wave and Hex are the most annoying parts. He can heals his
  wounded units and Hex your Warden. While using Hex, decent orc players
  usually surround your Warden with Speed Scroll and forces you to Tp-ing, but
  this doesn't be considered as a big deal if you have Blink learned. He has
  slow movement and attacking speed, also low HP and useless ultimate. This
  what makes him an easy prey for Warden, two lv 3 SS and he's history.
  Difficulty: 5/10

- Priestess of the Moon
  Mounted archer....not worth mentioning. She doesn't have active spells thus
  rendering her useless against Warden. But careful about her Trueshot Aura,
  it's deadly in team game and ranged units. Fortunately she has very little
  HP, nuking her should be enough.
  Difficulty: 5.5/10

- Keeper of the Grove
  Watch out his Entangling Roots, while his Treants should be dealt with your
  troops not your Warden. Buy Health Potion when facing this hero, his Thorns
  Aura is hurt. But he usually is not used as first hero, especially in NE
  mirror, so you won't see him high-leveled enough to trouble your Warden.
  Difficulty: 5.5/10

- Blood Mage
  Okay, this is the most pathetic hero ever exist..... :P His Flame Pillars
  does decent damage, but slow animation and slow casting time makes it easily
  avoided. His Siphon Mana and Banish don't help him much, also he have rather
  low HP, so SS can kill this guy easily. Be careful though, if he does
  learn Banish and MK ready at his side, you can get nuked awfully hurt.
  Difficulty: 4/10

- Alchemist
  Healing Spray, Acid Bomb, Chemical Rage and Transmute....are not seen as
  powerful spells for me. But his primary attribute is str, that what makes him
  rather difficult to kill. SS and FoK work wonder for this guy. Watch
  for his Acid Bomb because it lowers your units' armor quite a bit. Be wary
  however, usually this hero is used as a support only not main hero, so if
  there's another heroes in battle deal with them first!
  Difficulty: 5/10

- Tinker
  His Pocket Factory is a decent spell so as his ultimate (Robo-Goblin). But
  he's an int hero, so low HP is his friend. take him down quickly before he
  gains a level.
  Difficulty: 5/10

- Naga Sea Witch
  This hero is awesome to become Warden's partner, but if you meet her as an
  opponent, blast her with FoK + SS. She will die pretty quickly. It's true
  that she possesses Mana Shield, but most WC3 players ignore this skill and
  get Cold Arrows and Fork Lightning, so you can safely nuke her without any
  real resistance (except items, of course xD )
  Difficulty: 5.5/10

[6h]. Warden's Maps Analysis
----------------------------

Here are the best map to use Warden as FIRST hero, please don't complain, my
opinion may differ from yours! (be warned, don't fight DH with your Warden...no
matter ANYWHERE ANYTIME!)

- Lost Temple
  Explanation: Good map for Night Elf. As long as you quickly creeping and make
  your Warden high level hero, you should be okay. Go creeping at your
  expansion first and gain a level. After that you can either harass your
  opponent or deal with mid camp (creep) that guards the fountain. The path is
  up to you. I prefer harassing your opponent on this map, because my Moonwells
  are able to provide additional mana and health. Don't forget teching! :D
  Skill Build possible:
  -> Extreme Nuke (best), AoE Abuse (2nd)

- Turtle Rock
  Explanation: if it's a close spawn, you'll be in trouble. but if it isn't,
  you can quickly creeping around and gain level 2 easily. From this state, you
  can either expand or harassing your enemy while teching.
  Skill Build possible:
  -> Hero hunter (best), AoE Abuse (2nd)

- Gnoll Wood
  Explanation: Best for creeping. Go level up your Warden quickly and expand.
  The most strategy is Bear + Dryad, they can help Warden considerable here.
  Skill Build possible:
  -> Hero hunter (best), Extreme Nuke (2nd)

- Twisted Meadows
  (same as Gnoll Wood)
  Skill Build possible:
  -> Hero hunter (best), Extreme Nuke (2nd)

- Avalanche
  Usually for team games. Just creeping your surroundings and expand at the
  center of your ally and your position, ask your ally to build his expo here
  (shouldn't be NE who b uild an expo, it's for Human or Orc). You can use
  Extreme Nuke build to pull every advantages of your Warden's spells (teamgame
  needs attack power and team works, not micro).
  Skill Build possible:
  -> Extreme Nuke (best), AoE abuse (2nd),

- Maps larger than 2 vs 2 maps.
  Explanation: Larger maps allow Warden to go creeping and gains enough level.
  High Leveled Warden will make her difficult to kill, especially with Lv 3
  Blink.

[7]. Demon Hunter                                                      [DEMON2]
===============================================================================

---------------------------
[7a]. Demon Hunter's Basics
---------------------------

Here's Night Elf Tanker. You can get all around hero if you do choose him as
your favourite. Possessing terrible spells like Evasion and Metamorphosis,
well aided with his Mana Burn and Immolation. A prime example for a good hero
all-round. I'm sure there are bunch of players that use him as their first hero
every day.

Well, first let me explain the Demon Hunter's basic stuff ^_^;; as usual.

Status:

This table shows the very basic stats of Demon Hunter.

+=============+===================+=====================+=====================+
|Metamorphosis| (AT LEVEL 6 ONLY OR HIGHER LEVEL) |
| | 150 mana cost, one cooldown each day |
+=============+===============================================================+

NOTE:
- Mana Burn's cast range is capped at 300, Mana cost is capped at 50 (Every
  level).
- Immolation's AOE is capped at 160. Damage dealt and mana drain are counted
  per second.
- Metamorphosis adds 500 HP and enhances regeneration rate temporarily.
- I do not list the Hotkeys because of that costumized hotkeys feature.

---------------------------------------------------
[7b]. Demon Hunter's Skills analysis + Skills Build
---------------------------------------------------

Skills Analysis
---------------

Mana Burn
---------

Advantages and disadvantages:

+ Very good spell for ANY heroes and spellcasters, as this spell at high level
will take most of their mana away.

+ Quick cooldown.

+ Low mana cost.

- Bad spell choice to catch that pesky runaway units, too short cast range and
does not slow your foes.

- Has limited usage against some units, ex: Archers (they don't have mana
anyway).

- This is not a finishing move spell.

Usages:
-------

- Use this against any units that have mana pool. Granted, their skills cannot
be used anymore as at lv 2 or 3 this spell does insane burn.

- As soon you encounter an enemy units, use this spell either to heroes or to
regular units. Basically this spell should be cast as soon as the cooldown is
completed. The basic rule is: ABUSE IT!

Immolation
----------

Advantages and Disadvantages:

+ High damage output (at Level 2 or higher).

+ Quite big AoE.

+ No cast range.

+ Cannot be stopped even with Stun Spells such as Storm Bolt, can only be
deactivated automatically when DH is running out of mana or silenced.

- If this spell is not mastered, it's rather useless, since every level
requires same mana cost.

- Demon Hunter needs to be in front row, hand-to-hand with enemy units, which
makes him more vulnerable to attacks.

- HIGH mana cost. And (this contributed by Lee) if your DH is disabled, ie:
sleep or stunned, the skill still eats your mana away like no tomorrow.

Usages:
-------

- This spell should be used when harassing only. Using this in battle will
  drain your mana rapidly, thus avoid Demon Hunter's another spell like Mana
  Burn. Aim for their workers (peons, acolytes, or ghouls) for the best result.

- If you insist using this spell in battle, make sure you have rapid finger
  because at some point, you'll need to turn off the autocast so as to prevent
  your DH in no mana condition. Better stick to the former usages, in fact.

Evasion
-------

Advantages and Disadvantages:

+ Passive skill, meaning that you don't need to click the spell in order to
  make it active.

+ Has decent evasion rate EVEN at level 1, thus allowing DH to survive longer.

+ Very compatible with DH's another spell. You can mix this skill with ease.

- Doesn't evade spell attacks.

- Is not able to dispel slowing attacks and/or Orb effect actions (e.g Undead's
Frost Wyrm cold breath or Orb of Lightning)

Usages:
-------

- Simple, learn it and forget it. :)

Metamorphosis
-------------

Advantages and Disadvantages:

+ Makes DH stronger many times. You can massacre most of enemy units (and
  heroes) only with this spell.

+ HP addition to DH temporarily as well as temporary health regeneration.

+ Makes DH attack style becomes ranged.

- Rather high mana cost.

- Slow cooldown which makes it boring to wait for this spell active again.

Usages:
-------

- Please just cast this spell in BATTLE only. it's useless when cast outside
battle. Just make sure your DH stays alive as long as possible as the chaos
attack is very damaging both to units, heroes and buildings.

Skills Build
------------

There are several options building your DH's skills. You must choose the
right one in each battle depending on your enemy's starting hero or race. Fail
to do so will get you bad result. In fact, DH can deal with ALL heroes type
and form ANY race!

1. Evasion, Immolation (Tanker)
   This is the skill builds' order:
   - lv1 -> Immolation
   - lv2 -> Evasion
   - lv3 -> Immolation
   - lv4 -> Evasion
   - lv5 -> Immolation
   - lv6 -> Metamorphosis
   - lv7 -> Evasion
   - lv8 -> MB
   - lv9 -> MB
   - lv10-> MB
   Description: Immolation should be mastered first. You then can deal with
   Evasion, this will allow you to harass the workers and enables you to
   encounter the enmy's a rmy with immolation turned on Works best against mass
   melee units.

2. Mana Burn, Evasion (Fighter)
   - lv1 -> MB
   - lv2 -> Evasion
   - lv3 -> MB
   - lv4 -> Evasion
   - lv5 -> MB
   - lv6 -> Metamorphosis
   - lv7 -> Evasion
   - lv8 -> Immolation
   - lv9 -> Immolation
   - lv10-> Immolation
   Description: MB holds the most important point here. Evasion comes in
   second. Mana Burn can be spammed without running a risk about low mana. This
   setup works best against Intelligence heroes and mass spellcasters.

3. Mana Burn, Immolation (Harasser)
   - lv1 -> MB
   - lv2 -> Immolation
   - lv3 -> Immolation
   - lv4 -> MB
   - lv5 -> MB
   - lv6 -> Metamorphosis
   - lv7 -> Immolation
   - lv8 -> Evasion
   - lv9 -> Evasion
   - lv10-> Evasion
   Description: Not as powerful as the two builds above, but still useful in
   several ocassions. based from what I've seen from replays, this build isn't
   that popular. You'd better stick with the former two.

You should choose Metamorphosis at lv 6 / 7. This spell is the most important!

Conclusion:
----------

His skills are good, many combinations can be used to find different play
sytle. You don't need super-duper-powerful micro to make this hero effective.
All you need is some patience and luck :P

+========+====================================================================+

Note: You can see, there's an addition about 500 points in his life points.
Also, THERE IS life regeneration bonus (unseen).

Time for Demon Hunter's analysis now xD

Analysis:
---------

- (Str gain) 40-18= 22. Very good base Str with nice additions each level. This
area is the reason why Demon Hunter is soooo powerful. You can further help him
to survive by carry some health and invul potions.

- (Agi gain) 35-22= 13. High base armor, high agi gain. Demon Hunter, perhaps,
two times stronger than Warden and three times stronger than Priestess of the
Moon. It's all because of his Agility. True, Warden can be equal in terms of
final agility and agility gain, but she lacks attack speed and damage
reduction, this what makes DH a slower killer but very effective.

- (Int gain) 34-16= 18. Very nice int for agi hero. This what makes your DH do
not run out of mana. Anyway, if you depend on his Immolation, you should bring
Mana Potions, but I doubt it >_>.

- (Health) He has 1100 health points at level 10 (1600 while metamorphing),
very different when compared to Warden or PotM or KotG. Demon Hunter has
Metamorphosis spell that allows him to gains another 500 hit points while
the rest don't have such skill. Low hitpoints is very prone to nukes, I'll deal
with nukes later, this part is just for information.

- (Mana) He has quite nice amount of Mana. No need to improve this area.

- (Damage) Now as a melee fighter, he has INSANE attack power. Yep, his attack
speed is fast...too fast (1.70) with a pretty nice addition every level he
gains.

- (Armor) Evasion + his Agility gain combine together causing excellent
protection. He's our meathield, guaranteed.

Conclusion:
----------

He has decent Str, Agi and Int base, coupled with nice additions each level.
He's undoubtely Night Elf's strongest hero, capable to be used at different
environment and different situation. You can rely your faith ih this guy.

--------------------------------
[7d]. Demon Hunter's Weak points
--------------------------------

Here I have listed some (different from Warden, eh :P ) Demon Hunter's
weaknesses,

- Be particularly careful when facing these types of nukes, although he surely
  able to survive all of the nukes listed below but they could effectively
  remove your DH from combat temporarily. Examples of 'nukes':
        *) Undead's Tri-Nuke: Frost Nova, Death Coil and Impale
           Description : The best nuke in The Frozen Throne universe. Just
                              don't let him a ccept direct hit from those
        *) Orc's Nuke : Chain Lightning and Shockwave
           Description : If you take these two spells directly, guaranteed
                              that your KotG will have his life points
                              reduced considerably. Use invis pot or Anti Magic
                              Potion will prevent this.
        *) Panda+Naga Sea : Drunken Haze + Breath of Fire and Fork Lightning
           Description : Panda at high level is a pain. His Drunken Haze
                              can destroy your KotG, also with his Breath of
                              Fire enabled you can take free damage quickly.
                              Oh, dished with Fork Lightning after that isn't a
                              fun thing to do. So better use Invulnerable
                              potion if you happen to meet this combo.

- Stun spell (Storm Bolt etc), that will lead to surround tactics because
  DH has no way to escape except using Town Portal or TPed by Staff of
  Preservation.

- Curse spell (Banshee), that will weaken him severely. Use Dryads' Abolish
  Magic to dispel the effect.

- Slow spell (Sorceress), that will weaken him severely. Use Dryads' Abolish
  Magic to dispel the effect.

- Stasis Trap is deadly too, not because of their damage, but for their stun...
  that WOULD lead to surround tactics because DH has no way to escape except
  using Town Portal or TP-ed by Staff of Preservation.

- Any hero with 'summon' skill (ex: Beastmaster or Far Seer) can destroys low-
  level Demon Hunter, even if you are able to kill the hero, your DH would
  be severely damaged. Use wisps to remove them quickly.

- Air Units. If you meet mass air units, be prepared to buy Orb of Venom or
  your Demon Hunter will render useless, since he doesn't have spells to reach
  air.

- Doesn't have Shadowmeld :( , so the only thing for him to hide is the godly
  Staff of Preservation.

----------------------------------
[7e]. Demon Hunter's Strong points
----------------------------------

Compared to another NE hero, you can pretty sure this guy have more strong
points than weaknesses :D

+ There is no channeling spell for this guy! You can still smack your opponent
with his ultimate unlike Priestess of the Moon or Far Seer with their
ultimates.

+ Metamorphosis is a decent....an ultra powerful spell (Ultimate), coupled with
few potions, you can destroy your opponent armies with ease.

+ His Evasion is one of the nicest passive skill in this game. Easy to use and
dependable.

+ Very strong to be used as a tanker. This is because his Evasion and physical
stats are so good.

+ Not mana-dependable. Particularly, his attack power is more useful than his
spells

+ Quite fast movement speed.

--------------------------
[7f]. Demon Hunter's Items
--------------------------

Hero should carry items to help him/her survive in combats. Most hero will need
same items and so Demon Hunter. But there is several good items for Demon
Hunter, let's take a look one by one.

Consumables:
-----------

- Scroll of Town Portal
  Undoubtely the most useful item in this game. You can transport back to your
  main town simply by double clicking the scroll's portrait.

- Healing Potion
  Sold cheaply for 150 gold. Buy one of this item will improve your DH's
  survivalability greatly.

- Greater Healing Potion
  (same as Healing Potion, except for the price xD )

- Invulnerable Potion
  This lil' item will keep you DH stay healthy.....no stay alive I mean. 7
  seconds invulnerability is insane, you can then remove him from focus fire or
  step even further, at the same time abusing your Mana Burn. Always have
  this item in your inventory.

Always bring reasonable amount of this item whenever you
  want to go fight your foe till death.

