Walkthrough

by Evil Bastardo

Welcome to my Walkthrough of "The Hitman: Codename 47",
                             by Evil Bastardo.

Let me first say that this is one of the most groundbreaking and
excellent older PC games one could find. The missions are clearly laid
out for you, but game play is completely open ended as to how you
complete each mission. I have spent hours and hours and hours thoroughly
enjoying being Mr. 47, and in the following I will describe pretty much
the safest and easiest way to complete each mission. And though this
game awards you cash for successful completion, I will not address the
cheapest method of completing each mission, except to say that I try to
find the most efficient method, but some expenditures are necessary, and
if at all possible sparing innocent lives really saves on the income. I
will try to describe what I did, and how it'll work in a "best case"
scenario. Keep in mind that everything in this walkthrough is just the
way I did things. This game is very "open ended", and there are many
ways of completing each mission. You may want to go off on your own and
do something completely different. Use this walkthrough as a guide if
you get stuck, don't know where a pick-up is, or generally just to see
how someone else did the missions. Or maybe just for a good laugh.

Here's the disclaimer, Do Not attempt anything you may do as Mr. 47
in real life, at home or anywhere else. Deliberate killing is against
the law in most civilized countries, and I do not condone it myself.
Hitman Codename 47 is a virtual reality, so have fun releasing some
aggression, the legal way.

TRAINING

You wake up to a bright light in your eyes and soon get freedom of
motion as the arm and leg restraints are released. You hear a voice in
your head, it guides you, follow his directions.

You should be standing up in front of an open door. Go up the steps
and through the open door, to your left on a bench you should find
clothes, put them on and walk through the now open door in front of you.
Cross the hall and open the door. In this room is a series if movement
lessons. Move forward, turn to the right and climb the ladder. Follow
the platform left around the corner and turn left to face another
platform on the wall across the way. Move forward and jump across to the
other platform, walk off the edge or climb down the ladder. Jump into
the trench and follow it to the ladder on the other end, climb out and
go to the door. Through the door and to the right go press the button to
call elevator. Take elevator down to the 3rd basement for some weapons
training.

Come off the elevator and enter the door on the right. Inside door on
right find two pistols, move down the corridor and find the pistol range
on the left. When you finish go through the door behind you and find two
submachine guns, I have found the H&K to be faster and more accurate
than the Uzi. Proceed through the fake alleyway and shoot the red
targets in the windows, the blue targets represent innocent bystanders.
At the end go left and into the elevator on the right, go up to the 2nd
basement and on to the rifle ranges. You can try all the guns but
especially try the sniper rifle a few times to get used to going in and
out of scope mode and zooming in and out. On the way out I grab a
shotgun and some ammo then head for the elevator through the gate to the
left. Go up to the 1st basement and prepare for your first bout of
combat with a person. The hall looks empty coming out of the elevator,
but up ahead behind the wall lurks an orderly with a Tazer. If you don't
already have one out, then equip a weapon, my preference is the
shotgun. When he sees you he will come after you and Tazer you, so
blast him twice with the shotgun (depending on range you may need only
one if he is point blank) move to fallen body and change clothes. Now
might be a good time to practice dragging bodies, you will need to know
how for effective mission completions. When finished go through door
turn right and up to gate. Funny the guard doesn't ask questions, just
gets up and opens the gate, but then why should he, you're holding a
Big-A** shotgun. Go past the desk and through the gate on the left, then
watch the cut-scene as hitman on security cam sneaks up the stairs and
out of the asylum, and your guide behind his computer leans back and
puts his arms behind his head.

This completes your training and on to your first mission.

KOWLOON TRIADS IN GANG WAR

You find yourself in Hong Kong one year later, and check out the
laptop for mission briefing. After checking out reports, maps, etc. on
equipment screen just go with what is highlighted already for you, this
is all that is needed for this mission.

Upon entering the mission you stand next to your car parked a block
away from the park where you will find your target. Turn to the left and
follow the street as it bends to the right, it is safe to run at this
point. Keep following the street until you are approaching some
barriers, then turn right and cut between the buildings. When you come
out on the street, go left down the street to the end and go right. At
the end of the first building, turn in between the bldgs. and go into
the elevator on the left. Go up to the roof, get off elevator and turn
to the right. Go a little ways down and up to the wall. You should be
looking down at a Pagoda style pavilion with a statue under it. Arm
yourself with the sniper rifle (its in the sniper case).

After two cut-scenes showing men getting out of limousines, you should
get ready for a shot on the target. Your target arrived in the second
limo and is wearing a black robe with a red dragon emblem on the back.
It takes a minute or two before he comes into sight range. Aim your
weapon just over the statue's left shoulder and zoom in. When target
comes in sight you do have a good couple of minutes to line up for a
good clean head shot. Take the shot and watch the blood fly. Cool.

Stay in sniper mode with lens zoomed all the way in. In a few moments
a helicopter gets into position to take you out. Quickly sight in on
shooter in chopper and take the shot, if you were quick enough he falls
out and down to the ground, if you miss or were slow, you see the
fateful death screen and usually Hitman has a big hole in his head.
Either drop or put away the sniper rifle and head down the elevator to
the ground. At ground level you may have a guard approach and say
something but I just ignore him and start running back the way I came,
all the way back between the buildings and down the street and around
the bend over to your car. SUCCESS. You have completed your first
"Hit" and survived. Good for you. We'll make a hitman of you, yet
.

AMBUSH AT THE WANG FOU RESTAURANT

Check out the laptop briefing, and on the supplies screen you can
choose what you want but all you really need is the silenced 9 mm and
the car bomb with detonator.

You start the mission again standing next to your car on the street.
Look forward and go across the street and down the alley, at the
intersection go left and hide behind the dumpster on the right. Get into
sneak mode. Watch for the limo driver to come into the alley, go around
the corner, and relieve himself. Wait for the pedestrian to walk by and
get out your silenced 9 mm. move out from the dumpster (no need to sneak
now), and peg the limo driver in the head. If you do it right, limo
driver will fall right into the sewer pit (Nice!), if not, drag him into
the sewer hole by picking up body and walking into hole. You may have to
walk off more than once to get him to fall off. Now put your gun away,
change into his clothes and climb out of sewer. Go right of the sewer
and turn right down the alley, remember to WALK coming out of the alley.
Approach the limo on the drivers side and get out the car bomb, focus
the dot on the car door and place bomb. When the cut-scene ends you are
standing next to the car, WALK away from the car and down the alley the
way you came. At the intersection go left past the sewer hole and then
right down the alley again. Stop when you get just out from the end of
the bldgs. and get out the bomb remote, but don't hit the button yet.
Look to the left, down the street you should see three thugs in blue
robes. Wait for the limo to come into view and go around the corner, hit
the button when the car is between the thugs. If it is timed right the
explosion will take out the three thugs, too. If not, get out your
pistol, run or walk up and kill those three dudes. Then go right back to
your car and SUCCESS. Another mission under your belt. You're getting
good at this!

THE MASSACRE AT CHEUNG CHAU FISH RESTAURANT

Again check out the laptop briefing, and on the equipment screen
choose the silenced 9 mm and the (IMI) Israeli Military Industries Uzi
(because it is concealable). That's all you need.

Scene opens with you standing next to your car 1 block away from the
restaurant. Make sure all weapons are concealed. Go straight away from
your car down the street and turn left at the fish restaurant and go
right in the alley between the restaurant and the next building. Towards
the end of the wall on the side of the restaurant, look up and climb in
the window into the bathroom. Equip and then drop the Uzi in the
bathroom and climb back out the window. Back in the alley angle towards
the right and go left past the sewer hole. Keep going through the alley
past the fenced-in fire escape and stop before you come out of the
alley. Bring up your equipment screen and stop on silenced 9 mm but
don't get it out yet, wait for policeman to walk by on the other side of
the street, and pedestrian to turn into the alley and go past you. Still
wait for Red Dragon Negotiator to walk past the alley on his way to the
restaurant, he looks at you but keeps on walking. Fall in step walking
behind him, now equip your weapon, and try to get a clear shot at him.
Sometimes I will shoot 2-4 shots just to make sure he falls right away.
But if you're good you should be able to take him with one shot in the
head. Man it's Cool when you can do that.

Before you do anything else (especially do NOT change clothes yet
stay in your suit) drag his body right across the street and drop him
into the sewer hole. You must do this quickly before any policemen see
you. I find on this one it works better if you drag him forward next to
and between the building and the sewer hole. when you are almost past
the hole turn back and drop in the hole. he should fall with you. If not
you may have enough time for one more try before a cop comes from down
the street. When you pegged the representative an innocent bystander
sees you. He goes and reports to the policemen about a civilian doing
suspicious activities.

