INTRODUCTION --------------- I love this game. I simply love it. I can't think more of an introduction; I decided to do a boss guide. So, on with the bosses! --------- 2. BOSSES --------- --- 1. The Castle - The Queen --- This is your first boss battle in the game. The queen is a blue female (duh) rabbit dressed in red and gold. She also carries a big shield with a red "Q" on it. While she's idle, you can't hurt her. She has two attacks: 1. She yells REALLY loud and pushes you back with her scream. Be careful - there are spikes behind you. Thankfully, they aren't OHKO devices. When you're near the spikes you can also wake up a bat that respawns there on a window. 2. She stomps the floor and a brown brick falls on you. You can dodge it easily, though. You can only 'hurt' her while she's attacking. After you shoot her, she will step in place for a little while, then she'll get pushed to the back a bit. Push her to the ledge, shoot her again and look as she bounces off the springs and destroys a LARGE bit of the castle. SCORE AWARDED - 0 ------------------- LEVEL EDITOR HOW TO ------------------- To fight her in your own levels, you must use an Activate Boss event, and a bunch of Red Spring events next to the ledge. --- 2. Castle Gardens - Tuf Schwartzenguard --- The second boss battle takes place two levels after the boss battle with The Queen. Tuf Schwartzenguard (sometimes called just the Schwartzenguard) is a Tuf Turtle with a spiked, metal shell, boasting a flail ending with a spiked, black ball. He has one attack: he throws his flail and it returns to him like boomerang. Despite the fact that he looks heavy, he isn't slow. In some levels that other players created, the Schwartzenguards are hidden in the walls and while the player fights the real boss, the hidden Tufs throw their flails at the player. SCORE AWARDED - 5000 ------------------- LEVEL EDITOR HOW TO ------------------- Activate Boss event, of course a few walls and ground to walk on. To make the fight easier, you might place a few platforms here and there - Tuf can't jump. --- 3. Lab Rat Laboratories - Devan Shell's Robot --- This is the first time you see Devan in this game. The big boss of the first episode, Devan Shell's robot is a silver robot with a cylindrical body and two red, glowing eyes. Each time you hit him, glowing parts fly from his body. If your level's boss arena is dark, this can help the player - he/she will know where is the robot. The robot has one attack - a beige-and-pink launcher extends from its head and spiked balls are shot out from the launcher. Also, the robot makes really LOUD noises when it walks. When you shoot it with a Freezer, it stops and remains idle for the rest of the battle. SCORE AWARDED - 2000 ------------------- LEVEL EDITOR HOW TO ------------------- Without an Activate Boss event, the robot will look sad and copter in the air as an obstacle. With the Activate Boss event, the same thing happens. Weird? No! Remember that Devan appeared in the cabin when you started the battle? You need to place a Devan Robot Boss event near the Robot Boss! And better a floor for Devan, too. Otherwise Dev will be floating in the air. --- 4. The Beach - Uterus, the Crab Lord --- *throws up* The big boss of Chapter 2... This is the most disturbing thing ever seen! This is a very skinny crab floating around and hiding in his green, nut-like shell. The battle has two phases. In the first one, Uterus will float around slowly while crabs in little shells circle him as a shield. You need to kill each crab, then the second phase starts. When the second phase starts, Uterus gets energized and flies around like a madman. Obviously, you can only hurt him while he's not in his shell. After you beat him, he explodes, not gets shattered into pieces. Weird? Maybe. SCORE AWARDED - 3000 ------------------- LEVEL EDITOR HOW TO ------------------- Just like the Schwartzenguard. AB event, floor, walls and some platforms. You might also add some respawning crabs to make the fight harder. --- 5. Planet Medivo - Bolly the Robot --- A deformed Robotnik's vehicle + a big windshield + a single Sparks eye + triple spikeball chain + rocket launcher = THIS. A hideous machine pilotted by a single Sparks eye. Although he's slow, his swinging spikeball chain can reach far away places. When you enter the arena, be sure to destroy the Helmut that wanders on the floor. The spikeball chain can be destroyed. Bolly can be only hurt if you shoot his windshield. The best method to fight him ((at least for me)) is the 'street fight' performed with Jazz. Start with an uppercut, then continue to buttstomp on him. When he uses the second attack, which is launching purple, homing missiles onto the player, jump on a platform, wait for the missiles to hit the air and continue buttstomping. Bolly is also the Big Boss of Chapter 3. SCORE AWARDED - 3000 ------------------- LEVEL EDITOR HOW TO ------------------- Do's - see Schwartzenguard, and maybe some respawning Helmuts. Don'ts - don't use multiple Bollies, because one will have full sprites, and the other ones will have sprites missing. Looks fugly and makes the fight harder (ex. invisible chains). --- 6. Frozen Hell - Bubba the Devil --- A caricature of a devil in the third level of the last Chapter. He jumps around the arena and while he sneezes, fireballs fly from his mouth. If you are far away from him, he'll do a tornado a'la Taz from Looney Tunes and attack you with it. When battling him, be careful, because some platforms can crumble, resulting with you falling down on the floor. ------------------- LEVEL EDITOR HOW TO ------------------- Look at Schwartzenguard, but make the platforms crumble. Don't use respawning enemies in a Bubba fight. Never. --- 7. Damn - Devan Shell --- Ah, the final boss of the game! The scientist turtle has a gun, and a nice one! A blue-particle laser, and it hurts a lot! Don't use freezers, you'll just waste your ammo because he breaks out of the ice in a second or less. In the final arena, he runs and hops around the platforms and the floor here, while constantly shooting at you. He's a tough nut, and he's FAST! REALLY fast! You beat him! This is great, you just beat the game! Oh, what the-- SCORE AWARDED - THIS IS NOT OVER! ------------------- LEVEL EDITOR HOW TO ------------------- Look at Schwartzenguard, but make more of the platforms, heck, maybe a stairway to spice up the battle! --- 7. Damn - Devil Devan --- Oh, sweet! Just sweet! You thought you beat it, and Devan evolved like a Pokemon! Fortunately, Devan isn't too tough, but he flies around freely on his dragon wings. He has only one attack - spitting fireballs at you. A classic battle - just have his health bar drop to the zero and enjoy the ending. SCORE AWARDED - 0 ------------------- LEVEL EDITOR HOW TO ------------------- Look at Devan Shell. --- 8. Unused Boss - Bilsy the Devil --- Bilsy is the toughest boss of the whole game. He is a tall, slim devil in a cloak. His only (tough!) attack is shooting fireballs at you. The fireballs damage TWO hearts of your health bar! This means that three hits and bye bye. After he shoots a fireball, he teleports to another location, making him pretty hard to hit. Freezers = no. SCORE AWARDED - 3000 ------------------- LEVEL EDITOR HOW TO ------------------- *hinthint*Schwartzenguard*hinthint* --- 9. Unused Boss - Rocket Turtle --- A crazy turtle with a rocket backpack. Need more? Very glitchy. Only professional levelmakers use it. Kinda unable to hurt you. SCORE AWARDED - INFO N/A ------------------- LEVEL EDITOR HOW TO ------------------- Activate Boss and the Rocket Turtle Event hidden not in the End Bosses event category, but in the Bad Guys event category. When you activate the Rocket Turtle, it flies far away. The only way to make it not work this way is to make an AREA ID track for him. He'll follow the track, then stop. And then he won't do anything else. --- 10. Unfinished Boss - Tweedle --- Tweedle was intended to be the boss of the Psych (Funky World) levels in Chapter 2. He just doesn't work, however when he is shot with a Freezer, he looks like a witch for a milisecond. His orig. animation can be found on Jazz 2 Online.