Useless Consumables:
--------------------

- Any mana-related potions
  Ex: Mana Potion, or Clarity Potion.
  Since Demon Hunter doesn't rely heavily in his mana, there's no need for you
  to but these items. You can spend your gold in Staff of Preservation, for
  example, so as to save your other units.

Equipments:
----------

- Staff of Preservation
  Most Night Elf players will bring this thingy, even just one. This staff can
  be your dear saviour, especially to save hero and bears. Since Demon Hunter
  only need very very little micro (unlike Lich or Archmage, for example), you
  can concentrate your energy to preserve your units.

- Circlet of Nobility
  if you happen find some on your creeping time, don't sell them. Most players
  sell this item for measly gold, this is useless. +2 stats gain for ALL power
  is a nice addition for him.

- Gloves of Haste
  Very excellent item for him, you can even more rely on his physical attack. +
  15% attack speed will cause a havoc in your opponents armies.

- Boots of Speed
  Well, if you have enough gold, please buy this item. Even more neede when you
  fight Blademaster or DK, for example, since these two heroes have faster
  movement speed than DH (Blademaster has WW, DK has Unholy Aura).

- Helm of Cunning and Helm of Valor
  Don't sell these items if you happen to meet one. +4 stats improvements are
  good.

- Runed Bracers
  This cheap little proggie is able to reduce the spell attacks. Have it at
  your inventory if possible.

- Staff of Silence
  You might want to keep this to silence those spellcasters and heroes' spells
  temporarily.

- Any Aura-related equips
  ex: The Lion Horn of Stormwind, Scourge Bone Chimes, Legion Doom-Horn,
  Khadgar's Pipe of Insight, Ancient Janggo of Endurance, Alleria's Flute of
  Accuracy.

- Any Orb
  Pretty useful to hit that air unit. Remember, he's melee not ranged hero
  (except when metamorphing).

Useless equipments:
------------------

- Pendant of Mana or Pendant of Energy
  What? What do you expect from these equips for your DH?

- Talisman of Evasion
  One word... 'stack'.

--------------------------------------
[7g]. Demon Hunter's Threats and Preys
--------------------------------------

This section will cover another heroes, mostly used to see another strength and
weaknesses. The largest section in this FAQ, I believe.

Bad against:
------------

- Death Knight (Undead)
  Coil, coil and coil. Most likely he will harass your creeping time and trying
  to steal your exp this and there. Fight and repel him first, even with lv 1
  MB before you think another moves. Undead at first tier does not have healing
  method except Blight regeneration and DK's Coil, but Coil cannot be used on
  self. Also he has Aura and Death Pact, his Unholy Aura makes his regeneration
  faster so even you smack him severely, prepare to be attacked on
  a minute. Death Pact usually can be tossed aside and does not counted, but if
  DK uses this spell, you DH will have tough time beating this guy. Luckily
  his ultimate is not that useful, you can simply runaway and let his
  ultimate effect subsides. But truly worhy for him to become Undead's first
  hero.
  Difficulty: 9/10

- Blademaster (Orc)
  First of all, handle and beat his Windwalk first. He fits to be placed as
  first hero and for harassing (Wind Walk). As long as you buy Dust of
  Appearance at the beginning of the game, you should be fine. Don't let him
  kills your wisps and avoid direct battle with him (one by one, because he has
  Critical Strike) until you gain enough level to cast high quality Mana Burn
  and bring your almighty Evasion. In the meantime, cast MB everytime you see
  this hero so as to repel his Wind Walk spell. His ultimate does not
  counted....easily avoided.
  Difficulty: 9/10

- Pandaren (Neutral)
  There are two disadvantages for DH when fighting against Pandaren. First,
  her life points is small, making him vulnerable to deadly Drunken Haze+
  Breath of Fire combo. Second, Panda's physical strength is incredible so he
  could easily survive DH's attacks. When fighting against him, be sure not
  to be outmaneuvered by his spells and forced back to retreat since he is able
  to massacre your forces from behind. Try to Mana Burn him so as to block his
  combo's power for Panda without spells is nothing :) . His ultimate is even
  worse, Storm Earth and Fire is very difficult to be countered, best to run
  while he's using this spell. You might try to harass him while he's
  creeping so as to remove his valuable exp. Panda at lv 1 isn't deadly but
  Panda at lv 3 with his mighty combo is a force to be reckoned with, remember
  that.
  Difficulty: 9/10

Prolly against:
---------------

Any strength hero is a decent foe for DH (and also some agility heroes).

- Tauren Chieftain (Orc)
  Tankers..... Even if you hit him hard, he still stands firm for sure. His
  high HP allows him to survive DH's attacks. DH will need another units to
  help him kill this hero, some bears and dryads would suffice. Don't worry
  about his spells, Endurance Aura is nothing, Shockwave and War Stomp can be
  avoided easily by casting some Mana Burn to him. Also because most of Tauren
  users will blast Shockwave to your units not to your DH (from my
  experience). The most annoying parts are his high HP and Reincarnation,
  which allows him to revive with FULL HP and Mana.... But this hero isn't
  that hard when compared to DK...
  Difficulty: 7.5/10

- Dreadlord (Undead)
  If your opponent is using this hero for his first, then be prepared to learn
  either Immolation or Evasion. Most likely he will use Sleep and surround
  your DH, so you'd be better watch out. Using Immolation and few Archers would
  help your DH to survive. Don't fight this hero alone, bring another hero with
  you (ex: Naga Sea Witch ). But mostly this hero is used for Tankers
  (he's strength type hero) and of course because of his Vampiric Aura which
  is nice for Mass Ghouls and Mass Gargoyles tactics.

  Frost Armor, you shouldn't strike him hand-to hand since your attack speed is
  badly reduced, better to strike his units first, but you can still cast Mana
  Burn as it will weaken him somewhat. Luckily, he's intelligence hero and does
  not have high HP. His ultimate is useless against DH, good for building
  only.
  Difficulty: 7/10

- Crypt Lord
  Impale, the almighty spell even in its FIRST level. The stun is insane, ya
  know? Mana Burn works wonder for this hero, but you'll need another hero to
  hunt him down, because he has wicked passive skill like Carapace Armor...Oh
  bring wisps too if he starts spawning his beetles.
  Difficulty: 6.5/10

- Archmage
  Only his Water Elemental that counts, the rest of his spells are useless
  against DH. Hunt him down quickly, MB could renders so good support too.
  Difficulty: 6/10

- Paladin
  He has Divine Shield and Devotion Aura, also with decent HP. Beat him before
  he reaches high level hero, since you will find only trouble due to his
  shield and ultimate (Resurrection). Holy Light and Divine Shield should be
  dealt by Mana Burn.
  Difficulty: 6/10

- Mountain King
  His almighty Storm Bolt and War Stomp are serious attacks for DH. Use
  Anti Magic potion to keep his spells at bay or MB him BEFORE he's able to
  cast them, let him waste his mana at your units NOT your DH. His high HP is
  also quite difficult to beat, I believe he's equal to Tauren Chieftain.
  Difficulty: 7.5/10

- Pit Lord
  Mmmmmmmmm, it won't take a long time to beat this hero, just patience needed
  because like another str heroes, he has high HP. Try not to be in his
  troublesome AoE spell, Rain of Fire.
  Difficulty: 7/10

- Dark Ranger
  Ah, her minions are trouble especially if she have huge numbers of them, stay
  out till her skellys are down. Silence and Health Drain are not serious, MB
  her to kill her easily.
  Difficulty: 7/10

- Firelord
  Firelord usually used as second hero and thus placed on low - level hero. No
  real threat from his spells, except Lava Spawn (Summon spell, not hard but
  annoying). His Lava Burn and Incinerate do not considered as a threat for me,
  as well as his ultimate. Blow him with MB should suffice.
  Difficulty: 7/10

- Beastmaster
  Detonate wisp to deal with his summons, and Mana Burn him for optimal result.
  He has quite big HP so be prepared to hit him FAST and HARD! :P
  Difficulty: 7.5/10

- Warden
  Heh, worry not. She is no match for DH ;_; Mana Burn should be used to deny
  her almighty FoK and SS. In such strait she won't last that long, but you
  might not be able to kill her due to Blink and Shadowmeld.
  Difficulty: 7/10

Good against:
-------------

Intelligence heroes is no match for properly trained DH, as long as you don't
linger around....

- Far Seer (Orc)
  His HP isn't that high because he's intelligence hero. But his wolves are
  annoying, so bring wisp and detonate them, higher level wolves may require
  more than one wisp to finish them off. Careful by his Chain Lightning, at lv
  3 it may injure your low level units like Archers and Huntress so Mana Burn
  him first to avoid this. His ultimate does not counted it will not affect
  anything except building. Usually simple attacks should be enough to defeat
  him, only his Wolves and Chain Lightning that are worth mentioning.
  Difficulty: 6.5/10

- Shadow Hunter (Orc)
  His Healing Wave and Hex are the most annoying parts. He can heals his
  wounded units and Hex your DH. While using Hex, decent orc players
  usually surround your DH with Speed Scroll and forces you to Tp-ing. He has
  slow movement and attacking speed, also low HP and useless ultimate. This
  what makes him an easy prey for DH, two lv 3 MB and he has nothing.... But
  use some Dryads to slow him down while your DH deals with his mana poolfirst.
  Difficulty: 5/10

- Priestess of the Moon
  Mounted archer....not worth mentioning. She doesn't have active spells thus
  rendering her useless against DH. But careful about her Trueshot Aura,
  it's deadly in team game and ranged units. Fortunately she has very little
  HP, slashing her with regular attacks should be enough. For her Searing
  Arrow, use MB.
  Difficulty: 5.5/10

- Keeper of the Grove
  Watch out his Entagling Roots, while his Treants should be dealt with your
  troops not your DH. Buy Health Potion when facing this hero, his Thorns
  Aura is hurt. But he usually doesn't used as first hero, especially in NE
  mirror, so you won't see him high-leveled enough to trouble your DH. In fact,
  Mana Burn alone can deal with him immediately. :P
  Difficulty: 5.5/10

- Blood Mage
  Okay, this is the most pathetic hero ever exist..... :P His Flame Pillars
  does decent damage, but slow animation and slow casting time makes it easily
  avoided. His Siphon Mana and Banish don't help him much, also he have rather
  low HP, so MB and smack him away can kill this guy easily. Just don't get
  banished and stunned by MK's combo.
  Difficulty: 3/10

- Alchemist
  Healing Spray, Acid Bomb, Chemical Rage and Transmute....are not seen as
  powerful spells for me. But his primary attribute is str, that's what makes
  him rather difficult to kill. Mana Burn works wonder for this guy. Be
  wary however, usually this hero is used as a support only not main hero,
  so if there's another heroes in battle deal with them first!
  Difficulty: 5/10

- Tinker
  His Pocket Factory is a decent spell so as his ultimate (Robo-Goblin). But
  he's an int hero, so low HP is his friend. take him down quickly before he
  gains a level.
  Difficulty: 5/10

- Naga Sea Witch
  This her o is awesome to become DH's partner, but if you meet her as an
  opponent, blast her with MB and hunt her with regular attacks. She will die
  pretty quickly. It's true that she possesses Mana Shield, but most WC3
  players ignore this skill and get Cold Arrows and Fork Lightning, so you can
  safely nuke her without any real resistance (except items, of course xD )
  Difficulty: 5.5/10

[7h]. Demon Hunter's Maps Analysis
----------------------------------

Demon Hunter is inarguably can be used at ANY map with DIFFERENT terrains,
because of his strong physical nature. However, I'll list some maps to give
some description.

- Lost Temple
  Explanation: Good map for Night Elf. As long as you quickly creeping and make
  your DH high level hero, you should be okay. Go creeping at your
  expansion first and gain a level. After that you can either harass your
  opponent or deal with mid camp (creep) that guards the fountain. The path is
  up to you. I prefer harassing your opponent on this map, because my Moonwells
  are able to provide additional mana and health. Dont forget teching! :D
  Skill Build possible:
  -> Fighter (best), Tanker (2nd)

- Turtle Rock
  Explanation: if it's a close spawn, you'll be in bit trouble, be quick and
  build several archers to help you defend your base. But if it isn't,
  you can quickly creeping around and gain level 2 easily, steal the free wards
  from both tavern, they can help you greatly. From this state, you can either
  expand or harassing your enemy while teching.
  Skill Build possible:
  -> Fighter (best), Tanker (2nd)

- Gnoll Wood
  Explanation: Best for creeping. Go level up your DH quickly and expand.
  The most strategy is Bear + Dryad, they can help DH considerable here.
  Skill Build possible:
  -> Fighter (best), Tanker (2nd)

- Twisted Meadows
  (same as Gnoll Wood)
  Skill Build possible:
  -> Tanker (best), Fighter (2nd)

- Avalanche
  Usually for team games. Just creeping your surroundings and expand at the
  center of your ally and your position, ask your ally to build his expo here
  (shouldn't be NE who build an expo, it's for Human or Orc). You can use
  Harasser build to pull e very advantages of your DH's spells (teamgame
  needs attack power and team works, not micro).
  Skill Build possible:
  -> Harasser (best), Tanker (2nd)

- Maps larger than 2 vs 2 maps.
  Explanation: Larger maps allow DH to go creeping and gains enough level.
  High Leveled DH will make him very difficult to kill, especially with Lv 3
  Evasion. Don't forget to bring also Town Portal because your movement speed
  cannot be compared to Warden (Blink).

[8a]. Keeper of the Grove's Basics
-----------------------------------

Yeah a bit intro as usual :P

Keeper of the Grove is the only ONE in NE's altar who possesses intelligence
attribute. So he's seriously a good addition to NE heroes set. You can expect
good challenge when using him, but beware, he needs the biggest micro skill
ever. Trust me, it's not fun playing him without proper skill. You'll need
practice, strategy and knowledge to pull his powers.

Oh, he's the weakest of the four NE heroes (physical abilities), don't forget
that...

NOTE:

- Treants do normal damage, and have a lifespan. Number of treants increases
with level.

- Melee return damage doesn't calculate critical strike.

- Tranquility affects mechanicals as well.

- Entangling Root disables unit's attack also.

-----------------------------------------------------------
[8b]. Keeper of the Grove's Skills analysis + Skills Build
-----------------------------------------------------------

Skills Analysis
---------------

Entagling Roots
---------------

Advantages and disadvantages:

+ Very good spell for tier-1 units. It hurts badly for low life units, ex:
  Archer, Footman etc. At level 3, ER is deadly both hero and regular (land)
  units however powerful they are. Has relatively quick cooldown, bring mana
  potions to pull this spell to its full potential.

+ Disables the enemy's movement, so you can kill it with focus fire.

+ Disables the enemy's attacks. Making it very useless temporarily.

+ Stops channeling spells! Wow, can you hear me, IT STOPS CHANNELING SPELLS!

+ Quick cooldown, even at higher level.

+ Low mana cost, even at higher level.

- Dispellable.

- Cannot be used on air unit.

- Not an AoE spell. :P

Usages:
-------

- Nukes. Try to use ER with other heroes' spells ex: Mana Burn (DH) or Shadow
  Strike (Warden). However, it is quite independent, you can always focus fire
  your foe.

- Cast it at Red health unit. You can kill it without even send a strike.

- Cast it at Fleeing unit. ER has quite huge cast range, so you can catch that
  runaway unit easily.

- Cast it at Hero. cast this at hero to effectively remove him/ her form combat
  temporarily, especially for these heroes: Demon Hunter, Blademaster, Mountain
  King.

Force of Nature
---------------

Advantages and Disadvantages:

+ Cheap mana cost.

+ Treants at lv 3 are strong units.

+ Long cast range.

- If this spell does not mastered, it's rather useless. Treants in lv1 or lv2
  aren't that strong.

- Can be dispelled (Treants).

- Quite long cooldown.

Usages:
-------

- Cast in trees.

- Used for scouting and in battle. Useful for giving your army a booster.

Thorns Aura
-----------

Advantages and Disadvantages:

+ Passive aura, meaning no mana cost and actively used. YAY!

+ Has decent return melee damage.

+ Quite BIG AoE.

+ Affects air and ranged allies' unit as well, so practically this affects ALL
  allied units, unlike Brilliance Aura which has no effect for no mana units.

- Does not return ranged enemy units' damage.