If everything went good you would be in the sewer standing over the
Red Dragon Negotiator's body. Take the amulet and now change your
clothes, you need to "be" him. Climb out of the sewer and dust yourself
off, P. U. Now make like a Red Dragon Negotiator and WALK down the
street (usually on the sidewalk) towards the restaurant. When you get
near the door the police guards will frisk you, but it's ok they just
take your weapon and let you go. After the cut-scene walk up the stairs
and go in the door. Walk over to the empty chair and talk to the Chief
of Police. After the cut-scene go to the bartender and talk, get the
bathroom key from him and head for the bathroom. Second door on the
right, first door is the kitchen, found if you walk next to the wall you
don't get the cut-scene again about talking to the Chief of Police. Once
inside the rest room, make use of the Uzi you left in here earlier, but
maybe wait for the door to close before you pick it up. Sometimes they
see you picking up the weapon and go ballistic. Now that you're equipped
with a weapon open the bathroom door and open fire on the Chief of
Police and the Blue Lotus Negotiator. When they both fall, go in the
room and stop. Equip and drop the amulet you got from the Red Dragon
Negotiator. You should be able to run out the front door and south down
the street to your car. Another screamin' SUCCESS, by now you should
have a little cash in your account.
***NOTE1*** I noticed when playing on the Expert difficulty level , that if
you walk too far into the room to drop the amulet, the bartender whips
out a shotgun and starts shooting at you. After opening the door and
wasting the chief of police and the Blue Lotus Negotiator, don't go into
the room. Instead, drop the amulet near the doorway and go back out
through the bathroom window, head left and out to the street. Then just
keep on running for your car.

THE LEE HONG ASSASSINATION

Now this mission gets more complicated. You need to get the
combination and location of a safe somewhere in the building and get a
Jade Statue from the safe. The problem is that the safe shows up
randomly in one of four places. I will break up into four different
sections. You will have to JUMP to whichever section your safe shows up
in and continue when all sections meet again. All start off the same so
I will tell you when to JUMP. The gear you need off the equipment screen
is the silenced 9 mm, fibre wire, and the Kevlar body armor. You get all
kinds of weapons from the many bad guys you gotta take out on this mission.
A good tactic is to bring the IMI Uzi, for two reasons 1) you will be stocked
up on ammo instead of having to drop an empty gun and equip one with
bullets, reloading is quicker during battle. And 2) it is concealable. Same thing
goes for the sniper rifle, except it can't be concealed, so you will have to drop
it before going into the restaurant, but you will still have the ammo. There is
a sniper rifle to be found in basement 1, and there is a stockpile of AK47 ammo
near it also. There is ammo for the sniper rifle in the guard quarters along with
more AK47 ammo, and in the room you pass through to get to the safe in
the Maddam's, there is Uzi ammo on a dresser below the mirror. Maddam and
guard don't seem to mind you walking through if you are in disguise.

You can approach this mission several different ways, Stealth,
Aggressive Gun Nut, or a combination of both. I prefer the latter, a
little of both but no matter how stealthy you are sometimes you are
spotted and it almost always leads to battle. Now a few words on
stealth. There are a few ways you can aid your hitman to be stealthy.
First there is always disguise, take out a badguy hide his body and take
his clothes and weapons, in essence you "become" him, and unless you get
too close to someone else or act suspicious, you can usually just walk
on by. Second by using stealth mode (I think it's pre mapped to keyboard
button 4) or sneak mode, same thing. Hitman walks a little slower but
his steps are silent, opening doors is silent, and only in sneak mode
can he use his fiber wire. Also a part of stealth is choice of weapons,
for instance; shoot someone once in the head with the silenced 9 mm and
usually he just drops, no warning, but shoot someone one shot with the
normal 9 mm and guards will come running from the sound of the shooting.
So be aware that guns make noise. Also Hitman can only carry one rifle
type weapon at any time, for example; the Uzi can be concealed but the
AK47 can not. You can holster a rifle type weapon and sometimes this
helps, but you can not hide it, so civilians on the street will get
spooked and run to the police. Make sure you check your weapon status
when being stealthy either in disguise or sneak mode, most of the time
it is best to have no weapon of rifle type and all others hidden or
holstered, until you are sneaking up to garrote the dude. I find that I
can bring up my equipment screen and scroll to what I want, but don't
engage it yet. Walk up till you are close then lock it in and start
blasting. Same thing with rifles, put it in holster mode then bring up
equipment screen when you are about ready to use it. I have found that
using "R" button will holster or conceal small weapons, but rifles you
must open equipment screen and scroll to the word Holster and click on
it, then hitman will sort of "put away" rifle instead of dropping it to
the ground, That Sucks!
***NOTE2*** While playing on the Expert Difficulty level, I came up with
a new strategy for this mission. I noticed that you can just walk around
and behind NPCs, facing their back. Go into sneak mode and get out the
fibre wire, then just silently take them down! Works every time, even
with the ones who tell you "Restricted area" or "you are not allowed here"
Just be careful that no one else is in the room. I don't think it works on
the guard in the basement in front of the Cell holding the american dude.

You start off in front of a construction site, near a diesel truck
cab, 1 block away from the restaurant same as in Ambush Mission. Head
down the alleys and into the front door (you can run up to the door but
walk once inside unless no one can see you) Walk inside and around the
pillar, head down the corridor and into the door with the sign above it
BAR. Angle off to the left and go up to the bar, talk to the bartender
and get the flyer for the cat house upstairs. Turn around and angle
towards the right, away from the bar and through an octagon shaped
doorway, past the fish tanks on the left and into the door ahead of you,
not the one next to the fish tanks. Through the door, go forward and
right to the door with a guard in front of it next to the restroom sign.
After the cut-scene with the guard go through the door and down the
hall. Go through the door at the end on the right, and turn left and
then right past the pillar. After the cut-scene with the fat guard go in
the door and up the stairs, turn the corner left and up the stairs.
Through the door, turn left and up the stairs, turn right and approach
the Madame. In the cut-scene she tells you what to do. Follow the geisha
girl to her room and inside, wait till the door closes. See that you can
talk to her but don't talk to her yet. Go back out the door and stand
about halfway down the hall, between the plants. Stand with your back
against the wall and get into sneak mode, wait for the guard to come and
stand in the hall for a few minutes, looking back and forth. If you are in
the right place, she should walk up and stand right in front of you. Get
out the fibre wire and put her down. Take her weapon and drag her body
into an empty room. Do not go into the door on the left that you went
past on the way to the girls room. Go back to the door you came in with
the girl. Make sure you are not in sneak mode and all weapons are hidden.
Walk past the guard on the right and into the corner behind him. Go into
sneak mode and line yourself up right behind him. Equip the fibre wire
and do him, then drag his body into the same place with the female guard.
Again, holster your weapon and go out of sneak mode, go left down the
hall towards the guard standing by the door. Keep moving toward him and
get close to the wall. He will say something about "Restricted Area", just
ignore him and move past him into the corner behind him. Turn around and
go into sneak mode. Equip the fibre wire and do him, too. You probably
don't need to, but it's a good idea to drag their bodies into that same
empty room with the other bodies. Collect their weapons and head back
to the room with the girl. It is not necessary, but you can take out the
guards on the stairways the same way, and hide their bodies. It is a good
idea to holster weapon before you get to her room. There have been times
when I've 'Spooked" her and was not able to talk to her, so I couldn't get
the combination. Also the same thing happens if you accidentally shoot her.
It just sucks because you get this far and now gotta start over again
because the girl won't talk to you. Such is life, eh? I have found that if you
go in the room with the Madame and a guard in it and you have a gun
exposed or shoot the guard in there, the old lady says, "Don't do this!" or
"Have mercy!", then the girl won't talk to you. If your Safe, by chance,
shows up in here, wait till you're done interacting with the girl first.

Ok, if you talked to the girl, after the cut-scene follow her out and
left down the hall and out to the door to outside, You may talk to her at
the door and get a cut-scene, or not. Don't go out the door yet, wait
until the guard completes a round, comes up and stands there a few
moments. When he is walking away and clear around the boxes, you
can follow girl around fence and climb up ladder onto roof. After cut-scene,
hide behind dumpster in stealth mode and side-walk around dumpster so
guard doesn't see you. Watch him and side-walk back around dumpster,
when he is far enough past, you can run up behind him, equip a weapon
if not already done and plug him one in the head, or just blast him till he
falls but be CAREFUL not to hit the girl with stray shots, as I mentioned
the part earlier about her not talking to you. Drag his body over behind
some boxes near the fence, change to his clothes and go grab his AK47
if you want it, I still use the silenced 9 mm till I'm down in the basement.
Talk to the girl at the gate and watch the cut-scene, check out the look
on his face in the end after she kisses him.

Ok she gives you the combination to the safe but you still don't know
where it is. Head back around the building to the three doors into the
kitchen past the dumpsters. Make sure that all weapons are holstered.
Go in the leftmost door through the storage room, right out of the storage
room, turn left and a quick left again down the stairs to the basement. At
the bottom of the stairs is two guards, ignore them and just walk past,
turn left and then right down the stairs after the laundry room. Approach
the next two corridors to the right and one to the left with caution. The
first one on the right may have two guards down the stairs, and the one
on the left has one with his back turned to you. Go just past the first
corridor on the right and turn to the left, drop any weapons, go into sneak
mode. While sneaking up on the guard with his back to you, get out the
fibre wire and drop him where he stands. Now go down the stairs in the
first hall and just walk past the guard. Keep going all the way to the end
and follow the bend to the left around the corner, turn right and go down
to the end of the hall. The hall continues right where you will find the AK
ammo on some boxes (I highly reccomend picking up this ammo), and it
turns left to a dead end with a box where you will find the sniper rifle.
Stand against the wall at the end of the hall at the 'T', and wait for the
guard to walk up to you, turn around and stand there a few moments. Go
into sneak mode get out the fibre wire and take him out. See a pattern
developing here? Holster the fibre wire and get out of sneak mode. Now go
back the way you came and back to the guard you walked past on your
way here. Walk past him into the cubby hole behind him. You know, now
go into sneak mode and equip the fibre wire and take him out. Go back up
the stairs and turn right. Go to the second right corridor and down the
stairs to the cubby hole on the left. While standing in the cubby hole move
so that you can just see the guard past the corner. Line up the dot with
his head, equip the silenced 9mm and blast him. There should be no other
guards to worry about, but just wait a few moments to be sure. Now drag
and hide all bodies in the Cell. Open the door and go inside to find the
prisoner you need to free. Talk to Agent Smith and watch the cut-scene,
he gives you the location of the safe. It can show up randomly in one of
four places; A) Upstairs in the Brothel, B) In the Storage room, C) Upstairs
in the guard quarters or D) On the first floor in the VIP area, look on
the map to find location A), B), C) or D) The difference between the
two by the brothel is the one in the storage room is closer to the
outside wall as the one in the brothel is farther inside the building.