Usages:
-------

- Learn this spell and forget it. >_<

Tranquility
-----------

Advantages and Disadvantages:

+ Healing AoE. Why I put this in advantages section? Simple, no other units
  have such wonderful skill like him. Healing AoE is t he rarest skill in
  Warcraft III, cast aside Healing Wards >_>

+ Its area of effect is quite HUGE!

+ VERY QUICK COOLDOWN.

+ Pretty low mana requirement. Anyway, he's intelligence hero, so he shouldn't
  have any problem about mana....

- Channeling spell. This what makes him vulnerable to attacks and focus fire.

Usages:
-------

- Please just cast this spell in BATTLE only. it's useless when cast outside
battle, or when most of your units in red conditions and need to be healed.

Skills Build
------------

There are several options building your KotG's skills. You must choose the
right one in each battle depending on your enemy' starting hero or race. Fail
to do so will get you bad result. KotG can deal with some heroes type
and form ANY race except..... Demon Hunter. Please, do not and NEVER use KotG
against Demon Hunter!

1. Entangling Roots, Thorns Aura (Catcher)
   This is the skill builds' order:
   - lv1 -> ER
   - lv2 -> TA
   - lv3 -> ER
   - lv4 -> TA
   - lv5 -> ER
   - lv6 -> Tranquility
   - lv7 -> TA
   - lv8 -> FoN
   - lv9 -> FoN
   - lv10-> FoN
   Description: ER should be mastered first. You then can deal with TA, this
   will allow you to hunt down enemy hero and low level units.

2. Force of Nature, Thorns Aura (Summoner)
   - lv1 -> FoN
   - lv2 -> TA
   - lv3 -> FoN
   - lv4 -> TA
   - lv5 -> FoN
   - lv6 -> TA
   - lv7 -> Tranquility
   - lv8 -> ER
   - lv9 -> ER
   - lv10-> ER
   Description: FoN is the most important spell here. With it, you can harass
   your opponent workers and later you can take down several enemy units all by
   using Treants only.

3. Entangling Roots, Force of nature (Spellcaster)
   - lv1 -> ER
   - lv2 -> FoN
   - lv3 -> ER
   - lv4 -> FoN
   - lv5 -> ER
   - lv6 -> FoN
   - lv7 -> Tranquility
   - lv8 -> TA
   - lv9 -> TA
   - lv10-> TA
   Description: If your opponent does not use melee units as much as his ranged
   units, this setup is for you. You can switch your playstyle quickly in
   combat, as long as you have mana to do so, remember this build is costly...

You should choose Tranquility at lv 6 / 7

Conclusion:
----------

You can experimenting about his skills. Since FoN doesn't need micro, as well
as Thorns Aura, this hero doesn't need huge attention. But beware, his HP is
quite low which makes him pretty vulnerable to physical attacks so don't
concentrate all your attention in his spells only. However, he has decent
skills which is worth to try.

|Armor   | 6                                                                  |
+========+====================================================================+

That's all for tabels for now.....

Analysis:
---------

- (Str gain) 32-16= 16. Attention, his base strength simply sucks. And his
str additions until lv 10 is 16......not ENOUGH! Why? well this is based from
his str points only, but in fact his agility is also cannot be depended as
well, which leads to pathetic armor points. So you may need PLENTY Healing
potions and Invulnerable potions. These items are MUST HAVE!

- (Agi gain) 28-15= 13. Meh...what can you expect from measly 13 points on
Intelligence hero....eh? NOTHING! His base attack speed is slow, the slowest
physical attacker in Night Elf heroes' set. this low agility points also lead
to low armor points. And so, as I mentioned above, you'll need plenty items in
order to make him survive.

- (Int gain) 42-18= 24. 24 is SICK, especially because he relies heavily on his
spells. However, if you decide to go spellcaster type, bring mana potions won't
hurt. It's not fun for you to know that your Keeper of the Grove runs out his
mana in the middle of the battle. But usually high Int means high mana
regeneration so there's no need to stock mana or clarity potions like no
tomorrow.

- (Health) Bad str gain leads to low HP, low HP leads to early death. And yes,
it's a fact. you need to depend heavily on your moonwells and healing potions.
Or you can use Staff of Preservation in order to TP-ing him back and drain
moonwells' water.

- (Mana) He has adequate amount of Mana. But it won't hurt to improve this part
by using potions or +stat point items.

- (Damage) Well, he has worthless attack power, added with slow attack speed.
You can't expect him as a fighter. So +damage items may prove useful, as long
as you don't exchange life enhancement items to improve his attack power.

- (Armor) ....argh, his armor aren't enough to keep him alive in deadly combat.
Avoid direct hits, nukes and crippling spells. No item can be used to improve
this stat (rings aren't that good....sadly)

Conclusion:
----------

His physical stats need improvement quickly. If you neglect this, you can't
even survive 10 hits from Blademaster or Demon Hunter, trust me. But his
magical stats are good, fit to be placed into intelligence hero.

----------------------------------------
[8d]. Keeper of the Grove's Weak points
----------------------------------------

Argh, I hate to say this, but Intelligence heroes have way toooooooo much weak
points than strong points. Sad, but it's a truth...

- He must not nuked. Do so will crush your KotG. Examples of 'nukes':
        *) Undead's Tri-Nuke: Frost Nova, Death Coil and Impale
           Description : The best nuke in The Frozen Throne universe. Just
                              don't let him a ccept direct hit from those
        *) Warden's SS+ FoK : Shadow Strike + Physical Hit + Fans
           Description : SS is too powerful at lv 3, chance that you won't
                              even survive 3 hits from it, mainly because of
                              its fast cooldown as well. Use Invulnerable
                              Potion if she starts spamming the spell at you.

- He must not be focus-fired. Low HP and Armor make him very vulnerable to
  this attack type.

- Don't let him being caught by Net or Roots. This will lead to Focus Fire
  attack type and ultimately to nukes.

- Don't counter melee heroes alone. Your KotG is no match for them.

- Avoid Curse spell (Banshee), that will weaken him severely. Use Dryads'
  Abolish Magic to dispel the effect.

- Avoid Slow spell (Sorceress), that will weaken him severely. Use Dryads'
  Abolish Magic to dispel the effect.

- Demon Hunter! His Mana Burn is annoying, besides he is much much stronger
  than KotG (physically). There is no way you can beat this guy with KotG.
  If you see your opponent using DH, switch your hero immediately!

- Blademaster. For some reasons, he dies in BM hands pretty quickly especially
  when he is hit by critical strikes and Wind Walk. Don't come near him!

- Any hero with 'summon' skill (ex: Beastmaster or Far Seer) can destroys low-
  level KotG, even if you are able to kill the hero, your KotG would be
  severely damaged. To avoid this, bring some wisps to dispel their summons.

- Very vulnerable to siege weapons somewhat. Perhaps due to his low life points
  and low armors.

- Rather slow movement speed and of course he has the biggest appearance in
  Night Elf heroes' set. This makes him prone to AoE attacks.

- His ultimate is channeling spell, thus makes him easy target when cast his
  ultimate.

------------------------------------------
[8e]. Keeper of the Grove's Strong points
------------------------------------------

Be not disheartened, folks. I also will tell you his strong powers. Here they
are:

+ The only intelligence hero in Night Elf's altar. This offers him significant
firepower due to his spells (usually intelligence heroes have a strong set of
spells as he has).

+ His ultimate is useful for healing and counter-attacking quickly. Yes, 60
seconds cooldown for ULTIMATE spell is rather crazy, but it's justifiable
because his ultimate is not used to attacking purpose.

+ His Treants are powerful unlike another spell summon.

+ Has passive aura which works wonders in ALL allied units! Oh, also quite big
AoE and decent damage (because it's based from enemy units' attacks), so don't
underestimate his aura.

+ He can attack air units unlike Warden and Demon Hunter.

----------------------------------
[8f]. Keeper of the Grove's Items
----------------------------------

This hero definitely needs items to help him survive in combat as well as to
enhance his physical ablities (mainly).

Consumables:
-----------

- Scroll of Town Portal
  Undoubtely the most useful item in this game. You can transport
  back to your main town simply by double clicking the scroll's portrait.

- Clarity Potion
  This cheap item have helped me so much in the past, regains 100
  mana unless hit by another units. Low level KotG will need this item
  constantly to help him spam Entangling Roots.

- Healing Potion
  Sold cheaply for 150 gold. Buy one of this item will improve your KotG's
  survivalability greatly.

- Greater Healing Potion
  (same as Healing Potion, except for the price).

- Mana Potion
  You'll need to stock up this item if you want spellcaster style, or when you
  fight against Demon Hunter......

- Invulnerable Potion
  This lil' item will keep you KotG stay healthy.....no stay alive I mean. 7
  seconds invulnerability is insane, you can then remove him from focus fire or
  step even further, at the same time abusing your spells xD Always have this
  item in your inventory.

This staff can
  be your dear saviour, especially to save hero and bears. But since you'll use
  this item with your KotG, you'll assuredly need some practice for quick tap
  both in your mouse and your keyboard.

- Circlet of Nobility
  if you happen find some on your creeping time, don't sell them. Most players
  sell this item for small amount of gold, this is useless. +2 stats gain for
  ALL power is a nice addition for him.

- Boots of Speed
  The most important part for your KotG. Can be used to hunt those runaway
  units and so catch them with Entangling Roots. Great synergy with this hero.

  Very useful for adding KotG's firepower.

- Staff of Silence
  You might want to keep this to silence those spellcasters and heroes' spells
  temporarily.

- Talisman of Evasion
  Unlike DH who doesn't need this item, having one at your inventory could be
  proven very valuable if you want your KotG to survive bit longer . But this
  item is rather rare, more's the pity.

- Any Aura-related equips
  ex: The Lion Horn of Stormwind, Scourge Bone Chimes, Legion Doom-Horn,
  Khadgar's Pipe of Insight, Ancient Janggo of Endurance, Alleria's Flute of
  Accuracy.

Useless equipments:
-------------------

- Any Orb
  Particularly useful to hit that air unit. But he can hit air units because
  he's ranged hero, what can you expect from those orbs except for damage
  addition?

- Gloves of Haste
  Very excellent item for other heroes but not for KotG, you rely on his spells
  not his physical attack.

----------------------------------------------
[8g]. Keeper of the Grove's Threats and Preys
----------------------------------------------

Ok, so because of this hero I need to rewrite this part from SCRATCH unlike DH
or Warden, which have similar fighting skills. Basically Intelligence heroes
would have MANY tough foes and SMALL easy preys. You may consider this as a
'fate'.

Bad against:
------------

Most of Warcraft III heroes would be able to hunt KotG down, so you may see
that there are so many heroes listed in 'Bad against' section...

- Demon Hunter
  Ah, your nightmare has come. Don't try to fight him because you'll need to
  change your hero quickly. No hope for victory unless you use KotG as 2nd or
  3rd hero, but if you use him as 1st hero.....ergh...Basically, you'll need
  another hero in your army to at least repel DH's charge, his Mana Burn is
  a trouble because KotG is mana-dependable. Your physical attacks won't work
  either because due to his HIGH armor and evasion added with your low attack
  power and slow attack speed. SO to repel him, you'll need another hero and
  place your ER on him, focus fire and pray xD
  Difficulty: 10/10

- Death Knight (Undead)
  Eck, you don't want to meet or encounter this hero in your path with KotG
  only as your hero. Why? Have you forgotten his Coils and the ALMIGHTY Unholy
  Aura. With these two spells only, he is surely able to distrupts Warden's and
  Demon Hunter's time, so how can you expect good words with KotG? basically
  he's much stronger AND faster than KotG even if you have Boots of Speed
  equipped. You probably want helper like Beastmaster or Dark Ranger to fight
  him back. ER him for a moment and use focus fire.
  Difficulty: 9/10

- Tauren Chieftain (Orc)
  Blatantly an awful foe to fight with, due to his Endurance Aura and
  Shockwave. His high HP eliminates your ER and Treants effect, while your
  Thorns aura cannot beat his melee attacks because he's rather slow even with
  Aura enabled. Most of Orc players will use him as a tankers not main units,
  so you might as well cease to attack him or if you must, ER him and focus
  fire would do OR You can try surround tactic if you like (by casting ER and
  micro your other units) because his movement speed is rather slow, but WATCH
  out his War Stomp. You may need your other units such as Dryads because they
  cannot be affected by his Spells or Bears with rejuvenation to minimize the
  injury from his combo. Granted, he's too hard to be beaten with KotG alone.
  Difficulty: 8/10

- Blademaster (Orc)
  BUY DUST OF APPEARANCE asap. eh, ASAP I mean xD How can you fight him when
  he's invisible? Just don't ever take his critical attacks (skill or by
  breaking up his Wind Walk) more than 4-5 consecutive hits, it sure hurts. ER
  him and focus fire or surround him. His HP isn't that high but the most
  annoying part that he's soooo agile and fast due to his Critical Strike and
  Wind Walk, so it'd be best if you can fight him with some decent units like
  Dryads or Bears, but don't use Mountain Giants because they're too slow to
  fight BM.
  Difficulty: 8/10

- Dreadlord (Undead)
  Don't fight him! Just evade his movement and defend at your base if you meet
  this hero. His sleep can halt your hero's movement and will lead to surround
  tactics (this is the most common strategy for Drealord's user). But if you
  insist, bring Invul potion or Town portal to avoid death. Here's how to face
  him, teching is must later if you have collected enough troops and don't let
  your KotG walk alone without any units in his side, surround him with your
  unit so Dreadlord cannot hunt your hero with his sleep+surround tactic. ER
  him and before the effect wears off, focus fire him and force him to retreat.
  You can chase him with ER at hand (Dreadlord has pretty slow movement speed).
  Difficulty: 8/10

- Warden (Night Elf)
  Don't expect easy time. Avoid her for a while until you can get good mix of
  units, ex: Dryads. Don't use a low level unit like Archers because they will
  die fairly quickly in the hand of Fan of Knives. You can try surround tactic
  if you like (by casting ER and micro your other units) but don't attempt this
  move if she possesses Blink already. If she manages to level up
  to higher level, bring also decent hero to fight her like Beastmaster or
  Firelord since it's nearly impossible to fight her by KotG only.
  Difficulty 10/10

- Pandaren (Neutral)
  There are two disadvantages for KotG when fighting against Pandaren. First,
  his life points is so small, making him vulnerable to deadly Drunken Haze+
  Breath of Fire combo. Second, Panda's physical strength is incredible so he
  could easily survive KotG's attacks.
Try to ER him as much as
  possible so he can't fight your force efficiently.
  Difficulty: 10/10

Prolly against:
---------------

- Lich (Undead)
  Woooot, careful with his Frost Nova. And if he brings DK along, GO HOME
  immediately, that's it if you only have KotG alone in your stock. Basically
  he's feared because he can spam Frost Nova almost indefinitely thanks to Dark
  Ritual. However, he's still intelligence hero at least so you can cast ER and
  try to focus fire or surround him, granted he will die pretty quickly. In
  case he's trying to run (not TPing or Invul pot) you can chase him because
  his movespeed isn't that fast. And about his two other spells, Frost Armor
  and Death and Decay, there's no need to worry. Frost Armor only affects melee
  units even his armor is still increased by little, meanwhile Death and Decay
  isn't used to be cast in combat, it's for buildings.
  Difficulty: 7/10

- Crypt Lord
  The only valuable spell in this hero's possesion is Impale. you can try the
  same old strategy (ER and surround) mostly after he stuns your hero with his
  Impale.
  Difficulty: 7/10

- Archmage
  Simply put, you can cast ER and surround him before his Water Elemental does
  any real damage to your KotG, and bring Dryads to dispel his Water Elemental.
  Difficulty: 6.5/10

- Paladin
  He has Divine Shield and Devotion Aura, also with decent HP. Beat him before
  he reaches high level hero, since you will find only trouble due to his
  shield and ultimate (Resurrection). You can always use ER to stop his
  movement and attack him with your physical attacks after surround tactic.
  Difficulty: 7/10

- Mountain King
  His almighty Storm Bolt and War Stomp are serious attacks for KotG. Use
  Anti Magic potion to keep his spells at bay, let him waste his mana at your
  units NOT your KotG. His high HP is also quite difficult to beat, I believe
  he's an equal to Tauren Chieftain.
  Difficulty: 7.5/10

- Pit Lord
  Mmmmmmmmm, it won't take a long time to beat this hero, just patience needed
  because like another str heroes, he has high HP. ER and surround him, for his
  movement speed isn't fast enough to avoid this.
  Difficulty: 7/10

- Dark Ranger
  Ah, her minions are trouble especially if she have huge numbers of them, stay
  out till her skellys are down. Bring some Wisps to repel them. Silence and
  health Drain are not serious, ER her to kill her easily.
  Difficulty: 7/10

- Firelord
  Firelord usually used as second hero and thus placed on low - level hero. No
  real threat from his spells, except Lava Spawn (Summon spell, not hard but
  annoying). BUT best to avoid his Soul Burn because you cannot cast your
  spells effectively, so ER him and bring Dryads to dispel his Lava Spawn and
  Soul Burn.
  Difficulty: 7/10

- Beastmaster
  Dryad is a must! You can do nothing against him if you don't bring Dryads.
  Abolish is summons and avoid direct contact with him, so ER is your
  important spell. You may find tough battle with him, but he don't have killer
  spell for causing a havoc at your army. JUST watch out his Summons OR you can
  try summon vs summon match by using treants.
  Difficulty: 7.5/10

- Alchemist
  Healing Spray, Acid Bomb, Chemical Rage and Transmute....are not seen as
  powerful spells for me. But his primary attribute is str, that what makes him
  rather difficult to kill. ER +few attacks work wonder for this guy. Be wary
  however, usually this hero is used as a support only not main hero, so if
  there's another heroes in battle deal with them first!
  Difficulty: 5/10

- Far Seer (Orc)
  Don't engage his wolves, instead use wisp to kill them (detonate) while you
  focus your attention to Far Seer OR bring Dryads to dispel them. Most Orc
  player will use Far Seer as first hero because of his superior creeping
  skills (due to wolves). ER works wonder to catch him and does surround
  method, he will fall quickly because of his low HP. Oh also watch out for his
  Chain Lightning, it can causes real causalities if you're not careful.
  Difficulty: 6.5/10

- Shadow Hunter (Orc)
  His Healing Wave and Hex are the most annoying parts. He can heals his
  wounded units and Hex your KotG. While using Hex, decent orc players
  usually surround your KotG with Speed Scroll and forces you to Tp-ing,
  nothing more for you to do. To avoid this, take also other hero and buy them
  both Staff of Preservation so you may save each other with it. There's
  another way to avoid this by casting ER quicker than him. Surround him after
  that and he's gone. Basically who's quicker is the winner.
  Difficulty: 5/10

- Priestess of the Moon (NE)
  Her Searing Arrows hurt this hero badly, especially if shot in large quantity
  and ADDED with her almighty Trueshot Aura. But she's just a mounted archer so
  surely she doesn't possess super physical strength. Safely said, she can be
  defeated with some struggle. Just don't get in hand-to-hand combat with her
  but take advantage of your spells. ER her and do a focus fire and surround if
  possible. You may need Dryad's help to slow her down if she's trying to run
  away because her movement speed is quite fast. Avoid her Starfall, just run
  if she starts to cast this spell OR cast ER to STOP her ultimate.
  Difficulty: 6.5/10

Good against:
-------------

Honestly, I almost have no idea which heroes should I put here, because of
KotG's affinity. Ah well, after a long thought, I finally picked these heroes
here,

- Blood Mage
  Avoid his Siphon Mana since you'll need your mana points, obviously. ER him
  should be enough while you order your army to focus fire him. Just don't get
  hit by Banish and Flame Pillars combo. He has low HP and slow movespeed, it
  shouldn't that hard to kill him, try to surround him with Treants after you
  cast ER.
  Difficulty: 4/10

- Tinker
  His Pocket Factory is a decent spell so as his ultimate (Robo-Goblin). But
  he's an int hero, so low HP is his friend. take him down quickly before he
  gains a level. Focus fire or surround tactic would do.
  Difficulty: 5/10

- Naga Sea Witch
  This hero is awesome to become KotG's partner, but if you meet her as an
  opponent, blast her w ith ER+ Focus Fire. She will die pretty quickly. It's
  true that she possesses Mana Shield, but most WC3 players ignore this skill
  and get Cold Arrows and Fork Ligtning, so you can safely nuke her without any
  real resistance (except items, of course xD ). You may as well surround her
  after you cast ER, she cannot escape due to her slow movement speed.
  Difficulty: 5.5/10

------------------------------------------
[8h]. Keeper of the Grove's Maps Analysis
------------------------------------------

Most of the maps aren't compatible to use KotG as first hero. However if you
wish to know the details so be it....

- Lost Temple
  Explanation: The best course for KotG is harassing your opponent's creeping
  time, especially when you fight human. And while you harass them, quickly
  tech your own hall and try to expand your gold mines. At this tate, you must
  use Dryads or Bears because usually Archers are not strong enough to support
  KotG. Constant harrassment is the key here.
  Skill Build possible:
  -> Catcher (best), Spellcaster (2nd)
- Turtle Rock
  Explanation: Don't expect close spawn, you may not win at all (unless you
  fight with terrible opponent...). If you happen to encounter close spawn,
  your best choice is to defend your best while teching. If not close spawn,
  it's best if you can creep around and open new goldmines, but don't attempt
  to expand until you have decent army to defend the expansion.
  Skill Build possible:
  -> Spellcaster (best), Catcher (2nd)
- Gnoll Wood
  Explanation: Best for creeping. Go level up your KotG quickly and expand.
  The most strategy is Bear + Dryad, they can help KotG considerable here.
  Skill Build possible:
  -> Catcher (best), Spellcaster (2nd)
- Twisted Meadows
  (same as Gnoll Wood)
  Skill Build possible:
  -> Summoner (best), Spellcaster (2nd)
- Avalanche
  Usually for team games. Just creeping your surroundings and expand at the
  center of your ally and your position, ask your ally to build his expo here
  (shouldn't be NE who build an expo, it's for Human or Orc). You can use
  Summoner build to pull every advantages of your KotG's spells (teamgame
  needs attack power and team works, not micro).
  Skill Build possible:
  -> Spellcaster (best), Summoner (2nd)
- Maps larger than 2 vs 2 maps.
  Explanation: Larger maps allow KotG to go creeping and gains enough level.
  High Leveled KotG will make him 'rather' difficult to kill. Just don't forget
  to get 2nd hero as your asset.

[9]. Priestess of the Moon [MOON4]
===============================================================================

------------------------------------
[9a]. Priestess of the Moon's Basics
------------------------------------

Yeah a bit intro as usual :P but I'm getting bored writing an intro..... xD

Yes, yes. Mounted archer is her speciality. With some decent abilities, she is
adept at slaying her enemies from afar. Her abilities shine at team games
(Trueshot Aura and Starfall), but ranged hero always has same weak point....low
HP and physical strength...as she is. But her inner power is adequate enough to
cover her weak points.

Anyway, she is the only one who can cast AoE damage dealer in her Ultimate
skill, so this what makes her good since AoE spells have -somehow- high usage.

Native Skills:
--------------

Native skills are possessed directly without any condition. They allow PotM
to do somehing more than just casting spells.

+============+================================================================+
|Shadowmeld | Allows PotM to hides herself when she doesn't perform any |
|            | action at night.                                               |
+============+================================================================+
|Ultravision | Allows PotM to see as far as she can like daylight. |
+============+================================================================+
|Inventory | Allows PotM to bring items up to 6. |

Advanced Skills (Part 1):
-------------------------

Advanced skills require spell points to be learned. You can gain spell point by
leveling up your PotM. Each level will give you 1 (one) spell point.

+==============+==============================================================+
|Skill Name    | Description                                                  |
+==============+==============================================================+
|Searing Arrows| Enhances PotM's arrow with fire effect. Power and acquisition|
|(SA) | range are increased each level. |
+==============+==============================================================+
|Scout | Temporarily summons an Owl Scout, which can be used to scout |
| | the map. Can see invisible units. Owl's lifetime and vision |
|              | are increased every level.                                   |
+==============+==============================================================+
|Trueshot Aura | An aura that gives friendly nearby units bonus damage to |

+==============+==============================================================+
|Starfall | Calls down waves of falling stars that damage nearby enemy |
|(Ultimate) | units. AoE Spell, channeling. The spell affects magic- |
|              | immune units as well.                                        |

+=========+=====================+=======================+=====================+
|Scout    |   100 mana          |  75 mana              | 50 mana             |
| | HAS 20 secs cooldown and 200 AoE FOR ALL LEVELS |
+=========+=====================+=======================+=====================+
|TA       | 10 percent          | 10 percent            | 10 percent          |

+=========+=====================+=======================+=====================+
|Starfall | (AT LEVEL 6 ONLY OR HIGHER LEVEL) |
| | 200 mana cost, one cooldown each day |
+=========+=====================+=======================+=====================+

NOTE:
- TA affects ranged units only.
- SA improves her acquisition range at higher level.
- Owl scout is invulnerable and also air unit.
- Starfall's AoE is capped at 1000, with 50 damage each wave in 1.50 interval.
  Does less damamge to buildings and heroes.
- I do not list the Hotkeys because of that costumized hotkeys feature.

------------------------------------------------------------
[9b]. Priestess of the Moon's Skills analysis + Skills Build
------------------------------------------------------------

Skills Analysis
---------------

Searing Arrows
--------------

Advantages and disadvantages:

+ Can be set to Auto-cast mode thus enables you to fire it at will without
using hotkeys or place your mouse again.

+ Improves her acquisition range at higher level thus she becomes a better
slayer as her spell grows powerful.

+ Has good synergy with Trueshot Aura since both spells add a good chunk of
damage to her attack.

+ This spell affects building as well.

+ NO cooldown. You can shoot this arrow anytime you want to.

- Mana cost is too expensive if this is used repeatedly.

- Has limited usage against some units, ex: Spirit Walker in ethereal form,
since this deals physical damage only EVEN Searing Arrow itself is a spell :(

Usages:

- Just use auto fire after you have learned the spell, make sure you do not run
out of your mana if you intend to do so.

- There's no particular usage for this spell since it only enhances PotM's
acquisition range and attack power.

- Don't use this while creeping, you only waste your valuable mana.

Scout
-----

Advantages and Disadvantages:

+ Very effective for scouting (This is why this spell is called 'scout').

+ Fast cooldown, you don't have to wait the Owl effect to wear off prematurely
before you can cast another one.

+ No cast range.

- If this spell does not mastered, it's rather useless, put at least 2 points
so as you can feel the advantage.

- Does not have any effect against enemy units, except being seen by you, well
Owl cannot do any damage, it's the major drawback.

Usages:

- Use this spell to catch hero and order the scout to follow him/her
indefenitely thus this will give you an advantage because you can see your
opponent's hero(es) movement at will.

- You can also catch invisible units, owl can sees them.

- Backdoor! Since most common build position for Human, Undead, and Orc is to
protect their villagers, you can bypass the obstacles by using this spell to
scout and harass them safely.

Trueshot Aura
-------------

Advantages and Disadvantages:

+ Passive aura, meaning no mana cost and actively used. YAY!

+ Quite BIG AoE.

+ Has big percentage improvement at each level.

- Does not affects melee units' damage.

Usages:
-------

- Learn this spell and forget it. >_<

Starfall
--------

Advantages and Disadvantages:

+ AoE spell, perhaps the strongest AoE spell in the game.

+ Affects magic immune and ethereal units as well. With this you can simply
blow your enemy's entire fleet all by herself if they do not provide
countermeasure against Starfall.

- High mana cost, but you can still rely on your Moon Wells to fill her mana.

- Channeling s pell so it can be interrupted easily if you're not prepared
against it, and also since PotM must stand there doing nothing, this spell can
be easily avoided by just stay away from her.

- Slow cooldown.

Usages:

- Please just cast this spell in BATTLE only. it's useless when cast outside
battle.

Skills Build
------------

There are several options building your PotM's skills. You must choose the
right one in each battle depending on your enemy' starting hero or race. Fail
to do so will get you bad result. Example of this hero's common usage is in NE
mirror or team battle, you can't use this against experienced Human, Orc or
Undead players because PotM is no match for their heroes EVEN with her
strongest party, Mass Huntresses.

1. Scout, Trueshot Aura (Scouter)
   This is the skill builds' order:
   - lv1 -> Scout
   - lv2 -> TA
   - lv3 -> Scout
   - lv4 -> TA
   - lv5 -> TA
   - lv6 -> Starfall
   - lv7 -> Scout
   - lv8 -> SA
   - lv9 -> SA
   - lv10-> SA
   Description: We need to alternate between Scout and Trueshot Aura skill,
   since lv 2 and lv 3 scout do not have extreme improvent, you can safely add
   your fifth point to Aura. Use Scout early to evade creepjacked situation and
   increases the chance to creepjacking your foe.

2. Scout, Searing Arrows (Leader)
   - lv1 -> SA
   - lv2 -> Scout
   - lv3 -> SA
   - lv4 -> Scout
   - lv5 -> SA
   - lv6 -> Starfall
   - lv7 -> TA
   - lv8 -> TA
   - lv9 -> TA
   - lv10-> Scout
   Description: SA will be stressed to quickly take advantage of its
   powerstrike. As long as you keep your mana in its peak there would be no
   serious delay in your harrassment strategy. Yep, you can still use this
   build to harass due to Scout skill. Basically strategy #1 and #2 do
   not have too much difference except the former is stronger for your army but
   weaker for your hero while the latter is the opposite.

3. Searing Arrows, Trueshot Aura (Slayer)
   - lv1 -> TA
   - lv2 -> SA
   - lv3 -> SA
   - lv4 -> TA
   - lv5 -> TA
   - lv6 -> Starfall
   - lv7 -> SA
   - lv8 -> Scout
   - lv9 -> Scout
   - lv10-> Scout
   Description: The most powerful build if compared with the two builds above,
   but can be spammed or abused at your will since you don't have to worry to
   cast Scout, so keep autocasting Searing Arrow. This can deal good chunk of
   damage in battle, but try to keep her away and don't let focus fire comes to
   your PotM.

You should choose Starfall at lv 6 / 7

Conclusion:
----------

Her skills are pretty good, many combinations can be used to find different
play sytles. But still that would requires practice and patience for you to
master this hero mainly her positioning and movement.

+========+====================================================================+

Here I go, analyzing every aspect of PotM as usual...

Analysis:
---------

- (Str gain) 35-18= 17. Uh, do you wish to me for praise her because of her
worthless physical body? Yea, neither I nor you would want to. Anyway she
still has an advantages due to her superior acquisition range but you'll
desperately need Health Potion and Invulnerable Potion to keep her at battle,
or some health tomes would help her IMMENSELY if you're lucky enough.

- (Agi gain) 32-19= 13. What? 13 points? Even KotG can perform better in this
area. Picking an Agility type but doesn't have enough points to improve its own
ability, that's laughable. This proves a point that PotM is the slowest
developing hero in Night Elf's altar.

- (Int gain) 38-15= 23. Well, at least she has advantage over her int gain
mainly because she can spam her Searing Arrows without worry about run out of
mana. High Int also allows her to cast Starfall easily.

- (Health) As you can see, she has barely 975 health points at level 10, very
different even when compared to the two weakest NE heroes, Warden or KotG.
Demon Hunter has Metamorphosis spell that allows him to gains another 500 hit
points while Warden doesn't have such skill but she also have rather high armor
and hit points. KotG, which is cosidered the most weakest NE hero physically
has upper hand because of his Entangling Roots that allow him to escape the
dangerous situation.

- (Mana) She has quite adequate amount of Mana. But it won't hurt to improve
this part by using potions or +stat point items.

- (Damage) Pathetic attack speed so don't rely too much on her attacks...but
her physical attack can be improved by her Arrows and Trueshot Aura.

- (Armor) ....For a ranged hero, her armor is somewhat decent, but you cannot
rely on her physical attributes so it'd be best for you to carry some rings
/armor enhancement rings.

Conclusion:
----------

She has bad final stats with the worst beginning stats and nothing you can do
except trying to improve her by some decent equipment. Also her nature doesn't
allow her to fight hand to hand with MANY heroes in Warcraft 3, a bit hypocryte
but this hero perhaps the weakest hero in Night Elf altar.