Now you have the location and combination of the safe, if you try to
open the wrong one and it says "locked" guards will come running,
somehow they know, safe must be wired. This is a good time to explore
basement 1. Look around and explore the area thoroughly, you should
find a sniper rifle on a box around a corner in one area and near it up
some stairs a stockpile of AK47s and ammo. You probably won't need
the sniper rifle, but do stock up on some AK ammo. On the west side of
basement 1 there are two elevators, one goes to the VIP area and the
farther west one goes to the VIP area and guard quarters. On the north
side of basement 1 you will cross the sewer river and on to another
elevator which goes down to basement 2 and the underground tunnel
that leads to Lee Hong's private headquarters. After freeing Agent Smith,
I will usually go on to the north side of basement 1 and then I go down
the elevator. When the elevator reaches basement 2, go into sneak mode
get out the fibre wire and take out the guard just outside the doors. Get
out of sneak mode and holster the fibre wire go past the boxes to the
right and continue down the hall towards the other elevator. Just inside
the empty part of the hall, stop and wait for the guard to walk down the
hall. After he gets past you go into sneak, get out the fibre wire and take
him out. The other guard by the elevator doesn't seem to see you doing
this. Hide his body behind the boxes. Get his weapon and continue to
the other elevator. Walk in behind the guard, turn around and you know
what to do, sneak up and take him out with the fibre wire. Sometimes I
will collect a bunch of AK47s and bring them one-at-a-time and stockpile
them in the elevator to the headquarters, for future use if I run out of
ammo doing battle in the headquarters. Also you could leave the sniper
rifle here to take out tower guards outside the compound, but it isn't
necessary just cool.
***NOTE3*** I had a hard time with this mission on the Expert Difficulty
just because of the length of the mission. You can get so far and then
things go terribly wrong, get all shot up and die. So I opted to now just
go up the elevator, and when the elevator gets up to the headquarters,
go Rambo on all the guards as soon as the elevator doors open, even
taking out Lee Hong's personal bodyguard. Carefully keep taking out all
the dudes you can see, and go up the stairs. Take out the guard at the
top of the next stairs. Slowly go up the stairs and take out the guards
around the corner. You should see Lee Hong come out of his office,
go to the wall and get down a Katana sword. He will come after you and
if you are too slow, he cuts you up. Just keep shooting him, it takes a
few more shots, just like Zun, but a couple of shots to the head will
usually take him out quick. Now go back down the elevator to the base-
ment.

Ok, now back to the area where you freed Agent Smith. If your safe
location is either the brothel or the storage room go back to where the
one guard was standing in the corridor with his back to you, and go down
that corridor, it turns and then turns again to some stairs. At the top
of the stairs is a door on the right and a door on the left. The door on
the right goes into the storage room and the door to the left goes to
the atrium where the fat guard is in front of the door going up to the
brothel. JUMP now to A) or B). If your safe location is in guard
quarters or VIP area, then head to the west side of basement 1, cross
the sewer river and continue on past the first elevator (goes only to
the VIP area) to the elevator farthest west, JUMP now to C) or D).

   A) UPSTAIRS IN THE BROTHEL:
Up the stairs from basement 1, make sure you have no weapons drawn,
in fact if you have an AK47 just drop it and go through the door on the
left unarmed. Turn to the left and WALK by the fat guard and through the
door and on up to the brothel. The lobby of the brothel should be empty,
go in the door that you first went in with the geisha girl and head left
towards her room. Instead of going to her room go to the door on the
left. The one I told you not to go in when you were here the first time.
With all weapons holstered, open the door and go into the room. The door
on the left just goes back out to the lobby, and the door on the right holds
the all coveted safe. There should be a guard next to it. Walk around him
to the right, he'll probably say something like "Leave Now!" Just ignore him
and move in behind him. Sneak up and do him with the fibre wire. Hide his
body in the corner to the left of the door you came in, so that when you
go back out the guard and the maddam don't see it and get spooked. You
should already have the combination so get to it and open that sucker,
step back to let the door open then move in and get the jade figure. Put
everything away and holster weapons. Now head back down the stairs and
out to the door with the fat guard in front of it. Ok, this is the JOIN-UP point,
so JUMP on to the heading: JOIN-UP POINT.

   B) IN THE STORAGE ROOM:
At the top of the stairs, going to the door on the right. You can
safely enter the door, but around the corner to the right, past the
sticking out wall is the safe and a guard standing next to it. Stay by
the wall to the right and up to the edge of the wall, have a weapon
equipped, side-walk left while aiming and take out the guard next to the
safe. If this is the correct safe (you can check by looking on the map
and see if your green circle is right on top of or at least intersecting
the yellow circle of the safe) then open it up and back-step one or two
to let the door open. Grab the jade statue, head out the door the way
you came in, cross past the stairs going down and go through the door.
There should be a guard next to you, and the fat guard at the door to
the brothel. Ok, this is the JOIN-UP point, so JUMP on to the heading:
JOIN-UP POINT.

   C) UPSTAIRS IN THE GUARD QUARTERS:
If you didn't get too lost, you should be standing in front of the
elevator, the one farthest to the west on the map screen. (you should be
able to walk all the way around this elevator) Get in the elevator and
go up to the guard quarters area. When the elevator arrives and the
doors open, head out to the right. Cap the guard in the hall, then turn
to the left, if you can't see it yet, take a couple of steps forward and
you should see the safe in the breakroom to the left. There's a guard
next to it and another across the room, eliminate them and any others
that may show up. Now grab the sniper ammo on the table and move on out
the hall to the left and up some stairs into a storage area with some
more sniper ammo on a blue box. Back out and go back to the elevator
(you should have made a circle). Get in and back down to basement 1 Back
over the sewer river and keep going back to the area where you freed
Agent Smith. Go back to where the one guard was standing in the corridor
with his back to you, and go down that corridor, it turns and then turns
again to some stairs. At the top of the stairs is a door on the right
and a door on the left. The door on the right goes into the storage room
and the door to the left goes to the atrium where the fat guard is in
front of the door going up to the brothel. Go through the door on the
left. Ok, this is the JOIN-UP point, so JUMP on to the heading: JOIN-UP
POINT.

   D) ON FIRST FLOOR IN VIP AREA:
If you didn't get too lost, you should be standing in front of the
elevator, the one farthest to the west on the map screen. (you should be
able to walk all the way around this elevator) Get in the elevator and
go up to the VIP area. Get ready, when the doors open, there is a guard
standing right there, and one down the hall to the left and one to to
the right. (fiber wire may work good here). Dispatch nearby guards and
go to the right from the elevator. As you approach the end of the wall
stop and face the wall. Slowly side-step out and look into the room, you
may find a couple more guards in here. Get rid of them and head for the
safe (you may want to hide all the bodies...or not, it's your mission. I
just like to run a tidy operation, then no one knows you were there).
Open the safe and step back one or two steps to let the door open, then
move in and get the jade statue figure. Head back to the elevator and go
down to basement 1. Back over the sewer river and keep going back to the
area where you freed Agent Smith. Go back to where the one guard was
standing in the corridor with his back to you, and go down that
corridor, it turns and then turns again to some stairs. At the top of
the stairs is a door on the right and a door on the left. The door on
the right goes into the storage room and the door to the left goes to
the atrium where the fat guard is in front of the door going up to the
brothel. Go through the door on the left. Ok, this is the JOIN-UP point,
so JUMP on to the heading: JOIN-UP POINT.

   JOIN-UP POINT:

Standing in the atrium, angle right and go through the door with a
guard standing by it. Go left down the hall and through the door into
the restroom area, turn left and go through the door back into the bar
area and head past the bar and through the door to the right into the
restaurant area. Head straight through the table area, not to the double
doors going outside, but to the single door straight ahead, and into the
herb vendor. Talk to the herbalist, (***NOTE4*** If you went ahead
and went up to Lee Hong's Headquarters and took him out, and then
went and got the Jade Figure as I discribed in Note3 then the cut-scene
is Hitman handing the Jade Figure over.) and in the cut-scene he gives
you two options for getting to Lee Hong. Even though his first response
seems much more difficult, it is the way to go. If you take the poison
he gives you, you need to first put it away, then head for the restroom
area and hang out till one of the waiters comes in (wearing either a
green or yellow uniform), you have to get his clothes, so take him out
in the bathroom (- $5000 for killing an innocent bystander), and don the
disguise. Go into the kitchen and the cook tells you to take the bowl of
soup out to Mr. Hong. Put the poison in the soup and head out to Lee
Hong's table. As you try to give him the soup, his personal bodyguard
stops you and drinks it on up. Hong senses the trap and heads out the
door to outside and out to his headquarters, although in the cut-scene
you do kill the personal body guard, but then you still have to go up
against his minions in the headquarters and the scene leaves you
standing in the middle of the restaurant with pissed-off guards all
around you. Now you have to battle your way back through the kitchen and
down the stairs to the basement, and if you live you can go on. This is
what I do...