-----------------------------------------
[9d]. Priestess of the Moon's Weak points
-----------------------------------------

PotM, like the other NE's female hero, Warden, has way tooooo many weaknesses.
Similar to Warden but with even worse weak points because she isn't physically
as strong as Warden is.

- She must not nuked. Do so will crush your PotM.
        *) Orc's Nuke : Chain Lightning and Shockwave
           Description : If you take these two spells directly, guaranteed
                              that your PotM will have her life points
                              reduced considerably. Use invis pot or Anti Magic
                              Potion will prevent this.

- She must not be focus-fired. Low HP and Armor make her very vulnerable to
  this attack type.

- Don't let her being caught by Net or Roots. This will lead to Focus Fire
  attack type and ultimately to nukes.

- Avoid Curse spell (Banshee), that will weaken her severely. Use Dryads'
  Abolish Magic to dispel the effect.

- Avoid Slow spell (Sorceress), that will weaken her severely. Use Dryads'
  Abolish Magic to dispel the effect.

- Don't try to beat melee heroes one by one, you can't even hurt him/her hard
  enough due to your slow attack speed and weak attack power EVEN with Trueshot
  Aura and Searing Arrows enabled.

- Demon Hunter! His Mana Burn is annoying, besides he is much much stronger
  than W arden (physically). But quite different from Warden, PotM can still
  relies with her Aura so you might still beat him unlike Warden.

- Blademaster's Critical Strike.

- Any hero with 'summon' skill (ex: Beastmaster or Far Seer) can destroys low-
  level PotM, even if you are able to kill the hero, your PotM would be
  severely damaged.

-------------------------------------------
[9e]. Priestess of the Moon's Strong points
-------------------------------------------

She does not have weakness only, of course. She also has some decent advantages
over another heroes, be not disheartened, folks!

+ Shadowmeld! you can place an ambush using this skill. Of course it will
require patience and skill. But worth to try.

+ Fast movement speed, this what you need to pursue and kill most of enemy
units, unless you engage them directly in open combat.

+ Great minor and normal units slayer. She can beat off a weak unit like Priest
or Banshee with little difficulty because there's no need for her to come
nearer and get focus fire. Why? because of her superior acquisition range of
course, since with it she can take position and aim freely.

+ Her Trueshot Aura has added value in her skill set because she herself is
affected by it, and in TEAM BATTLES this one is the most useful skill for
powering up your armies together.

+ Have 'Owl Scout' Skill, which allows her to scout her enemies easily, and I
mean 'easily' seriously. Owl is the best scouting skill in this game,
especially if added with Hutress' Owl. You can make an ambush and surprise
attack as often as you want because you are more prepared than your enemy.

+ Very compatible with Mass Muntresses strategy due to her Trueshot Aura and
Searing Arrows, or even better if you can amass Dryads as well.

+ Her ultimate is decent, possibly the best AoE damage dealer spell for Night
Elf.

-----------------------------------
[9f]. Priestess of the Moon's Items
-----------------------------------

PotM also need items and consumables to help perform better in battlefield. If
Demon Hunter which is considered as Night Elf's strongest hero needs item, why
should PotM otherwise?

Consumables:
-----------

- Scroll of Town Portal
  Undoubtely the most useful item in this game. You can transport
  back to your main town simply by double clicking the scroll's portrait.

- Healing Potion
  Sold cheaply for 150 gold. Buy one of this item will improve your PotM's
  survivalability greatly.

- Greater Healing Potion
  (same as Healing Potion)

- Invulnerable Potion
  You can use this item to take a breath temporarily and thus reposition
  yourself if you're under focus fire. We'll need her as long as she can so
  there's no need to tank all the damage by yourself, this where Invul Potion
  comes in handy. But sadly, casting Starfall DOES remove invulnerable effect.

- Scroll of Protection
  Useful in battles, sold at shop. +2 armor in AoE is virtually nice since you
  can improve your units armor temporarily and help you r army turn the tide.
  You can use this item for Mass Huntresses or Mass Archers battle.

- Scroll of Healing
  Pretty damn nice for mass healing, especially when you run out of your
  moonwells' mana. Best used to Mass Huntress tactic since you won't have any
  healer except your moonwells.

Useless consumables:
--------------------

- Clarity Potion
  This cheap item have helped me much in the past, regains 100 mana unless hit
  by another units. But you won't need this item anyway, chance that you won't
  deplete your mana pool unless you keep spamming her Searing Arrows. If
  you do so, it'd be better to carry Mana Potion.

- Mana Potion
  Unless you don't plan to use her spell, you'll most likely need this potion
  to keep her spamming her spells.

You don't need those two items above. Just stick with the previous entries and
some decent equipments (see below).

Equipments:
----------

- Staff of Preservation
  Most Night Elf players will bring this thingy, even just one. This staff can
  be your dear saviour, especially to s ave hero and bears. Since PotM only
  need little micro (unlike Lich or Archmage, for example), you can concentrate
  your energy to preserve your units.

- Boots of Speed
  Well, if you have enough gold, please buy this item. She will need this
  badly because she has no killer spell like Shadow Strike or Entangling Roots.
  You'll need this item to catch with your opponent's speed and massacre them
  from behind.

  Mana enchancements are needed to spam her SA.

- Staff of Silence
  You might want to keep this to silence those spellcasters and heroes' spells
  temporarily.

- Talisman of Evasion
  Unlike DH who doesn't need this item, having one at your inventory could be
  proven very valuable if you want your PotM to fight in front line as long
  as possible. But this item is rather rare, more's the pity.

- Any Aura-related equips
  ex: The Lion Horn of Stormwind, Scourge Bone Chimes, Legion Doom-Horn,
  Khadgar's Pipe of Insight, Ancient Janggo of Endurance, Alleria's Flute of
  Accuracy.

Useless equipments:
-------------------

- Any Orb
  Particularly useful to hit that air unit. But she's already ranged hero and
  have attachment in her arrow (Searing Arrows) so there's no need to bring
  this item also.

[9g]. Priestess of the Moon's Threats and Preys
-----------------------------------------------

Blew it, lets see her opponents one by one, as usual :P It took a long time for
me to create this section for our beloved ..... err no our damned Priestess of
the Moon...

Bad against:
------------

- Demon Hunter
  His main skill is Mana Burn and Evasion, which are quite annoying but won't
  hurt you severely but at lv 3 Mana Burn will take most of your mana
  away (150 points). He also has insane Evasion, which allows him to avoid
  PotM's physical attacks and since you rely on her arrows, this skill would be
  your worst hindrance and nothing you can do to stop it. While his ultimate
  can crush his opponents to mincemeat, true....Metamorphosis is unbeatable.
  Well folks, at lv 10 he can beat down Blademaster (also lv 10 of course :P )
  like no tomorrow, so how can you expect anymore from PotM?
  Difficulty: 10/10

- Death Knight (Undead)
  You cannot engage him alone, instead pick up Huntress, two or three, and
  start attacking him. Be careful if you go creeping though, because he can
  easily harass you and steal your precious experience. SA works best, or you
  could pick up Scout and watch his movement while creeping/ expanding. As long
  as you're not creepjacked or ambushed, you can deny his progress easily. Just
  beware of his Coils and Unholy Aura while microing your dying units (or your
  Priestess :/ ) as with them he can easily kill your units.
  Difficulty: 9/10

- Tauren Chieftain (Orc)
  Huh? Trying to beat him away with your PotM only? Are you joking? Watch him
  from distance and try to attack whenever possible. Remember, Shockwave and
  War Stomp Combo are terrible ones.....
  Difficulty: 7.5/10

- Blademaster (Orc)
  First of all, handle and beat his Windwalk first. He fits to be placed as
  first hero and for harassing (Wind Walk). As long as you buy Dust of
  Appearance at the beginning of the game, you should be fine. Don't let him
  kills your wisps and avoid direct battle with him (one by one, because he has
  Critical Strike) until you gain enough level to survive few of his attacks.
  His ultimate is not counted....easily avoided, so Focus fire and try to
  surround him when he runs out his mana :x don't ever try to surround him with
  decent amount of mana remaining, chance that you can't even surround him as
  he flies with ...Wind Walk :P
  Difficulty: 8/10

- Mountain King
  Watch out his spells, best to bring some healing potions here in case he will
  nuke your PotM. Focus fire him and autocast Sering Arrow would do. But be
  prepared for a long fight due to his HIGH HP and insane durability, and don't
  engage him directly with your Priestess as she's not made for direct combat,
  :P instead watch him from distance and try to attack whenever possible.
  Remember, Storm Bolt and War Stomp Combo are terrible ones.....
  Difficulty: 7.5/10

- Pandaren (Neutral)
  Bah! I've seen a replay where a decent NE player got destroyed single
  handedly when he was using PotM against Panda. This can be seen easily at lv
  6 heroes' duel where Priestess can do nothing, absolutely nothing against
  Panda's ultimate. Try to keep your distance from him while continually
  hitting him with your SA.
  Difficulty: 10/10

Prolly against:
---------------

Any strength hero is a decent foe for PotM (and also some agility heroes).

- Dreadlord (Undead)
  Very terrible opponent due to his sleep and surround tactics. Best to avoid
  at early game and build your troops quickly. Few Huntresses will keep him and
  his ghoul army at bay. Spam SA as much as you can before dealing with his
  army. Be sure to pick some TP to avoid getting killed with surround tactic.
  Difficulty: 7/10

- Lich (Undead)
  I put Lich here because of his exceptional Frost Nova and Dark Ritual. He may
  easily spamming Nova due to his mana recovery and supported by Ritual. These
  two spells are deadly combination, and even more deadly if he has Death Coil
  for DK. Be prepared to put some countermeasure, ex: Anti Magic Potion is used
  as soon as you enter the battle with Lich inside. Be wary however, if he uses
  Frost Armor, you might strike him with less damage since absorbs your attack
  with his armor, better to strike his units first, but you can still cast
  Searing Arrows continously and gain upper hand for he's an intelligence hero
  and does not have high HP.
  Difficulty: 7/10

- Crypt Lord (Undead)
  I hate his impale. Even the effects usually wear off in a second, but since
  his spell is used only to hold PotM temporarily (part of the Undead's Tri
  Nuke) I find it difficult to avoid this spell without item support. So avoid
  direct hit from his attacks and spells. Continous strikes from SA should help
  weaken his HP.
  Difficulty: 6.5/10

- Archmage (Human)
  Only his Water Elemental that counts, the rest of his spells are useless
  against PotM. Activate SA and focus fire im would do.
  Difficulty: 6.5/10

- Paladin (Human)
  He has Divine Shield and Devotion Aura, also with decent HP. Beat him before
  he reaches high level hero, since you will find only trouble due to his
  shield and ultimate (Resurrection).
  Difficulty: 7/10

- Pit Lord (Undead, Neutral)
  Mmmmmmmmm, it won't take a long time to beat this hero, just patience needed
  because like another str heroes, he has high HP.
  Difficulty: 7/10

- Dark Ranger (Undead, Neutral)
  Ah, her minions are trouble especially if she have huge numbers of them, stay
  out till her skellys are down. Silence and Health Drain are not serious as
  she doesn't need to cast spells that badly, SA her to kill her easily. Just
  be careful if you want to cast Starfall :), remember her Silence.
  Difficulty: 7/10

- Firelord (Neutral)
  Firelord usually used as second hero and thus placed on low - level hero. No
  real threat from his spells, except Lava Spawn (Summon spell, not hard but
  annoying). His Lava Burn and Incinerate do not considered as a threat for me,
  as well as his ultimate. You can try either focus fire or surround tactic,
  but the latter is quite hard to do because he's also ranged hero.
  Difficulty: 7/10

- Beastmaster (Neutral)
  Don't engage his summons, doing so may injure your PotM severely. But don't
  engage their masters hand-to-hand also, you can do hit-and-run tactic if
  possible because your acquisition range should enable you to do this trick.
  Difficulty: 7.5/10

- Warden (Night Elf)
  You have better fire-raneg so use it to your advantage. She can reach you via
  Shadow Strike only if you keep a good distance from her. Anyway, if you do
  meet him then you're doing Night Elf Mirror so you could always use
  Huntresses to keep her at bay while you dealing SA damage to her. She'll down
  after ten shots or so, not so hard.
  Difficulty: 7.5/10

Good against:
-------------

- Far Seer (Orc)
  Don't engage his wolves, instead use wisp to kill them (detonate) while you
  focus your attention to Far Seer. Most Orc player will use Far Seer as first
  hero because of his superior creeping skills (due to wolves). SA works best
  for him since he does not possess tanker skills like Tauren Chieftain, use
  Blink to chase him if he runs away. But best to avoid his Chain Lightning,
  it hurts...
  Difficulty: 6.5/10

- Shadow Hunter (Orc)
  His Healing Wave and Hex are the most annoying parts. He can heals his
  wounded units and Hex your Warden. While using Hex, decent orc players
  usually surround your PotM with Speed Scroll and forces you to Tp-ing, but
  this doesn't be considered as a big deal if you have TP. He has slow movement
  and attacking speed, also low HP and useless ultimate.
  Difficulty: 5/10

- Keeper of the Grove (Night Elf)
  Watch out his Entagling Roots, while his Treants should be dealt with your
  troops not your Warden. Buy Health Potion when facing this hero, his Thorns
  Aura is hurt. But he usually isn't used as first hero, especially in NE
  mirror, so you won't see him high-leveled enough to trouble your PotM.
  Difficulty: 5.5/10

- Blood Mage (Human)
  Okay, this is the most pathetic hero ever exist..... :P His Flame Pillars
  does decent damage, but slow animation and slow casting time makes it easily
  avoided. His Siphon Mana and Banish don't help him much, also he have rather
  low HP, so SA can kill this guy easily.
  Difficulty: 4/10

- Alchemist (Neutral)
  Healing Spray, Acid Bomb, Chemical Rage and Transmute....are not seen as
  powerful spells for me. But his primary attribute is str, that what makes him
  rather difficult to kill. SA works wonder for this guy. Be wary however
  , usually this hero is used as a support only not main hero, so if there's
  another heroes in battle deal with them first!
  Difficulty: 5/10

- Tinker (Neutral)
  His Pocket Factory is a decent spell so as his ultimate (Robo-Goblin). But
  he's an int hero, so low HP is his friend. take him down quickly before he
  gains a level.
  Difficulty: 5/10

- Naga Sea Witch (Neutral)
  This hero is awesome to become Warden's partner, but if you meet her as an
  opponent, blast her with SA. She will die pretty quickly. It's true
  that she possesses Mana Shield, but most WC3 players ignore this skill and
  get Cold Arrows and Fork Ligtning, so you can safely nuke her without any
  real resistance (except items, of course xD )
  Difficulty: 5.5/10

[9h]. Priestess of the Moon's Maps Analysis
-------------------------------------------

Most of PotM player will only use at certain maps OR in NE mirror only, so
these map list will be rather different than another NE hero's map as she's
cannot be used properly at certain maps which isn't suited to her.

- Lost Temple, Avalanche, Twisted Meadow, Turtle Rock
  Those maps usually used for teamgames, and this is where PotM really shines.
  You can expand and harass quickly with Mass Huntresses strategy which is
  incredibly useful because they can be created at lv 1 town hall and Hunter's
  Hall. Learn Trueshot Aura for sure! You can get upper hand even with small
  increased attack power. The maps above have expansion goldmine, so you can
  always stick to early expo strategy.

[10]. Compatibility                                                      [COMP]
===============================================================================

Wew, at first I didn't even think this part/section would be this huge. I
basically wrote every possible situations down as I play through the game
repeatedly and finally, I placed this part in its own section.

These tables (I hope this is the LAST table part for this FAQ) describe the
compatibility for each hero, whether he/she is worthy enough to be trained as
1st, 2nd or 3rd hero or not in ALL maps (average) and also for different
occasions and events such as for team battle and tavern teammate. This section
is affected greatly with my playstyle and experience though some of these
informations are no 100% correct but these can be used as a basis of your game.

NOTE: - (Name Convention)
      WD= Warden,
      PotM= Priestess of the Moon,
      DH= Demon Hunter,
      KotG= Keeper of the Grove,
      NS= Naga Sea Witch,
      TK= Tinker,
      DR= Dark Ranger,
      FL- Firelord,
      BMT= Beastmaster,
      ALC= Alchemist,
      PD= Panda.

      - (Score Convention)
      A= Good,
      B= Average,
      C= Bad.

      - This table is dynamically changed. For example, if you meet DH while
      you use Warden as your first hero, then the score would be changed
      to 'C' instantly. So this table only shows the most common situation,
      you can pick different score each time, based from your enemy's and your
      ally's power. Also don't forget, this is based from my knowledge so
      don't flame.

Don't say I didn't remind you..... However if you somehow get confused, there's
always 'Glossary' section at hand. :D

In order of training table:
---------------------------

* First hero means you choose that hero as your first choice, second hero means
you choose that hero as your second choice, and third hero means you choose
that hero as your third choice regardless your other heroes at that game.

+------+-------------+---------------+--------------+
| Hero | First Hero  |  Second Hero  |  Third Hero  |
+------+-------------+---------------+--------------+
| WD   |      A      |      C        |       C      |
+------+-------------+---------------+--------------+
| PotM |      B      |      B        |       B      |
+------+-------------+---------------+--------------+
| DH   |      A      |      A        |       C      |
+------+-------------+---------------+--------------+
| KotG |      C      |      A        |       A      |
+------+-------------+---------------+--------------+

Analysis:
---------

- Warden:
  *) As first hero, she is dependable at different challenges and occasions.
However she is somewhat limited due to her rather weak physical attributes and
also because she relies heavily on her spells. If you use her as first hero
however, you must pick your skills build carefully because some setup may not
work in some situations. For example for Mass Gargoyles and Mass Spellcaster
strategies, it would be better if you choose Extreme Nuke or AoE Abuse skill
buld rather than Hero Hunter because you'll need multiple target to be dealt
with. Most of Warden's user wrongly pick her skill build and end up in defeat,
and the next time they play Warcraft again they will say "she's sucks, don't
use her!". This remark is totally wrong, don't despise her because of her
appearance only for I've seen some Warcraft III pros destroyed their opponents
by using single Warden only.
  *) As second hero, she perhaps cannot be leveled up high enough to make her
as a shield due to your first hero (DH perhaps). High leveled Warden causes
huge causalities by her Fan of Knives and Shadow Strike, but if you can't level
her up, she only becomes your burden except in some circumtances for example:
Mass Air or Mass Melee units. Try to not use her as second her if possible.
  *) As third hero, don't ever try it. Chance that you will only waste money
and food limit.

- Demon Hunter:
  *) As first hero, he's a good harasser, nice tanker and strong damage dealer.
Once you've adopted his style, you'll be unstoppable. If your opponent relies
too much on melee units, you should use him as your first because Night Elf
lacks in meatshield (except Bears and Mountain Giant) mainly because of his
Evasion and good armors. If your opponent's massing air unit, buy an Orb
immediately because he's also good at destroying air units due to their weak
hit points and DH's insane attack speed. The only minus point in using this
hero as your first hero is that he lacks killer spell so you might be unable to
kill that one-last hit unit... (example: orc's peon who's hiding at his burrow
before you hit him with your physical attack with one hit left...)
  *) As second hero, Quite good but you'll need to level him up quickly because
we need his Evasion and Mana Burn ASAP. Tou should know who's your first hero
that is capable to hold out your base until you can train him. Night Elf has
very good speed at teching BUT lacks meatshield. So if you get overwhelmed
vefore you can train him, basically you're screwed....
  *) As third hero, better not to train him as your third hero unless you have
a good reason to.

- Keeper of the Grove:
  *) As first hero, harassing your opponent's peons/ workers and kill one or
two would be a good start since you can always go back to replenish your mana.
However before picking him up, see whether your opponent use DH or BM or not,
if yes, then you should refrain from using him. Quite a good hero when used
with Huntresses + Glaive Throwers for quick victory.
  *) As second hero, Very powerful as supporter. Since probably you'd use Demon
Hunter or Warden as your first hero, this guy could cover as an important asset
for your team.
  *) As third hero, Unlike another Night Elf heroes, this guy is very damn
compatible as a supporter. His abilities are really useful when used as
disabler.

- Priestess of the Moon:
  *) As first hero, when used in teamgames, she really shines in terms of
teamwork. Her abilities such as Scout and Trueshot Aura are powerful arsenal.
If she's leveled up high enough and able to hit Ultimate Spell, Starfall,
practically she's insane if your opponents cannot stop channeling spell.
  *) As second hero, quite nice supporter because of her aura and Searing
Arrow. You could use her if you rely on ranged units such as dryads. Even at lv
1 , Trueshot Aura is so damn powerful.
  *) As third hero, same as the explanation above.

Analysis:
---------

- Warden:
  * Solo: Extremely decent when working alone (except against few heroes).
  * Tag : Quite good when she's paired with COMPATIBLE partner.
  * Team: Bad, avoid this etup unless you're a gosu at WC3. :D

- Demon Hunter:
  * Solo: Extremely decent when working alone (except against few heroes).
  * Tag : Still decent as he was. :P
  * Team: -.- still good as he was (again).

- Priestess of the Moon:
  * Solo: Good decent when working alone (except against few heroes).
  * Tag : Good as supporter. With nice aura and some nifty spells.
  * Team: Good as supporter. With nice aura and some nifty spells.

- Keeper of the Grove:
  * Solo: Bad when he's a soloer.
  * Tag : Good as supporter. With nice aura and some nifty spells.
  * Team: Undependable.

Compatibility with Tavern heroes table:
---------------------------------------

* This table assumes you choose your hero as FIRST hero. The purpose is to show
you these heroes' compatibilty as your second or third hero choice.

+------+------+------+------+------+-------+-------+-------+
| Hero |  NS  |  TK  |  DR  |  FL  |  BMT  |  ALC  |  PD   |

| KotG |  C   |  C   |   B  |   B  |   B   |   C   |   A   |
+------+------+------+------+------+-------+-------+-------+

Analysis:
---------

Lets take a look at the table above. You can see Panda's scores which are (with
its respective partner as listed) A, A, A, A (Wd, PotM, DH, KotG). It means
that Panda sure has the highest compatibility with NE's heroes due to his
natural skills, Drunken Haze and Breath of Fire which are useful at ALMOST
every occasions. But the case is very different with Alchemist (ALC) You can
see Alchemist's scores which are ,with its respective partner as listed, C, C,
C, C (Wd, PotM, DH, KotG). It means that Alchemist has the lowest compatibility
with NE's heroes due to his natural skills, Healing Spray, Acid Bombs and
Chemical Rage which do not have any synergy with another NE heroes spells.
Picking a partner from Tavern is rather conservative playstyle but it will make
your strategy is more difficult to read by your opponents. Please also note
that this table can only be used in certain maps with tavern building enabled,
so don't use this table at Lost Temple....

With this table also, we can see that PotM who is considered awful in solo, has
decent compatibility with Tavern Heroes, because some of them is ranged hero
(Drow Ranger, Firelord and Naga Sea) so Trueshot Aura renders practically
useful while in return, Firelord and Drow Ranger gives PotM a good meatshield,
as for their summons -Lava Spawn and Skeletons- can be spawned indefinitely.

This choice is entirely up to you, but seriously you'll need tons of experience
and experiments to know which Tavern Heroes t hat are best to be tagged with
your NE hero.

Heroes compatibility to be used for creeping:
---------------------------------------------

* This table assumes you use your hero to creeping. The purpose is to show
you these heroes compatibility to be used for creeping (solo) at the early
game or later game -with necessary units to help him/ her of course- , just use
this table when you go creeping no matter when or where. Creeping is essential
to make your hero stronger and for collecting useful items and equipments as
for some situations you cannot get certain items at shop, only from creep. I
split the creep's stat at three level, green camp, yellow camp and red camp.
Green Camp is consisted with weak units like gnoll and forest trapper, Yellow
Camp contains stronger and higher level of creeps like berserker troll, Red
Camp is consisted with strongest units like Dragons.

+--------+---------+---------+---------+
| Hero   |  Green  |  Yellow |   Red   |
+--------+---------+---------+---------+
| WD     |    A    |    A    |    B    |
+--------+---------+---------+---------+
| PotM   |    B    |    B    |    C    |
+--------+---------+---------+---------+
| DH     |    A    |    A    |    A    |
+--------+---------+---------+---------+
| KotG   |    B    |    B    |    C    |
+--------+---------+---------+---------+

Analysis:
---------

- Warden:
  * Picking Warden isn't bad idea. But she requires even more practice than DH
who is physically stronger and harder. You may need some more precaution as she
dies pretty quickly as tanker in front of creeps though. Don't forget that
she's melee hero thus she couldn't beat air units without Orbs , she's
quite balanced and strong, just don't spam her spell needlessly for creeping.

- Demon Hunter:
  * Perhaps this is the most balanced hero ever made. His durability is
dependable, and his skills can be pulled out effectively at creeping. Except a
fact that he's melee hero (thus he couldn't beat air units without Orbs), he's
extremely balanced and strong.

- Keeper of the Grove:
  * Rather lacking creeping power, at least. You could use him as tanker but
don't take excessive damage since he dies quickly from focus fire due to his
pathetic Health Points. Still, his aura can be very useful for attacking melee
creeps. Try not to overuse is ER for creeping as he's VERY very mana dependant.
If you spend all of your mana on creeping, what can he do next?

- Priestess of the Moon:
  * Nah, comparable to Keeper of the Grove. Not much here to be said. But you
can have some advantages from her Trueshot Aura which is always active. Also,
SA can always be used for creeping, unlike ER. Her armor is higher than KotG so
you can use her as tanker quite a bit.

Conclusion:
-----------

Night Elf heroes have high compatibility with each others, meaning that each
hero covers other heroes weakness. You must pick and choose your hero based on
the situations, try not to be ruled by your opponent. The table above should be
able to give you brief introduction about this.

I'm trying to describe this area at the best of my knowledge, if you have
suggestions or comments to help me improve this section, drop me an email :D

===============================================================================

Well, some of you perhaps, have common questions about this FAQ and the Author,
so I decide to put this section here. You have to thank her to this convenience
, and thus save your precious time for emailing her. :P

(FAQ RELATED QUESTIONS)
-----------------------

1) Why is this Characters' FAQ, why don't you write for walkthrough?

Answer: Simple, I've seen several walkthrough hanging around GameFAQs' FAQs &
Guide Section (Warcraft 3 TFT) and didn't bother to add another one. But when
I was trying to find a good strategy for Night Elf heroes, I couldn't find any.
Yes, there are Night Elf Strategy Guides floating around, two in fact, but they
do not contain ANY strategy for heroes especially Night Elf heroes. Soooooooo,
why don't I try to pick this area and write one complete FAQ? Beside that, as
for me, I find so much fun writing in-depth FAQ than Walkthrough, because I
don't have time to write the said FAQ while play the game itself at the
same time....

2) Do you intend to update this FAQ?

Answer: Yes, technically. Unlike other games which tend to have similar
'passion' from time to time, Warcraft 3 offers good gameplay and depth amount
of knowledge. They may be changed in the future because the developers
(Blizzard Entertainment) are always releasing new pacthes at some point, either
to fix the bugs ,ironic, isn't it? or to fix balance issues, so I have to
update this FAQ to reflect the changes.

3) Why Night Elf Heroes FAQ and not other races' heroes FAQ?

Answer: Night Elf is my favourite race thus far, and so I wish to dedicate some
of my time to write a FAQ as a return for them xD Besides, I've played Night
Elf for hundred of hours, far more longer than another race....But lately, I'm
also thinking about writing a FAQ for Orc, Human, and Undead heroes. You may
expect it if I'm not that busy :P soon.

4) I have different opinions than yours which are written above. Can I tell
you mine?

Answer: Gladly. Send me an email, if I find your opinions are valuable I could
post them here, the credits still belong to you. But seriously, emailing me
about junk opinions, flames and false informations will get you trouble. Don't
bother to try it! The information above are written based on my knowledge ,I
shamelessly call it as 'skill', so don't try to argue with mine. We have
different opinions that can't be avoided, but try to respect each others. I
,however, will post yours here even if your opinion is different than mine as
long as it has some good values inside it. Promised!

5) I want to suggest new section(s) for this FAQ!

Answer: Sure. Refer to my #4 answer for details.

6) Can you give me a Night Elf strategy guide in this FAQ?

Answer: Definitely no. I only cover about their heroes stats, analysis and
strategies not the units and the buildings. Look at my #1 question for details.

7) 'I've seen this FAQ is hosted somewhere else!' + 'Someone in GameFAQs is
plagiarizing your FAQ!'

Answer: Please send me an email, supplying the exact URLs as well. I'll take
legal action soon. The only websites which are allowed to host my FAQ are
listed in 'Legal Stuff' section and if another writer on GameFAQs steal my work
in their FAQ, I'll tell CJayC and let him handle it. That and that alone for
I've put LOTS of hours in my life to write this FAQ, enough said!

8) May I use your ASCII Art in this FAQ?

Answer: No, and don't bother to ask. I created that ASCII for my own FAQs and
no one may use them. Can't you see a line of words after that ASCII title? O.o

9) May I host this FAQ in my site?

Answer: This has been answered in my 'Legal Stuff' section, but I'll tell you
once again... you may host this FAQ as long as you ask my consent first and do
not alter ANYTHING in this FAQ. You must supply your website URLs (non profit
URL type) as well so I may check your site. Additionally, you also must check
GameFAQs periodically to see the newest version of this FAQ and replace the old
one in your site. Failing to do so and I have the right to ask you ANYTIME to
remove my FAQ from your site. I've worked so hard just to make this FAQ and
don't want to be ripped off by those noobs outside...

(GAME RELATED QUESTIONS)
------------------------

10) Are Night Elf heroes the strongest heroes in Warcraft III realm?

Answer: Depends. The game's engine is made in such system so each races have
strengths and weaknesses. You can try each races so you may answer this by
yourself. Lee also pointed this out on his mails, see them here -> [THANKS].

10b) So, who's Night Elf strongest hero?

Answer: I'd point to Demon Hunter. He's physically strong, and once he hits his
ultimate practically he's unstoppable. I saw some insane players beaten their
opponents using single Demon Hunter, in fact they blasted their WHOLE opponent
army using Demon Hunter with Metamorphosis spell only..... Nasty, eh? Honestly,
I like him but not as my first choice. He WAS my choice at Reign of Chaos but
since Warden came and slices up her opponent like no tomorrow...

10c) THEN, if you were asked to pick a team, which heroes would you choose?

Answer: I'd go with Demon Hunter/ Warden as my first hero (depending on my
opponents' style) and pick Naga Sea Witch (Neutral hero) as my second. Either
combination (Demon Hunter + Naga Sea Witch or Warden + Naga Sea Witch) are
deadly. Except for some rare situations, like Night Elf Mirror, for example,
where I'd stick with Priestess of the Moon or Pandaren as my first. As for the
combinations for heroes/troops,I've added new question as listed on my #19 FAQ.

11) You mentioned 'patch 1.21' in your 'About' section. What is it exactly?

Answer: Patch is a small program that developers released in order to bring
enhancements for their program. The effects can be felt as soon as the patch is
applied. 1.21 is the latest patch for Warcraft 3 TFT for now and if you want
to play this game online, you should get this patch for sure....Oh, and don't
send the game bugs or game compatibility problems to me, I'm not Technical
Support girl... To know the version of the patch you're currently running on,
open up your Warcraft III installation folder and locate 'patch.txt', open it
with notepad/wordpad and you can see something similar like this (if you can,
then you're running the _latest_ version.):

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
  WARCRAFT III: THE FROZEN THRONE VERSION HISTORY
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Patch 1.21
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

FEATURES

- The game now runs natively on both PowerPC-based and Intel-based Macs.
- Player can now view frames per second using the "/fps" chat command.

FIXES

- Fixed a timing problem with the game on PCs with dual-core CPUs.
- Fixed a crash that could occur with the Frost Breath ability.
- Fixed a crash that could happen in multiplayer games.
- Fixed an exploit that could happen in multiplayer games.

Important Note on Patching for Mac Players: The file layout inside the
game folder is changed significantly by Patch 1.21. As a result, in order
to be able to install the Frozen Throne expansion from CD, you must
install Reign of Chaos first, then install Frozen Throne from CD, and then
patch to version 1.21, in that order. If you patch to v1.21 and then
attempt to install Frozen Throne after that, it will not install correctly.