Still in the herb shop after talking to the herbalist, go back to the
door and get ready with a weapon (maybe something bigger and faster,
like the Uzi). Open the door and totally open up on Lee Hong sitting at
the table right there. Of course he dies pretty easily but you still
have to contend with the big personal bodyguard, I have unloaded 3-4 Uzi
clips into his chest before he falls. Aim for his head and he goes down
quicker. Now you still have to do in some guards on your way through the
dining area and through the kitchen, then head down the stairs in the
kitchen to basement 1 again.

At the very bottom of the stairs, go straight ahead and through the
door, this leads to the north side of basement 1. Unless you have
already come through and eliminated all the Red Dragons in this part of
the basement, then stop before you get to the end of the wall. Equip a
weapon, side-walk left, and wipe out the dudes at the end of the
corridor (or WALK by them, you're in disguise). Turn left, then right
and down the stairs, around the corner and over the sewer river. Back up
the stairs and around the corner, down the corridor and turn right to
the elevator. Ride the elevator down to basement 2, and be prepared to
see a guard as the elevator doors open up. Again you can probably WALK
right by them in disguise, but not if you are carrying a rifle (even
holstered) or have a weapon exposed. Well, then take him out, the good
ol' fiber wire works here since his back is turned to you, but you have
to be in sneak mode. Or just blast him, and I wouldn't worry about
hiding bodies anymore, because there are no roaming guards in this area.
go right past the boxes, and stay to the right next to the wall. there
are two guards down the corridor ahead of you, and one of them does walk
into the area next to you, stands there a while, and turns around and
goes back in front of the elevator. I just side-step out from the wall
and riddle them both.
***NOTE5*** If you already came through here and killed Lee Hong and
cleared the house, then you just have to go right after exiting the
elevator, go through the mesh door to the outside elevator. There is
still one guard on the dock below, but you should be able to take him
out safely from here. Ride the elevator down and head out to the boat
to end the mission.

Ok, this is the elevator that I talked about earlier, about
stockpiling a bunch of AK47s in the elevator for future use (it does
suck to have to bring them one-by-one, and some of them from pretty far
away, depending) You may not have to if you have used your bullets
wisely, but you can do this now if you think you need to. I sometimes
run out of ammo when I get here (I've never tried stealth here, but it
may work). Ride the elevator up to the first floor headquarters, again
there is a guard standing right in front of the elevator doors, the
fiber wire works but you certainly will attract attention. If you didn't
kill him earlier, you will find the Sumo personal bodyguard in here. As
you may have noticed, I did quite a bit more combat on this mission, but
I have given you suggestions as to where stealth might work. Which is
half the fun of this game, pushing the boundaries to see what will work,
the only problem is that this game has no in-mission save feature, like
Hitman 2 Silent Assassin. So if something goes wrong here, you are quite
a way into this mission to fully die here.

When the elevator doors open up I start blasting, take out the dude
in front of the elevator, the dude up the stairs, the one angle right
down the hall. You get the picture, pretty much clear the joint, but try
to stay away from the windows on the land side of the building, for
there are guards in towers who will snipe at you if you give them half a
chance. Just walk or run by quickly so they don't have time to line up a
shot. When you are finished find the steel grate door that goes to an
outside elevator. Get on and ride it down to the pier, another thug
guards the pier, kill him or go past him to the boat to exit this
mission, and SUCCESS. Now this mission was a bit more difficult, ya think?

FIND THE U'WA TRIBE

Ok, this mission is easy to explain but may be difficult to complete
the first couple of times, because it takes place in the jungle in
Columbia, and it is very easy to get turned around and going the wrong
way. Explore the mission briefing and on the equipment screen, I highly
recommend buying the compass. You can load up on whatever else you want
but make sure you also have the body armor. Of course my favorite weapon
of this game the silenced 9 mm, but you also get deagles and AK47s from
soldiers. Remember if you bring the AK47 you have more ammo than if you
just pick one up with a 30 clip (if the guy hasn't shot at you). I just
like to be sneaky and use silenced weapons.

This mission starts you off in the cut-scene dropping you off in the
jungle. In the middle of nowhere. Immediately when you have control
equip the compass, it shows up in the upper left under your health and
armor status bars. Ok, check out the map and see the big yellow shaded
circle marked "crash sight", and the rock formation on the eastern side.
The downed plane is located right next to the rock formation on the
southwestern side. Also note the bunch of clustered green dots east of
another rock formation. There is a river running through the area and a
dirt road winding around and crossing the river. Ok back to the mission,
your first objective is to find the plane wreckage and recover a golden
idol statue (you can see it in the laptop "F1"}.

After equipping your compass and weapon of choice (or not) basically
run east and a little southeast, and keep going till you hit the road.
You may or may not encounter soldiers along the way and more likely near
the road, I just keep on running and since I have the advantage of
knowing where I'm going I just run on past. They may yell and shoot at
you but usually you can lose them in the jungle pretty quickly, except
sometimes they attract the attention of more guards nearby, then you
must act quickly. Anyway, if you just run and head straight for the
southwestern tip of the southern rock formation, you should easily find
the plane. When you do find it go to the door on the left side of the
fuselage behind the wing, and down on the ground just outside the door
is the golden idol statue. Quickly pick up the idol and put it away, now
beat feet around the backside of the plane and head around the southern
tip of the rock formation. If you didn't get lost on the way or waste a
lot of time sightseeing (ok mercilessly murdering mercenaries) you
should have been able to do all this and get hidden around the rocks
before the soldiers find the plane wreckage. WHEW! If you got all that
you can now take a breather for a moment, but not too long we still have
a full day ahead of us.

Bearing the golden idol, head east to the river to keep your bearings
or just head north, northeast past the southern tip of the northern rock
formation. If you keep along the river you will encounter a couple of
soldiers hanging out next to the river. You can either take them out and
get their weapons or like I do just try to run around them and keep on
going northeast along the river. If you haven't already guessed, you
will find the indian village northeast of the northern rock formation,
and the Chief's hut is on the south side of the village. Keep following
the river and when the village area comes into view get ready, put away
your weapons and get out the idol. Approach one of the natives maybe the
one by the rickety looking bridge crossing the river. After the
cut-scene go just north into the village and you should see several
natives off to the right. Head for them and as you get there you get at
cut-scene, and another talking to the Chief, who now informs you that
you must rescue his captive brother located southwest down the river on
the bridge. Rats you have to do this before he will tell you how to get
to the drug lord. Now combat skills will come in handy..

Run southwest near the river to keep your bearings, you may encounter
soldiers (if you haven't already popped them) and watch out for the
patrolling helicopter on the river. Keep following the river till you
get near the road, again you may or may not encounter soldiers. Near the
road try to go west a little and then cross the road and keep going
south a little. There is a guard tower near the bridge and the river,
and it is best to approach from the south. If you can, get behind a tree
and lean out and blast the guy in the tower till he's dead. this will
probably alert more soldiers who come running so prepare for some gun
battle. I never tried, but maybe some stealth would work to get you
closer to the captive on the bridge. Maybe change clothes and try
walking on up. Make sure that you go back into the native village
wearing the same clothes you had on when you went there the first time.
I made the mistake of changing into soldier clothes and when I went back
to the village the natives shot me down with blow-dart guns. If you
first went to the village wearing your camouflage suit then put it back
on to go back to the village. It seemed to be ok if I had on a uniform
the first time and went back with the uniform. I never tried vice versa.
Anyway, get to and take out the soldiers on and around the bridge. Try
not to hit the captive brother, again with the not talking to you part.

When the brother is freed he will take off running northeast through
the jungle back toward the village. You can follow him if you want, but
you don't have to, he doesn't seem to get captured again. Make your way
northeast along the river back to the village, and receive praises from
the villagers, the way to get closer to Pablo, and a nifty trek over
that rickety footbridge. SUCCESS. The first part of a three part
mission is completed. Kind of a sucky payday for this jungle crap, but
it does get better.

THE JUNGLE GOD

This mission pretty much picks up where the last mission ended. Check
out the briefing, there are several clues that I didn't get the first
time through. You can't choose anything on the equipment screen, but you
won't need anything that you don't already have. On the map pay special
attention to the two checkpoints.

You start off on the west side of the river and were told in the last
cut-scene that you could use their footbridge to cross the river (don't
worry it is safe). Go across the bridge and look around for enemy
soldiers. You may encounter some natives in this temple ruin area, but
they won't bother you. The soldiers, however, will, unless you are
already in disguise. If you took my advice in the last mission you
should still be in your camouflage suit, which is ok. Just avoid the
roaming soldiers by hiding behind rocks and walls. Using stealth mode
helps, but usually you can just walk or run behind them when their back
is to you. Be careful though, if a guard is too close and you run, he
will hear your footsteps. When the coast is clear head due south to
check out the first checkpoint. The checkpoint turns out to be a
sacrificial altar, notice the spotted leopard roaming around on the
other side of it. I just know that if you try to get by him he attacks
you, and if you kill him you really piss off the natives, they think it
is "GOD".