MAPS

- New maps:

_______________________________________________________________________________

Note: Blizzard may release a new patch in the future, who knows when...it's up
to their decision. And till now patches are usually used to fix in-game bugs,
exploits and balance fixes but perhaps may have different function in the
future. The newest patch, unfortunately, is quite a big download for dial-up
users, including me ;_; , about 50 + Mb. It took me 3 consecutive hours to
download the patch using my worthless internet connection....

12) I can't install the patch CORRECTLY! It says "reinstalling the game" or
something similar like that.
Answer: WARNING, I'm SICK looking at several people at GameFAQs message board
asking the same question again and again so I'll post this question here to
help you out :P

Here's how to solve the problem!

Please take a look at the detailed error information FIRST! If it's similar as
the sentence problem, take a good breath of relief and smile :D

_______________________________________________________________________________

"An error has occured preparing the patch. This problem can commonly be
corrected by reinstalling the game and trying to update again. If this error
repeats then contact Blizzard Technical Support.

Please press 'OK' to exit or press 'Show Details' to see more information about
the error."

NOTE:
+If you press "Show Details >>" button you will see this message--------------v

"Blizzard PrePatch v2.70 compiled on Jul 7 2003
This program patches Warcraft 3

Log created at 7:39 am on 11/28/2006

Registry error loading key 'Warcraft III\InstallPath'
The system cannot find the file specified.

RESULT: Prepatch failed"
_______________________________________________________________________________

How to fix this problem (step by step solutions):
- Backup your valuable save games, maps and replays first.
- Delete that Warcraft 3 folder entirely.
- Reinstall Warcraft 3 now along with the Frozen Throne.
- Use that patch again.
- Restore your backup-ed save games, maps and replays.

Now there should be NO error message as it was if you follow these steps
correctly. AND for your reference you must NEVER copy the game from one
location from another as this move will not register the game correctly into
Windows registry so the same problem will occur in the future if you do....

12b) I can't install the patch CORRECTLY! It says "corrupted program file" or
something similar like that.

Answer: The pacth you've downloaded is corrupted, perhaps it was cause by slow
internet connection and you didn't use Download Manager.

How to fix this problem:
- Use better internet connection OR
- Use download manager.

NOTE: I experienced this once but forgot to copy the detailed error message and
so failed to post the exact message here, if you have one please let me know :D

12c) I can't install the patch CORRECTLY! It says "checksum error" or
something similar like that.

Answer: You're using PIRATED COPY of Warcraft 3 (cracked version) OR you're
trying to apply lower version of Warcraft 3 patch. -.-

How to fix 'Pirated Copy' problem:
- BUY the original version you little maggot!

NOTE: THIS IS caused by PIRATED copy of Warcraft 3 so I will NOT post detailed
error message here though I have that error message in my assessment.

*ahem* and so here's the second issue....

How to fix 'checksum error' problem caused by wrong patch version:
- Always download the latest version (1.20e for now) OR
- Use a built-in patch feature.

And below is the sample of error messages for this condition:

12d) Frozen Throne always crashes, but not on the same location!

Answer: Try unistalling and reinstalling the game fresh. Rebooting your
computer before playing. Also, updating your drivers generally is a good
idea, especially your VGA and Sound Card's driver. Lastly, you should check
whether your computer is overclocked or not.If yes, reduce the processor/memory
clock as listed on your manual. Scanning and defragmenting your drives are
usefull to help your computer performance.

Usually, steps above would be able to solve most common problems but in case
the crashes keep happening, you should check your Warcraft 3 CD. Try borrowing
your friend's CD and reinstall the game. If the problems seem subside, then it
could be your CD which is wrong. Return it and ask for replacement if possible.

12e) So, my game's laggy......

Answer: Warcraft 3 TFT runs fine on my 2.6 Ghz, 608 Mb RAM (+32 Mb onboard VGA)
, except some situations where I must put resolution on 800x600 to avoid lags
and delays. My system lacks VGA Card so that's why I need to lower the
resolution and graphic details. If you're experiencing a slowdown, you should
consider to add - RAM first, VGA second, Processor third.

.......I wish I had GeForce6800 Ultra.......

12f) Can I play this game without CDs?

Answer: Sure, the easiest but illegal way is to use No-CD Crack which can be
found easily on the net. The second way is to make an ISO of your original CD
and mount it to Virtual Drive like Daemon or Alcohol. Usually this done to
save the CDs from scratches and dusts.

13) What is 'Staff of Preservation'?

Answer: It's a Night Elf's unique staff, sold in racial shop for 150 gold. Can
be acquired after upgrading your Main Hall to second grade. Basically it allows
you to teleport your unit instantly to your highest level Main Hall, so mostly
it is used to save dying hero or unit. However, it also has cooldown which is
rather annoying because it takes a long time. BUT ironically, you can transfer
the Staff right away after it's been used by hero to another hero. Doing so
will reset the Staff's cooldown and you'll be able to use it right away! Sadly,
if you return the staff to the first hero, the cooldown is still there and you
must wait till it disappears. However, this staff is so powerful so as it's the
most hunted staff on teamgames with complex races, as far as I can see.

As a side note, the only thing which can match this staff's power is only that
Staff of Sanctuary (Human).

14) What is 'replay'?

Answer: Replay is a small piece of file (usually around 50-300 Kb for melee
replays, but I've seen some annoying DotA-Allstars replays around 2-3 Mb!)
which contains binary information. This binary information can only be read and
made by Warcraft III game engine. They are usually located in '(drive)\Warcraft
III\replay' folder (replace 'drive' with your Warcraft 3 installation path) and
can only be opened by respective pacth (you cannot open 1.19 patch with 1.20
patch). By using this, you can see another people replays without actually see
their game in-time! Thanks to Blizzard for this support, for many people gain
new tactics and knowledge by simply watching a replay and put what they've seen
into their own playstyle. Generally, watching a replay is recommended for both
beginners and advanced players. For a place where to download replay, please
see my 'Special Thanks' section.

14b) I've downloaded new replays and want too see it. How do I see those
replays?

Answer: Simple, put them on '(drive)\Warcraft III\replay' folder (replace
'drive' with your Warcraft 3 installation path). Play the game and choose
'Single Player'. Now you should be able to see 'Replay' tab. Use it to watch
your replays. :)

15) What are those 'maps' mean?

Answer: Maps (in this case, melee maps) are binary files that can only be
opened with Blizzard's World Editor (to edit the map) and by Warcraft 3's game
engine (to play the map). They are usually located in '(drive)\Warcraft III
\Maps' folder (replace 'drive' with your Warcraft 3 installation path). Each
map has different terrains, structures and unique placements. So in this FAQ, I
explain the strategy in each map with each Night Elf heroes to help you
encountering different tactics by your opponent.

15b) I've downloaded new maps and want to play them. How do I play those
maps?

Answer: Simple, put them on '(drive)\Warcraft III\maps' folder (replace
'drive' with your Warcraft 3 installation path). Play the game and choose
'Single Player' or LAN. Now you should be able to see 'Custom Games' tab. Use
it to play the maps you've downloaded. :) Several few maps I'd like to
recomend are DotA-Allstars, Night of the Dead and Master of Regions. Use Google
to find their website. :)

16) 'What is AMAI?' or 'What is JASS?'
Answer: See my 'Prerequisites' section. But it won't that hard to learn JASS
and Perl if you have (especially) C++ or Java programming background. I know
about this because I have VB (both 6.0 and .Net) and Java background so the
same is applied to you also. Also please also note that Warcraft most popular
map, DotA-Allstars (www.dota-allstars.com), is also programmed directly in JASS
as it has advantages over usual GUI trigger for example: can handle memory leak
and has more efficient trigger handle manner.

(CONTRIBUTED QUESTIONS)
-----------------------

17) Why did you choose NE instead other races?
Answer: Just typed this as a reply to one of my readers. :P My reasons are:
1. Undead were too nasty looking --;; Hey don't complain, it's my own view...
2. Human's heroes, back at Reign of Chaos, weren't cool and annoying. Do you
remember when Blizzard's Arch mage was abused badly on early Warcraft 3 days?
3. Orc were too brutal..... . Grunt rush was too effective and powerful against
almost EVERY races. Also, it's not fun to play with just Chain Wave combo.
4. Demon Hunter was just plain cool!!!

18) How should I control my heroes?

Answer: Try to harassing and creeping accordingly. If your hero is harassing
type, ex: Warden or PotM then go for it. Most Human players would go for
expansion early so harass them, while Undead, NE and Orc players would try to
attack your base and kill your wisps to hurt your economy so counter them!

While creeping, you should pay attention to your heroes' health points. If they
get killed by neutral hostile, that'd be embarassing. However try not to watch
your units while creeping since it is a waste of time. Try microing your wisp
which is fast and cheap for example to scout around map and see what your
opponent is doing. Is he trying to attack your base? Is he trying to ambush
you? Is he trying to expand? What kind of strategies is he trying to use? You
can't answer all of these questions if you don't scout. Night Elf, in fact, is
very prone at the beginning of the game and can be destroyed with a flick of
finger if you are not careful. Scouting provides the info you need most so you
can counter your opponent's strategy effectively, more than important in team
games. Several heroes also can be used as a scout for example, Warden and PotM.
PotM holds the highest rank of scouting due to her Owls.

Hext, you should ABSOLUTELY keep your heroes alive on entire battles if
possible. Keeping them alive also provides the exp they need most while losing
them at the most important points would make you regret the mistakes you've
done. Don't bother to use Tavern if you want to revive lv 3 hero, it's
expensive so save it for very urgent situation. If you can't micro well, I'd
suggest you to try Demon Hunter with Mana Burn + Evasion (Fighter) skills build
order. It's easy to use since you only need to concentrate on casting Mana Burn
only. Try this build repeatedly until you have the correct timing on using him
then you could try your hand to micro two heroes.

Don't forget to alternate your attention while creeping and/or attacking to
building your base and/or producing new units. Good Warcraft players will never
build their new units to replace the killed ones after battle BUT in battle
itself by rapidly switching their attention from battle to basecamp without
losing their important units. This move is easy to describe but hard to
implement as it requires very intense training and experience. However, it's
worth to try and learn this move so you can brag around with your success. :)

Warcraft 3 uses very unique aspects that balance itself out so you must try to
comprehend the system itself before even dealing with another aspects. This
game isn't about mass-the-hell and rush-'em tactics type like Age of Empires of
Starcraft.

19) What's the best troops combinations for <insert the name of NE hero here>?
Answer: Heeee, why do you ask? It's up to you. However, I've tested alot
of combinations and found several good results. I tested these options mainly
by playing against AMAI and my friends via LAN so they're quite dependable.

For Warden: Yea, she's first because obviously she's my favourite hero EV4r!!:P
1. Mass Archers on early game then upgrade them to Mass Hipporiders
Reason: Good at harassing added with Warden's Blink insane power. I first found
this extremely effective against insane (Human) AMAI however this is also
proven useful on several maps against human player such as Lost Temple.
2. Bears + Dryads
Reason: Good for fighting all-out also this is the most common strategy for
Night Elf. However, this will place Warden on trouble because she needs to
fight hand-to hand against enemies' troops also. Rejuvenation and Abolish Magic
when used properly, can help your Warden to survive immensely.
3. Mountain Giants + Dryads
Reason: The best defensive tactic with huge potential firepower. Both MGs and
Dryads have good defense against spell attacks. Just make sure you have enough
time to build Mountain Giants ASAP before you get massacred because of lack of
firepower and shield.

For Demon Hunter:
1. Mass Huntresses
Reason: Good for Tower Rush tactic.
2. Bears + Dryads
Reason: Good for fighting all-out also this is the most common strategy for
Night Elf. Demon Hunter is deadly when used together with this combo.
Rejuvenation keeps him alive while Abolish can get him out from most terrifying
disabler spells.
3. Mountain Giants + Dryads
Reason: The best defensive tactic with huge potential firepower. Both MGs and
Dryads have good defense against spell attacks. Unlike Warden who is prone
from physical attacks, DH can help you to repel against your opp attacks by
using him as a temporary shield.
4. Mass DotT (Druid of the Talon)
Reason: While they're very vulnerable against both physical and magical
attacks, they're still very useful due to their Cyclones. Here, Demon Hunter
can help them for a while soaking out all that physical damage.

For Priestess of the Moon:
1. Mass Huntresses
Reason: Inarguably, the most useful troops at PotM disposal. Her Trueshot Aura
is really powerful. Huntress is fast, excellent for scouting because of
Sentinel, and can be a quite good shield. Harassing or Rushing is the best
tactic. However, this strategy lacks aerial attacks, best to build Ancient of
Wind in case your opponent switches his/her strat and uses air units.
2. Mass Hipporiders
Reason: Due to her natural aura, this kind of troops is powerful. Use it in
conjuction with hit and run tactic.
3. Mass Dryads
Reason: Due to her natural aura, this kind of troops is powerful. Use it in
conjuction with hit and run tactic.
4. Mountain Giants + Dryads
Reason: MGs are good for a shield meanwhile PotM and Dryads can destroy the
opposition from afar. This combo is also quite good for countering air units.

For Keeper of the Grove:
1. Mass Huntresses
Reason: Inarguably, the most useful troops at KotG disposal. His Thorns Aura
is really powerful. Huntress is fast, excellent for scouting because of
Sentinel, and can be a quite good shield. Harassing or Rushing is the best
tactic. However, this strategy lacks aerial attacks, best to build Ancient of
Wind in case your opponent switches his/her strat and uses air units.

General combinations/ strategies:
To repel either Footman, Ghoul or Grunt rush, Archers are the best option.
They're ridiculously weak but cheap and can be produced quickly. To withstand
the rush, stand right before your Moon Wells and keep focus firing the hero.
Eventually, he/she will run and you can beat off the rush. Demon Hunter and
Warden are the best leader because of their spells. Keeper of the Grove is best
used against weaker heroes like Far Seer or Lich but DON'T use him if the
opponent is using Blademaster or Death Knight as a part of his/her rush
strategy. Meanwhile, Priestess of the Moon almost stand no chance against this
kind of rush. Night Elf have serious problem against rushes, especially in team
games 2vs2 where your ally is really needed. Be sure you make a good use of
your own Moon Wells and Ancients.

Night Elf have pretty good counter against many attacks type. If you ever found
yourself in trouble against mass spellcasters tactics like Sorceress or Shaman,
you can always use that tiny dragon, Faerie Dragon. They're very powerful
against spellcasters due to their Mana Flare although you may need another
units like Hippogryphs -if your enemy is using airs- or few Bears and Dryads.
Warden is useful in this case because of her Fan of Knives, DH too because he
can provides shield that Faerie Dragons need most.

Against mass air units tactic, you can try Mass Hipporiders. When scouting
always tie them together and when fighting you can break their formation.
Hippogryphs are good at air coupled with Archers ranged attacks, and few Dryads
to slow down your opponents, you can wipe out the most terrific air attacks
with ease. PotM shines here if you use her with either Archers or Dryads.

*Note: if this section -Question 19- grows but too much, I will simply create
independent section in the next version of this FAQ.

(ABOUT AUTHOR QUESTIONS)
------------------------

19) Your first language isn't English, can I send you email in English?

Answer: Yep, English is my alternate language in fact, but worry not for I can
speak English quite well (What? Are you sure?). My first obviously is
Indonesian, I can understand about portion or so for few other languages as
well but not adept at using them for conversations.

20) How long did you spend to write this FAQ?

Answer: About 40-45 hours. I fail to remember correctly.... Ah, at least long
enough to build a new home. :P My biggest work on this FAQ is merging the
contributions although laying a new layout is also another problem. However, I
don't want to publish something that isn't edited properly so I edit my work
very carefully before I submit it. Thank you for your patience.

21) Where can I see your posts in GameFAQs?

Answer: I usually go to Warcraft III The Frozen Throne board, GF World: Asia

===============================================================================

These people deserve my thanks, without them I wouldn't be able to write this
FAQ. They've either helped me directly or indirectly on this FAQ creation.Anon,
they're (in no particular order):

- Blizzard Entertainment ------------------------------------------------------
  Link: www.blizzard.com
  They made this awesome game and thus I was able to write this FAQ. Simple and
  obvious, isn't it? Oh, I also need to thank them for their wonderful World
  Editor (from which I extracted heroes' data and stats) . Without it, I won't
  be able to write this FAQ completely.