This is where the other checkpoint off to the northwest will come in
handy. In the area near the second point of interest, you should find a
wild boar hangin' around. You can take the life of the wild boar and
drag his body to the sacrificial altar, or you can do what I do. I go to
the nearby temple ruin, there is at least two soldiers patrolling near
or standing inside. I approach from the south and come up the stairs and
hide behind the corner of the wall. Then I sidestep out and shoot the
guards (I am an animal lover so I couldn't take the boar, even it is
just digital). Now that the two guards are dead, go grab their weapons
and change into a uniform. this is your last chance to get a disguise
before going into the next mission. Then I drag one of their bodies over
and up on the altar, Jeez it's a long ways, but worth it. Ok drop the
body and take a couple of steps back, now watch the leopard go for the
bait. Hmmm. Lunch! When he is eating you can just walk on by to the
crawl tunnel, wave to the native up on the rock to the left. Go into the
tunnel and SUCCESS. Second part of this mission completed. Now for one
of my favorite missions, isn't Pablo handsome? Looks more like I got to
him first.

SAY HELLO TO MY LITTLE FRIEND

Check out the laptop and scope out the mission. You can't get
anything on the equipment screen, but if you check out the map there are
pick-ups in the area, although you really won't need them if you follow
my advice carefully, because there is plenty of stuff stashed in the
compound. This final part of the mission in Columbia is somewhat
complicated and you may not make it on one single life I rarely do, but
I have. Ok, enough set-up, let's go.

Mission opening cut-scene shows you crawling through the tunnel in the
mountain, and coming out the other side on the north side of Pablo's
compound. The camp is completely surrounded by fence and the only
opening is the gate at the road on the south side in about the center.
When you have control move in foreword slightly and look for the wooden
box on the left. Go to the box and get a knife and more importantly a
new Kevlar vest. Before picking up the vest make sure that you need it,
because it doesn't add more, it just fills up your level. If you have at
least 50% or more left on your shield you should be ok, and besides
there is more of them around on this level.

Now you can go either way around the fence but I find going around on
the east is farther. First I make sure that I have no weapons exposed.
Holster all weapons and I even drop any AKs I may have picked up, anyway
make sure you have no rifles and everything else is put away (it will
say "holster" in the upper right corner of the screen). Then head around
the fence on the west, you don't have to hide in the jungle because you
are in disguise, I just WALK along the fence and steer around any
oncoming soldiers. As long as you aren't too close they won't pay
attention to you. Just walk along as though you belong there like any
one of those other thugs. Walk right on up and open the gate and walk
right on in. Kinda gets your adrenaline going , huh?

Once inside the gate head straight ahead towards two tents behind a
guard tower and go into the one on the left. Towards the back you should
find a silenced 9 mm, ammo and another Kevlar vest. Grab the gun, ammo
and vest if you need it At this point make sure all weapons are put
away again before going on. Go back out the tent the same way you came
in and turn to the left, follow the road to the east. The road will bend
and split, to the north is the "Mansion" and south is two more tents by
another guard tower. Again go into the one on the left and gather up the
AK ammo. Forget about the M16s, not enough ammo and attract too much
attention. Stick to the silenced 9 mm for now. Ok got the ammo now head
north to the ugly, run-down shack they call a mansion. You may or may
not have gotten a cut-scene of Pablo in his office, huffin' off a big
"F"ing pile of hooch. It should come up now if not. Don't approach the
house from the front door with the two soldiers standing guard. Follow
the road and approach the house at the side door near the back. Go up to
the door and look around for any soldiers (it may be wise to equip the
binoculars for a better view, but thugs far enough away can't see just
like you).

Wait till the coast is clear, equip silenced 9 mm, face the door
enter the door and open fire on the two guards in the porch. I usually
side-step from the door and shoot the guards through the window, because
you get the element of surprise, or try opening the door in sneak mode.
If you were quick enough, you still have surprise element. If they
sounded alarm at all other guards will show up, blast away till they
stop coming. Go through the door and turn to the right, if you still
have surprise, sneak up and garrote or pop the guard down the hall.
There is one almost right next to him past the wall to the right, and in
the room through the door to the left. Don't go in the double doors into
the main room yet. Go back past the double doors that you just came in
and head down the bend in the hall to the door. Still ready with the
gun? Open the door and snuff the guard on the other side of the room
(again you may be able to sneak up behind him with the garrote, for
effective use of the garrote, press and hold fire button to stretch wire
taut then sneak up and when in range let it go and hear him gasp for
air). It is probably not necessary to hide the bodies, all that
dragging, but it is a good idea and this is about the best room to do
it. You can collect their weapons, but again not necessary. I still use
the silenced 9 mm. Go to the other door, next to the one you just came
in and do the guard just inside (again you can shoot him or garrote
doesn't matter). Don't walk all the way into the room yet, stay under
the balcony, and aim up and to the right. You should get a shot at a
guard on the balcony, it may only be a body shot so fire at him a bunch
of times till he drops. Now go out into the room and turn left and go in
the door on the left and waste the guard in here. Go back out the door
and angle left toward the front double doors. Go up the stairs to the
left and go in the first door on the right, turn right and go up the
ladder. At the door here, no surprise, just open the door and peg him in
the head. Nothing else up here, but if you are playing on a high end
computer with pretty good graphics capabilities, you can peg off some
tower guards from the window up here. Also through the window at the top
of the ladder, you can get a couple of tower guards. Cool.

Go back down the ladder and back out the door you came in. Turn right
and stop at the next door on the right. Angle to the right, open the
door and again plug the guy in the bathroom, surprise! Follow the
balcony around, don't go in the double doors in the center, yet. Go in
either one of the next two doors and take out both of these goons. In
the last door right before the stairs you will find another silenced 9
mm and more ammo, awesome. Now go down the stairs and approach the front
double doors. It might be a good idea to look out a window on the front
of the house and make sure the coast is clear, first. Get ready, open
the doors and nail both of the guards out front. Look around and if the
coast is still clear, quickly drag the bodies into the house. Equip
yourself with one of those black AK rifles, it shoots faster and is more
accurate than the AK47. Now go back up the stairs to the double doors in
the center of the balcony. Take a deep breath and get ready for the action.

Burst open the doors and ... get a cut-scene. After that, aim up and
just start unloading on Pablo. You may want to side-step right or left,
sort of behind the doors for cover when he starts shooting. Shoot him,
and shoot him, and shoot him, and shoot him, and shoot him, and shoot
him and shoot him. Boy he talks a lot of trash. You can hit "Esc" and
blip through the cut-scenes if you get tired of it. My dad just roared
at that when he was watching one time. If he hits you with his shots it
may only take a few hits to kill you, from that M60 he's firing. If you
do die here the game puts you back in the jungle just outside of the
gates. This sucks but sometimes it happens. Just drop any rifle and
holster your weapons, and head right into the front gate again and
nonchalantly walk back to the first tent you were in and get your armor
back (if you already used both the one by the tunnel and the one in the
tent, there is one way south in the jungle at the pick-up location
marked on the map along with more AKs and ammo). If the guards at the
front gate freak when you come back (remember no rifles and guns
holstered, not even piano wire or knife, still considered a threat) and
you have to fight your way in, you may just want to start over. Or you
could battle it out back to the house. I have actually snuck up into the
center guard tower on the west side and garroted the guard (you have to
be sneaky) There is a sniper rifle with 8 or 10 shots, use them wisely
to shoot the other tower guards, that you can't see from windows on the
house.

Get back to the mansion and back up to that
CokeSnortin'TrashTalkin'M60firin'sonofamothadog.Can you still hear him
shooting? Anyway, finish the job you started, shoot the hell out of
Pablo, and once he falls, head into the room and search his body, get
everything you can from him, and read the letter from the prof. He's
talking about you! Yeah, here's your example Pablo. Make sure you grab
the bomb from the desk before you go. You can take the M60 if you
desire, I just use it up on tower guards outside his windows. I know
where there is something better. Leave the house via the front double
doors, and angle left away from the house and find a single tent by
another guard tower. inside the tent pick up my all time favorite
weapon, the mini-gun. Grab the extra ammo, too. Now there are two tricks
to this gun that I have found. First, you walk very slow when you have
this weapon equipped, if you have to run which I do, you need to
"holster" the mini-gun first (go to equipment screen and select holster
and click it in). Second, when you go to fire the gun the first press of
the fire button turns on the motor, and pressing the fire button again
shoots a quick stream of bullets, release the fire button and firing and
motor stops simultaneously, so you have to start up the motor again and
then start firing again. It's a little slow on the draw but wow when you
fire and hold it, it just saws dudes in half. Ok enough about the
mini-gun. Very formidable weapon.

Now, mini-gun or not, if not try stealth, I take the mini-gun,
holster it and run past the house to the gate in the second fenced-in
area (Pablo's lab), you may encounter resistance on the way, but not to
worry. Mow 'em down like grass and head to either entrance of the lab.
Rain lead down at the guards to the entrance, just keep blowin' them
away till you have cleared the building, even the guards at the doors on
the other entrance. Place the bomb on the sticking out part of box under
another box next to some shelving. Get the heck out of there, and start
heading back past the mansion. When you get sufficient distance from the
lab get out the bomb remote and hit the button. Cut-scene shows lab
blowing up. Keep going east toward the runway, when you get to the back
of the building between the house and the runway, equip a weapon. (yeah,
the mini-gun!) Go around and side-step out the front and cut down the
three guards in front of the plane. You may encounter some resistance
from outside of the fence, but you have enough ammo so plaster them all
over the place, too. When you're finished hop in the plane and make your
escape. He drives cars, boats and now light aircraft, boy, hitman sure
is talented. If you made it on one life, I say Hoorah to you, because
after many attempts and several completions, only once have I completed
this mission on only one life. So many factors can make a mission go bad
at any given moment. Now you are a SILENT ASSASSIN in the making.

TRADITIONS OF THE TRADE

Another rather complicated mission. You can explore the hotel if you
want, but you can't have any weapons, because of the metal detectors.
Follow my advice and this mission will go short and sweet. I spent hours
and hours exploring the building so you don't have to. I won't describe
the whole hotel (I don't want to spoil all of the fun}, just the
relevant areas as you go through them. Check out the laptop for briefing
and on the equipment screen, don't buy any weapons except the fiber
wire. You can buy the Kevlar vest if you feel you need it, but I got
through and basically no one knew that I wasn't supposed to be there,
except the corpses, of course.

You start on the left side of the hotel, on the street facing the
entrance. If you got any weapons, drop them now. You can't get through
the metal detectors at the front door with anything but the fiber wire.
Go through the metal detectors and in either front door, inside turn to
the right and go to the front counter in the lobby. Talk to the clerk
and the cut-scene points out Hienrich Wulff in room 202, this is your
first objective, Frantz. Turn to the left and walk forward, big wide
stairs on the left, short stars and elevator to the left and "pool area
men's" is straight ahead. Go up the short stairs and call the elevator.
Take the elevator to the second floor, exit the elevator, angle right
and go in the double doors. Inside is a corridor like any other in a
hotel, except for the burly guard standing watch in front of the door to
room 202. You can talk to him if you want, and get a cut-scene, but he
won't let you in without a fight. Walk on past him, go around the corner
to the right, and wait till you see a bellhop come in with a vacuum
cleaner and go into one of the rooms to do his thing. Get it? No! I mean
get the master key from the door while he is in there and go back past
the guard in the hall to room 201, then go inside. We'll call this "your
room".

Hey, pretty nice dive here. King size bed, balcony, the works. Down
to business. Make sure everything is put away and holstered, go out of
your room and cross the hall, through the double doors and right into
the elevator. Mosey on up to the third floor, exit the elevator and turn
right, turn right again and go through the door. Make a fast left in the
door to the double doors with the green signs on them, go out on the
roof. Angle right (towards the back of the building) and climb over the
raised part in the roof, keep going to the other side and look for the
open window (should be the third one in from the back of the bldg.). Get
into "sneak" mode, whip out the fiber wire, and climb in through the
window, Turn right down off the desk and sneak up behind the guard
looking out the window. Choke him down, get his weapon, and drag his
body back in the room. Put away the gun, go up to the double doors (in
sneak mode with fiber wire), and go through. Take down the guard on the
left standing in the open door. there should be nobody in the hall, but
behind the open door is the receptionist at her desk. You should not be
seen if you drag his body through the door, back through the double
doors, and back with the other guy. Also take his weapon, then holster
it, and you can take his clothes, or not, it's not really necessary. Ok,
now you've got guns, climb back over the desk and out the window. Go
back in the hotel via the double doors that you came out. Turn right,
through the door, turn left, and left into the elevator, going back to
your room. Down elevator to second floor, exit, angle right and through
double door, cross hall to 201. Ugly should be still standing in the hall.

Back inside your room, open the door to the balcony, walk part way
out and turn to the left, and equip a weapon. Wait for the guard to come
out on the other balcony, and when he's not looking, side-step out and
boom, nail him. Even if you only shoot one shot it is still pretty loud
and alarms the guards out front, they shouldn't bother you. Now go to
the side of the balcony and hop over to the dead guard, go in the room,
equip the fiber wire and sneak up to the front door, not the bathroom
(yet). Open door and hook the burly dude out front. This can be tricky,
if there was no one in the hallway, you're safe to drag his body into
the room. If there was and they saw you, they'll run and tell guards and
before you know it they are all over you, might as well just start over.
Anyway, having dragged his body into the room you can explore a little
(but don't go into the bathroom yet). You might have noticed the stuff
on the table, under the mirror by the closet. Get the silenced Luger,
the card from the dentist, the two letters, the key, and finally the
sign. Read the two letters, some very interesting information is
revealed. Now go back to the door to the hall (weapons holstered), open
it first and then put the sign on the handle. Now it is time for the
bathroom. Equip the silenced Luger, open the door and snuff Frantz in
the shower. Straighten your tie in the mirror and leave the bathroom.
You should have noticed the big black case in the middle of the floor,
now pick it up and go back out the balcony door, hop to your balcony and
go in your room.

You won't go through any metal detectors from here, but I still drop
all my weapons in this room, just to be safe, drop the bomb case, too.
Head out from your room, go to the elevator and go down to the first
floor. Exit the elevator, turn right, turn left and go back to the front
desk. Talk to the clerk and get Frantz's mail, again some interesting
reading. The note from the florist tells about the "roses" that are
ready for him to pick up. The roses box contains a shotgun, but you
won't need it. It is concealed as long as it's in the flower box, but I
couldn't put it back in once I got it out, so it did me no good. Forget
about the florist. Head over in to the pool area men's, turn right
through the swinging doors. Approach the guard and he tells you where
the swimsuit is. Go get them on and head out to the pool area. If you
look on your map you will see that the pool area has two saunas. You
want the sauna on the men's side of the pool. Fritz the dentist should
be floating on his back in the pool. Eventually he leaves, I followed
him to see where he went. He goes to the bar in the casino area and has
a drink, he wants to play the games but the casino is closed. He
finishes his drink and heads down to the sauna. To avoid run-ins with
metal detectors and dodging security, I just wait in the sauna for him.
Waiting...and waiting... and waiting, eventually (seems like an hour) he
comes in to the sauna. Talk to him for a clue. When cut-scene ends, go
out of the sauna but not out to the pool area, turn around and look for
the pipe coming from the ceiling with a wheel handle on it. turn the
wheel and watch the cut-scene. now go back in the sauna and get the
dentists key from him.

Back in the men's changing area, go get dressed again (if you scroll
down to "change clothes" you don't have to pick back up all your stuff,
it is automatic). Leave the pool area and go back to the elevator, up to
second floor, and back to your room. You won't need any more weapons,
from now on so just leave 'em here if you haven't already. Pick up the
bomb case and head back to the elevator, go back up to the third floor,
out on the roof and into the window to the dentists office again. Go
through the office, the double doors and straight ahead to the
once-locked door to the X-ray room. Bomb is in the X-ray room, put bomb
in case and head back out and out of the office through the double doors
where one is open. Pass the receptionist desk, down the hall and turn
left, at the end of the corridor turn right and right again at the next
available turn. Go through the doors, down the hall and pass by the
elevator with the metal detector. Go through the door, turn right and
right again at the next available turn. There should be a door to the
right with a green sign on it, go through the door and down the stairs.
Keep going down the stairs to first floor. out the door and left into
the kitchen, look out for the cook (he might have a meat cleaver!). Turn
right go down the hall past the freezers and out the back door. Turn
left out to the street and a car comes for you, SUCCESS. This was your
first pretty much stealth mission, you should only have had to shoot
maybe 2 or 3 bullets if your aim was true.

GUNRUNNERS PARADISE

Again go through the laptop for all the briefing and study the map.
In this harbor area there are four main warehouse buildings, numbered
11, 12, 13, and 14. The "DEAL" could go down at one of three, 12, 13, or
14. I won't break off this time, because the buildings are relatively
close to each other and the same events take place at any one of the
three. Ok, on the equipment screen, I usually take the silenced MP5, the
silenced 9 mm, and the WA 2000 sniper rifle.

Before starting this mission I need to do a lengthy set-up
explanation, because the mission is somewhat easy, but you have to know
what to do already. I mentioned that the exchange takes place in one of
three buildings, what I haven't mentioned yet is that these buildings
are inside locked fences. Since you don't know which building is it,
yet, you need to be able to access the right one. There is a train
constantly running around on a continuous circuit track, and if you will
notice on your map, the tracks go into all of the fenced areas. The
trick is to switch the tracks and get the train to break through the
locked gates into these areas, and as I said, you don't know which is
the right bldg. yet, so I just switch them all and get all access. It
gets more complicated along the way, but enough set-up, let's get to it.