- FT Replays Website ----------------------------------------------------------
  Link: www.replayers.com & www.wcreplays.com
  Hey, I got some of these strategies from watching replays which were
  downloaded from these websites. So, it proves a point that watching a replay
  would help someone to improve their tactics and skills at certain point.
  At least, for hosting replays for FREE!

- Black_Zero_X a.k.a Fransiska (Me!) ------------------------------------------
  Hey, she is this FAQ's writer. Without her, you wouldn't be able to read this
  FAQ. Special thanks go to her of course so...... yay for me! :P

- Ryan ------------------------------------------------------------------------
  He gave me his Battle Chest, taught me how to play this game, and became
  an inspiration to write this FAQ. He always there to support me, whatever I
  have done and I will done, also being everything I want in a man. I can't
  thank you enough in the past, now and in the future.. You're the light in
  my heart, dear.

- Melly -----------------------------------------------------------------------
  For being my best friend, for loving me, for encouraging me, and for
  teaching me how to deal with "them" ..... Our friendship will last forever,
  Melly. Rock on, Sister! Rock on! xD

  FAQs/ Reviews on GameFAQs. Thanks alot!

- metapad ---------------------------------------------------------------------
  link: http://liquidninja.com/metapad/
  ...I used metapad to make this FAQ. That reason should be enough to put
  metapad on my 'thanks' list. Oh don't forget too for metapad's most useful
  feature.... ctrl+ F9!!!!

- ASCII Generator/ Asciigen ---------------------------------------------------
  link: http://go.to/ascgen/
  Because of its existence I don't have to create anymore ascii art, I
  used it to create my initial below. Quite nice, huh? Thanks to Ascii gen.

- Everyone on GameFAQs' Warcraft III The Frozen Throne message board. ---------
  Whhhoops, they helped me when I was but a newbie player AND helped me out of
  my misery when things got tough. If it wasn't for these guys, I would've
  packed this game up long time ago and threw it away to my soapbox.... >_>

*Note: The emails listed here came directly from my inbox, I pasted those mails
straightly BUT I DID edit them so as to make them seen better on this FAQ. I
copied and pasted the emails blatantly to show my respect to those who have
sent me contributions. :) However, as I said, I have the rights to edit , be
it context or grammar etc, but not to alter the contents of the emails. The
emails were sorted based on the sender's name, also I don't post ALL the
emails I've gotten to save space. I'm only posting the most useful ones.

- Aaron Guitanguijo [Kineyas] [[email protected]] ---------------------------
  For sending me a correction regarding PotM, here's the email he has sent.
  Thanks, really appreciate it.

  Hi there,

  First of all, I am going to say that I am also an avid NE player. I love the
  work that you have done. Although I'm a KotG-user, and was hoping to gain
  some new information about my hero, but it seems that you love Wardens more.
  ;)  I'm not hating, I love all 4 heroes by heart.  <3

  Anyways, the reason I'm writing you an email is because I found while reading
  your guide that the skills on your Priestess is kind of messed up. :P You
  gave her the skills for the DH. I don't know how many of these emails you
  have already gotten but I'm just adding one to the least. And of course to
  congratulate you on a very detailed guide. :)

  Well, have a nice day. :)

  For sending me a correction regarding Groove spelling :) Don't sue me please!
  Here's the email he has sent. Thanks, really appreciate it.

  ////
  You've probably already gotten a couple of emails about this, but it's Keeper
  of the Grove, not Keeper of the Groove.

  Figured I'd let you know if you didn't already. Good job on the FAQ.

- Fernando Lee [[email protected]] ----------------------------------------
  For sending me tons of contributions on single email! :) It was me who should
  give you 'thank you' not you. You even sent me the details of those
  Nukes' calculation damage... what an email! Lee's contributions have
  affected my FAQ greatly as you readers can see, applauds for him, please!

  ////
  Hi, there! I read your FAQs. It's good to know that there is still a TFT(not
  DotA) player left in Indonesia. Will you write another races' hero later?
  Seems to me you've not played this game long enough (pardon me, it's just my
  assumption). You know what's so good about this game? because ALL heroes and
  unit have a good and bad things almost equally. You said Blood Mage is most
  pathetic because you don't know yet what he's there for. He's one of the
  best.

  You said that the most damaging nuke is Undead's Tri-Nuke? that's what all
  people around the net also saying. They just don't calculate correctly. The
  strongest Undead Tri-Nuke is Nova-250, Coil-300 and Carrion Swarm-200 (not
  Impale-110) at level 3. Hero armor reduces 30% of spell damage taken so it's
  (250+300+200)*0.7 = 525 in an instant. So what's that better nuke?
  Storm Bolt-350 + Clap-100 + Banish. It does (350+100)*0.7*166 = 522.9. Why  I
  call it better?

  1. Undead Nuke needs all 3 hero to be lvl 5 or above, while this nuke only
  needs MK to be lvl 5 and Blood Mage at level 1. Sure it's much easier.
  2. It only needs 2 hero, so you can add any damage and it will be
  overwhelming. That 3s stun can be very deadly. I count lv. 2 clap because I
  assume MK is at lvl. 5 only.
  3. Death Coil can't effect undead enemies, while Human nuke can be use
  against any. Oh, especially for undead, you can use tri-nuke with Paladin
  Holy Light for and insane 840(kills any lvl 3 Undead hero) instant damage and
  3s stun. If you're a skilled player, you can land even Flame Strike at that
  rate, or you can alternate Flame strike with Siphon Mana.

  See? Blood Mage is one deadly Hero. Even his own attack rate is faster than
  Warden's. Also, Undead's Tri Nuke won't kill level 1 Blood Mage, because he
  has 550 HP.

  Now talking about Warden, She kills fast and killed fast, so beware. Demon
  Hunter is good hero, but as I said all heroes have power and weakness. His
  ultimate is so-so because his attack became range (his immolation is
  useless). He's not immune to magic too, so mostly people won't try to hunt
  him down (because of his high HP) but put him to sleep, cast debuff and
  everything. Talking fighting 1 on 1 level 10 heroes duel, the best is Panda.
  You can try it on any heroes.

  KoTG is good for his Entangling Roots. but at later games, all of his moves
  can be dispelled. PoTM is also OK. Unfortunately, most every player reluctant
  to use her Owl Scout.

  I don't know eiter why all people around the net said that Big Bad Voodoo is
  useless. Maybe you don't mind explaining to me?

  You also said Silence is no big deal. Think of a horde of Orc using scroll of
  speed surrounding your Warden. And in time you want to blink, you're
  silenced. If I'm not mistaken, Silence is a longest duration debuff that cast
  on Hero (24s at lvl 3). It can also stops Immolation, Starfall, Tranquility
  at the same time (if they're within Silence area, which is indeed large at
  level 3). Any spell is useful if you know how to use it.

  Bladestorm is easy to avoid? That means you've never met with Chieftain Stomp
  (4s to hero at lvl 3, the longest stun can be cast on hero)-Bladestorm or
  Hex-Bladestorm. Even with 1 hero, Orcs can Ensnare or purge you to stay on
  place and Bladestorm you easily. If you caught by Stasis trap, it will be
  much worse.

  The good thing about Transmute, Doom and Charm is they can be cast on Spell
  immuned unit like Dryad. Also the cooldown is relatively fast (40s if I'm not
  mistaken). If you're losing dryad that fast, the Casters own your army.

  You mistyped on DH Vs Dreadlord. You said to "learn Blink Quick". DH can't
  blink! =) BTW, if DL puts your DH to sleep with Immolation active, you'll
  keep losing mana for nothing.

  If you're OK with this kind of mail, I'll keep sending you comment, strategy,
  counter and everything else; but if you find this useless, I'll send you no
  more.

  Thanx!
  ////

  Here's his second email (on the same day, just few minutes newer lol):

  ////
  Sorry, there are other things:
  - Force of Nature does Normal not Piercing damage. They're not stronger as
  the level increase, but the number does.
  - Thorn Damages does not calculate critical strikes.
  - Tranquility DOES affect mechanical and spell immune units. Practically
  everything. The only spells that can heals mechanical units are Tranquility
  and DK's Unholy Aura.
  - Entangling Roots used to disable only movement, but now it disables attack
  also.
  - You mentioned many times about limit use of spell (FoK, Entangling Root) on
  Spirit walker. In fact, they inflict more damage since SW is Ethereal.
  ////

  Here's his third and fourth emails, after I asked his permission to put
  his first two emails on my FAQ. :)

  ////
  Very glad to hear that from you. Whatever info I send you, feel free to place
  it in your FAQs if you find it useful. I've read your FAQs only once. If I
  find anything else, I'll send it to you.

  Big Bad Voodoo indeed has a limited use, just like any other channeling
  ultimate. But, if you want to focus fire on him while channeling, you have to
  GO THROUGH INVULNERABLE HORDE of Orcs. The only way to do it, you must have
  air units, because besides siege units, other land units don't have range
  that long (BBV has 800 AOE). Now, if you place healing wards behind Shadow
  Hunter, Dispels/Disenchant or Control Magic won't reach it. Don't forget to
  cast Spirit Link on him before channeling. Now you can see that only siege &
  air units can focus fire on him. Air units only do piercing or magic damage.
  Siege, piercing and magic does only 50% damage to Hero Armor. Reduces it more
  50% by Spirit Link and reduce another for amount of armor he has (He's
  Agility type, so has a relatively high armor).

  But, what is really scary about this spell is that it's different
  Invulnerable system from Paladin's. If you cast any positive buffs to all
  your unit and cast BBV, the invulnerable units KEEP THE BUFFS, unlike Paladin
  or Invulnerable Potions. IF you're against Horde that Uses Blood lust, and
  Lightning Shield that's invulnerable and UNDISPELLABLE, you'll be doomed.
  Against any channeling ultimate, you can always run, but where to run if they
  do that while raiding your base? Remember your ancients can't hit them while
  they're pillaging your building.

  I'm not saying I'm a better player than those around the net, but surely I
  have a better open-mindedness to say that any spell has a specific
  usefulness.

  Some heroes with good spells have worse Ultimate; some other have so-so
  spells & Ultimate; the other have bad spells but Scary Ultimate; the other
  have better spells and ultimate, but poor stats. I'm sure Blizzard has been
  calculating them carefully, that's why I said that this game is very, very
  good.

  Oh, about the FoK, it's simply a BUG that won't hit any ethereal units. It's
  not a physical damage like you said, because it does not damage spell immune
  units. The Shadow Strike's Bug is worse. It CAN hit ethereal units with NO
  INITIAL DAMAGE. Only the over time damage counts. In fact, there are bugs I
  found, but Blizzard doesn't care about it because I don't have Battle.net
  account - perhaps assuming I'm using pirated games. So I don't bother sending
  them anymore.

  OK, that's all for now. Keep the good writing!
  ////

  Lee's fourth email is as follows:

  ////
  Sorry, I said incorrectly that Silence last 24s on Hero, should be 12s.

  You mistyped in evasion section that it doesn't affect "magic attack". Should
  be "spell attack". This game has magic and spell type that have different
  property, so I think this one will be confusing. Evasion also CAN evade
  Critical Strike.

  Most people underestimate PoTM. It's true that she can't do much early games.
  But she allows you to do insane damage later games because most of NE units
  are range unit. Most of us also forget to consider her Searing Arrow +
  Trueshot Aura damage. Around lv.5, her attack can deal around 60 dmg/shot
  alone (not to count Roar & Orb of Venom). That's why Blizzard gave her the
  slowest att. rate (along with Dark Ranger). If you have Orc/Undead partner,
  cast Unholy Frenzy or Bloodlust on her and you'll see what I mean.

  Alchemist is easy to kill physically, not magically because He has the lowest
  Armor (1) but high HP. His advantage is that his healing spray doesn't have
  cooldown, and Acid Bomb is a dangerous spell. I see that you're a good
  observer because you do appreciate armor, so I'm sure you understand.

  If you're facing summoning heroes, indeed it's hard at early game. Just be
  sure to have Dryads. Maybe it's because you played NE much more than other
  races, so unconsciously you take them as big problem. Really, the thing that
  NE must fear is Mass Skeleton, because NE doesn't have Area Dispel, except
  for Wisp. If you play as other races, you'll consider summoned units as free
  experience or a potential ally (control magic).

  Beastmaster's spells are all summoning, but none of them has resistant skin.
  That means with enough MP, Spell Breaker can control them all. Orcs have the
  Summoned Unit killer (purge, 400 dmg). Undeads see them as Additional Ammo
  (with Destroyer, of course). That's why I suggest you use KoTG as first Hero,
  because ER is very useful early game.

  I suggest you to write a bit about Hero-units combination (Or All heroes, not
  just NE), because it's the point to determine the way you play. If you
  analyse Hero only, it's very limited, because you can classify them to
  'killer', 'tanker', and 'support' only. For instance, if you use Warden-PoTM,
  Claw-Chimaera at late games, you'll regret it =)

  For sending me few FAQ tips. I've merged his tips into this FAQ. Wait a
  minute.... what does 'hijacker' mean? O.o

  ////
  It is worth noting that the Warden's Blink makes any units which are
  chasing/targetting her to stop targetting her. This is useful for when you
  want your Warden to survive from owerwhelming forces.

  Vengeance's spirits can be killed even if they are invulnerable. You have to
  use spell such as dispel, magic, abolish magic detonate e.t.c (any spells
  which hurts summon units)

  Warden should be able to beat Demon Hunter if the Demon Hunter goes for the
  immoulation/evasion build. MB-ing her to remove spell like Blink is only
  effective at level 3.

  Blademaster's Wind Walk counter: I don't know if this works but I think
  Huntresses Sentinels has true sight thus being able to him. So if you think
  the Blademaster is windwalking then grab a Huntress and sentinel a tree
  nearby. Does not work if there are no trees nearby. :S

  Dreadlord's Sleep can be countered by forcing attack the Warden using an
  archer. This wakes her up. Remember to retarget the archer afterwards.

  Demon Hunter's Ultimate attacks becomes chaos and splashes. Stunning is
  virtually useless with the Demon Hunter as his immolation keeps working.

  Keeper of the Grove's abilities are useless when opponents uses Abolish Magic
  etc etc.

  They're my tips.... Otherwise the most indept hero faq ever!

  Don't really care what you do with them.... lol

  I would like to play against a fellow NE player... I basically haven't played
  any other races.... (my friends says my view to Melee is narrowed :S) So
  please email me.

  Hi Black Zero,
  Name's moyoshix2o (US east server) and I need desperate help. I can play
  proficient Night Elf, meaning that I can do the basic build order and attack
  decently. What I can't do is scout, micro, or change strategies to counter
  what my opponent is doing. I only know how to do archers/huntress -->
  dryads/bears. This sometimes works, but most of the time I just die. I also
  don't know how to manage my heroes. I love Demon Hunter, but I know that I
  don't use him right. I usually go MB/Ev/MB/ev/MB/DF/ev/Im/Im/Im and creep
  like crazy. Once again I can't micro him in battle. I also like the Dark
  Ranger, but I know that she only works sometimes in early game, and only when
  you catch the enemy off guard. Please help me. If you could send me a
  strat, or perhaps a replay with teh current version of war 3 tft, that'd be
  great. Any help at all would be great. Thanks for reading this far.

===============================================================================

Hooooookay, I think I've covered them all but I'm not 100% sure that
everything I stated above is correct because this isn't Walkthrough but
Characters' FAQ with strategy guide inside it, so to make this little FAQ more
shiny, your contributions are surely welcomed. See 'About' section to know
about this further. On the next version I'll definitely fix those typo errors
which I didn't realize earlier, add an even more Frequently Asked Questions as
necessary and perhaps _add_ few more strategies if I can find some.

Oh, typos and other errors may exist within this document for I don't have time
to check everything now >_> so critics and corrections (however small they are)
will be accepted gladly. AND if you send me contributions and I don't respond
your email in the next day, please be patient. I check my mailbox once a week
and probably haven't gotten around your message yet or I'm backlogged with
emails. Short answer: BE PATIENT!