This time you start standing next to one of those big rolling cranes,
on tracks. See the pillars that hold the crane up there? Head for the
one on the right, farther away from you, and on the right side there is
a ladder going up. Climb up the ladder, onto the crane, turn facing away
from the crane (south) and equip the sniper rifle. Use it on the guy
walking parallel to the crane, and turn slightly southwest (angle right
and down), inside the fence near a fire barrel are three more thugs,
take them out. I have found that if I take the guy on the left first,
the other two run over to him to have a look, and sometimes they line up
for a two-for-one shot. One more gangmember due west and down at the
edge of the sight limit, you know what to do. Ok, now carefully walk to
the ladder, turn around and back down the ladder to the ground. Now turn
southwest and start toward where the three dudes were in the pen, look
for the track switcher, near the fork in the tracks, and switch it. Turn
and head due east past the fenced in area, turn south at the end of the
fence, and keep going until you get around to the southwest corner of
the fence. Stop when you get just past the end of the fence and turn
northwest, equip sniper rifle and aim along ground level to see another
burning barrel with three gangsters near. Pop them all and head over
there, pick up weapons if you want them. You may have noticed two more
track switches on your way. Go to the one that makes the train bend to
the right, and switch it. Wait for the train to go by around the corner,
and switch the switch back. Now cross the track to the other switch
(this should the the southern most switch) and switch it. Then drop the
sniper rifle and put everything else away and get out the GPS
transmitter. Through the alley past the three now dead guys, and to the
right you will see the car parked out in front of some little strip
joint. I have found it best to approach the car from the northeast, so
the car is in between me and the guard at the door. WALK up to the car's
right front wheel and place the transmitter. During the cut-scene, the
guard at the door is alarmed and may take a couple of pot shots at you.
Run away from him (do not shoot him or the mission fails), you may have
to keep running for a while to lose him, so I just run the loop around
that fenced in area again, full circle to the sniper rifle again.

Now you need to find out which building the meeting will take place.
Like Diana suggests, you can wait for the car to go there and locate it
with the GPS receiver, but here's what I do. If you followed me on the
pattern of the switches, all gates should be broken open, so you have
all access to the relevant areas. Pick up the sniper rifle and use the
scope or use your binoculars (you may need to get closer to some of the
buildings) and scope out the buildings. The exchange will take place at
the building that has the dogs around it. When you find the bldg. with
the dogs, take out the dogs with the sniper rifle, head around to the
back and take them out, too. Still on the backside of the building, open
one of the doors. Start taking out gang members, there should be about
four of them in here, drag their bodies out of sight somewhere, maybe
behind some boxes. Ivan gets very alarmed when he sees dead bodies
everywhere. If they haven't shown up yet wait for the car to arrive, and
the guy to come in with the briefcase. Waste him and hide the body. Go
outside and retrieve the GPS transmitter from the right front wheel
well. Come back in and pick up the briefcase, now equip the GPS
transmitter and put it in the case. Ivan will show up shortly, enter the
building and approach you. After the cut-scene, he leaves, and if
everything went right...SUCCESS. You just completed another important
mission for the agency and netted a nice reward, as well.

PLUTONIUM RUNS LOOSE

This mission is one of the most difficult, that I encountered in this
game. Still in the Rotterdam harbor, and it's dark and there are
Dobermans. If you follow my directions you should have very little
chaotic combat, and lots of silent-but-deadly strikes. Parouse the
laptop, mission briefing, map, etc. On the equipment screen pick your
choice of other weapons but make sure you bring the silenced 9 mm and
the MP5. The shotgun is available but I found it to be slow and
inaccurate, especially over longer distances, and reloading seems to
take forever. In the pick-up marked on the map is the really good stuff,
just start with what I suggested, and using a little stealth you will
get to the pick-up safely. I own two completely different computers, and
some of the characteristics of the game seem to be slightly different
between the two. For instance, I mentioned dogs earlier. On my newer
computer I was able to get to a closer proximity to the dogs before they
reacted to my presence (dogs can sense something wrong before humans).
On my older computer they reacted to me from a much farther distance, I
wasn't able to sneak past them as well. I will take this into account
during my description, and show how I did things on both computers. Whew!

You've just been dropped off on a little platform not too far from
Boris' ship. You stand looking out over the water, turn and climb the
ladder up to pier level. Run straight ahead from the ladder till you are
parallel to the near side of the first building. Turn and go toward the
guy standing in the light, with his back to you, next to the corner of
the building. A second guard walks away from him and turns in between
the buildings. Equip a weapon (silenced 9 mm preferred) and knock him in
the head, run past and angle left around the corner of the building. You
can run almost all the way up on him, and again one in the head. Change
clothes, take his weapon and go get the weapon from the other guard. Now
go up the same side of the second building as the guy was standing at
the first building, and stop before you get to the end of the wall and
stand next to the wall, a few steps back from the edge of the wall.
Before I go on I've got to mention that if one of the guards gets too
paranoid he will go running and tell Boris, Boris sets the timer on the
nuke and smashes the remote, then flees the ship in his white stretched
limo. Then it's all over, shortly the ship explodes and the whole harbor
goes up. BOOM! So you have to make these next few kills short and sweet,
and make sure no one lives to tell Boris.

Standing next to the end of the building looking at the fence and the
end of the tracks, eventually one guard will walk all the way up and
turn around behind the track end. Use the MP5 and pelt him till he
falls. Stay where you are, another guard comes this way shortly and
discovers the dead dude. As he's running up to get a closer look take
him out, too, or he'll run to Boris. Now forget about those two for the
moment, you'll come back. Go back around between the buildings, past the
dead dude from earlier, and when you get next to the garbage bins next
to the bldg. under the light, side-step away from the building with a
gun ready, skewer the lone gunman on the far slope of the roof. When
he's dead and falls off the roof, one of the guards at the gate comes
running, sometimes toward you and sometimes toward the fallen dude. Take
him out and then his other buddy at the gate, who may be running on up
by now. Ok this area should be cleared, there should be at least seven
bodies in the general area. Grab any MP5s but leave the rifles, and in
fact now it is time to put everything away, drop any rifles, shotguns,
whatever, just make sure it says holster in upper right corner and you
have nothing in your hands. Have you changed clothes, yet? If not, do
so, to be in complete disguise.

Now, run over to the now unmanned gate and go through. Follow the
tracks north until it bends and keep going north towards the group of
tank towers. When you get near the towers, turn right (east). Keep
running east past two buildings on the left, until you get to the fence,
then turn left (north) and go between the bldg. and the fence. To the
right, on the other side of the tracks, a Doberman waits, watching
guard. WALK when you get near the end of the fence, then turn right
(east) again, towards the dog. This is where I noticed the distance
discrepancy in the dogs. If you are running the game on a higher end
computer, you should be able to just WALK, brushing up against the
fence, till you get to an open gate hole in the fence with a box on
either side. When you get to the near box, just turn and go around it
and walk through the open gate into the fence. The dog shouldn't even
pay attention to you. If your computer is closer to the minimum
requirements, if you just get close to the box and the dog starts coming
after you, just keep going but run through the open gate and keep
running between two tank towers. Past the towers, veer back to the left
(east) and run along the south side of a building due east. Stop running
and WALK when you see the gates in the fences, unmanned to the north and
two guards on the one to the south. Keep WALKING east, you should come
up on another fence and a building. Go between the fence and the
building, there should be a guard next to the first bldg, by a trash
can, and possibly another guard or two walking toward you between the
fence and the next building. Stay right next to the fence and don't look
directly at the oncoming guard(s). Just keep on WALKING. As you move
ahead you should have a tank tower come into view with a guard on top,
don't worry about him. Past the end of the building you should see a
gate with two guards to the north. Just a little to the right of the
gate with two guards is another small gate hole with a box on either
side. Keep WALKING east till you get due south of the small gate hole,
then turn north and WALK through the open gate. Immediately through the
gate turn right and hug right against the box, keep going all the way
around the box and up to the fence, then turn left (east) and keep
WALKING, hugging the fence, there is a dog on the other side of the
tracks past the loading platform. He shouldn't bother you though if you
stay next to the fence (seems to work on both computers). The same goes
for the possible guard coming towards you. When you get past the end of
the fence, you should be able to start running again.

If you haven't already guessed, right now I'm directing you to the
pick-up down on the south end of the eastern pier. There is essential
equipment located in the back of a freight truck in this area. You don't
have to worry about any walking guards, but there are four Dobermans
lurking about that need to be taken care of. Now would be a good time to
equip a weapon. Ok, keep going east till you hit the boundary fence,
then turn right (south) and keep going past a major track junction till
you get to two similar buildings side-by-side (like in the very first
section). Move up and in between the buildings and notice the Dobermans
on watch, as you move in, wait till the first one spots you and starts
to move, then walk backwards till the dog is almost upon you and take
him out. Then move back in till the other one sees you and starts to
move, do the same as the first, move backwards till he almost gets you
and blow him away. You want to kill the dogs closer to the back of the
building, because when you come out of the truck there is a guard
standing next to the south building, (who wasn't there before on your
way past the first time) who sees the dead dogs and sounds the alarm, if
you shoot them where they stand. Anyway, two down and two more to go.
Head back east between the buildings toward the fence and then turn
south, and nail the third dog up on the loading platform next to the
tracks (doesn't matter where he falls and the same with the next). Keep
going south and head for the back of the first semi-truck that comes
into view. As you get closer finish the fourth Doberman just past the
back of the truck trailer, and head into the trailer. COOL, you made it
to the supply depot. Load up on stuff, pick up the CAR BOMB first, the
silenced MP5, forget the shotgun, grab the sniper ammo, the three
pistols up on the box, and last but not least, the sniper rifle. Don't
forget the CAR BOMB, it is essential to completing this mission.

Outfitted like a commando now, move off the back of the truck turn
north and equip the sniper rifle. Aim up and look for the guard standing
behind the trash cans next to building (I swear he wasn't there before).
One shot to the head should take him out, then head back the way you
came, north easterly between the boundary fence and the two bldgs. When
you get past the end of the north bldg. stop and turn northwest. Aim up
the scope and look for the guard at ground level standing next to the
building (he wasn't there either before I went into the truck). You know
what to do. Now back out of the scope and turn more westerly, zoom back
in with the scope and remove the two guards by the gate in the fence.
Back out of the scope again and turn a little northerly and up to the
roof of the building, next to, and on this side of the fence. Zoom in
the scope and about a quarter of the way back from the left you should
be able to just see the back of another guards head bobbing just above
the peak of the roof. Take careful aim, you may want to go into sneak
mode here to get a steadier shot, and boink him in the head. Now run
northeasterly up to the buildings and stop behind the building where the
guy was on the roof. Side-step left out from the edge and zoom in the
scope across ground level through the fence and shoot the two guards at
the gate in the next fence. Before you go on, move a little more out
left from the building and aim up to the roof of the first building
beyond the second fence, and do the dude on the roof near the south edge
(I've seen him actually leaning on the butt of his rifle with the barrel
stuck against the roof, like a cleaner leans on the handle of a broom).
With that done it is safe to run through the two gates into the main
yard, with the ship. Right now if your aim was true, you should have at
least 5 - 10 bullets left in the sniper rifle. While you are running,
turn southeast toward the water and drop the sniper rifle by some boxes
and tires at the corner, we'll leave it here for future use, remember
this spot by the corner with the boxes and tires.

Now WALK, and keep walking due south, past the white stretch limo I
mentioned earlier, and two similar buildings again. when you get
parallel to the southern corner of the south bldg. turn right (west).
Look for, and wait for one of the two guards that circles this building
to go by you and then fall in behind him a ways back and go hide behind
the trash cans at the southeastern corner of the building. Equip the
silenced 9 mm, wait for the next guard to come around the corner and
lights out buddy. Drag his body around the corner so the next guy
doesn't get alarmed. Stand in wait again behind the trash cans and splat
the second guard (no need to drag him now). Now move back north along
the east side of the bldg. and at the edge, look for one of the two
guards circling the north bldg., and as he goes around the corner cross
over and hide behind the central air unit, for the next guard to come
by. Equip a silenced weapon again, this time you can chart the guards
progress by looking down over the blower unit. When he comes past into
view "POW", then quickly drag his body behind the blower unit ( if you
don't get him hidden well enough and the next guy sees him, it is ok, he
just runs up for a better look). When the next one comes into view do
the same thing, and drag him in with his buddy. Go back east towards the
water and make a wide circle around the white limo. Blast the last guard
next to the car, get out the CAR BOMB, go to the drivers side and focus
on the drivers door, plant the bomb in the car. Are we there yet? "BOOM!!"

Ok, now Boris is taken care of so it doesn't matter if anyone goes
running to Boris, in fact we're counting on it. Go back to the spot with
the boxes and the tires and retrieve the sniper rifle. Now go back to
between the buildings just past the white limo. Zoom in the scope above
the ship and find the longshoreman up in one of two crows nests. Pick
him off and watch him fall, then go south just past the edge of the
southern building and do the same to the guard up in the front crows
nest. You might be able to see one or maybe two guys on the deck, too,
and one on the ground. If you still have shots left use them up on the
longshoremen on the ground at the bottom of the stairs going up to the
deck. By now someone should have found the dead crows nest dudes and
Boris should be trying to escape. Don't worry about the cut-scene where
he punches in the code to arm the nuke and then stomps on the remote,
you should have plenty of time. In fact, don't even approach the stairs
to the ship yet, maybe stay back behind the corner of the south
building (make dang sure you are plenty far away from the car at this
point, take it from an accidental mishap, you don't want to be too
close, when that thing goes up, you are almost there and D'OH you're
dead). It's even cooler if you can stand there and watch, even if it
does go to a cut-scene for the explosion. Ok, Boris is dead, RUN for the
ship, up the stairs turn the corner, up the stairs and left onto the
ship. Immediately turn right and run along the side rail and go in the
first door on the left. Take out any guards you encounter along the way,
there should only be one or two more now.

Inside the ship find the first stairway down and go down then find
another stairway down and do the same. Go to the water (starboard) side
of the ship and turn left down a hall and go through the door up a
couple of stairs. There may be a guard across the way in the hold, you
know what to do. The door you just came out of should be right next to
another stairway going down into the engine room (it took me a long time
to find this particular stairway, since I was always running around
frantically exploring trying to find the ticking bomb). Go down the
first stairway and move to the right in the doorway of the next stairs
and aim to the left down the stairs and take out the first guard in a
muscle shirt. When he drops, you'll see Ivan running toward you, take
him out, too. One more guard past the ships engine, and one more up the
last stairs in by the bomb. Take 'em out. Get up there and focus in on
the side of the bomb towards the back and use the control panel to
disarm the bomb. WHEW! That was a close one. Now go to the front of the
bomb and look what's leaning against the wall, a mini-gun! HOO-YA! Too
bad you don't need it anymore. Oh, well, take it anyway if you want it
but remember that Hitman's movements are severely slowed when equipped
with the mini-gun, just scroll the list to "holster" and put it away to
move around normal speed. Now go back through the engine room and up the
stairs into the hold. Back through the door down the few stairs, through
the hall, turn the corner and go up the stairs, up the next stairs, up
one more stairs, and find a door on an angle up a few stairs. Go
through this door to outside and turn around and climb the ladder onto
another deck, up to the door to enter the bridge. Be ready with a
weapon. Go in the door on the west side of the ship (starboard?), and
totally mini-gun out on the captain just inside the door. Ok, when
you've added double his weight in lead into him go to the wheel and
focus on the levers, the action should come up "start engine". Do it,
but it seems that no matter how well you've explored and cleared every
unwanted personnel off, there still seems to be one dude left in the
engine room. Well, get going! He's not going to commit suicide! Back
down the ladder, back in the ship, down three flights of stairs, around
the corner, down the hall, through the door, turn left, down the stairs
and stop in the doorway again. Angle left and down, just as before and
do him one more time. YEE HAW, back up to the bridge, start the engine
again and, SUCCESS. Man what a blast, this was the pinnacle of all
Hitman missions. Again, out of the probably thousand times I did this
mission till I figured out how to complete it, I have only been able to
do it once on only my first life. (And I still had 96% on my health bar
and 100% on the armor bar! Only one guard got one shot off on me.) The
end cut-scene and the laptop briefing for the next mission reveal some
mighty interesting information, and UH-OH! Might it be a trap?!

THE SETUP

This mission is exactly what the title implies, a setup, but not to
worry, you go in fully equipped. Oh, wait, no you don't. Just from the
briefing you know that there will be trouble. Equipment page, no weapons
available, not even the fiber wire, but the Kevlar vest is so buy it if
you want, but you won't need it if you follow my instructions.

You start at the gates of the asylum where you started, you see a
long driveway and the building in the distance. Head straight for the
building, up the stairs and in the door to the left. Approach the front
desk and the orderly steps up to talk to you. Go around the corner to
the right and follow the orderly into the main foyer. Wait for him to go
back in and get on the phone. In the cut-scene, he calls the professor,
who calls the police, who immediately dispatch a squad of 12 or 15
S.W.A.T. dudes. I'm not sure exactly how many there are, and although I
have pursued and eliminated them all, I never did count them. Safe to
say that A LOT of cops show up, and they're all wearing full body armor
and helmets. It is still possible to kill with one shot to the head, but
it's got to be real precise. Anyway forget about them, you will be in
disguise before they show up.

The S.W.A.T. team showing up is triggered by an action in this case,
so you do have some time to explore as much of the building as you can
get to without the key. The actual target from the mission briefing is
located basically where the first orderly told you to go. It's on the
second floor, through the operating theater and the first door on the
right. I will say that there are plenty of weapons available on the
premises, M16 rifle, WA 2000 sniper rifle, PA12 shotguns (multiple),
plain shotguns (multiple), MP5s (multiple), and last but not least a
silver baller, and plenty of ammo for everything especially ample for
shotguns, and plenty of MP5s and pistols from S.W.A.T. members. Also the
S.W.A.T. dudes each have a armor vest you can take, a must if you decide
to go the taking out the S.W.A.T. team route. I will only guide you to
what is essential to complete the mission, it is up to you if you want
to explore the rest of the building..

After the cut-scene and the orderly is back in the entry area, go in
the double door across from the entry doors, go up the stairs, up the
stairs, down the hall and into the lab, here you will find an MP5 and a
PA12 shotgun with ammo. You only need one or the other, I usually grab
both. Now, head back out, downstairs and back out the door. Go up either
stairs and into the operating theater, here you will find two orderlies
in blue scrubs. They may be in either left or more probably the right
doors. Find and kill the two orderlies, drag their bodies into one of
the padded cells, and change clothes. Once in disguise, head back to the
operating theater out the other doors to the office area. The target is
in the office on the right. Ahead on the left, the double doors go into
the bathroom, there is a syringe, in a red cross box on the wall, but I
never found that I needed it. The S.W.A.T. team is triggered when you
open the door to the target's office. You might be able to get a couple
of shots off and kill the doctor, but on the laptop and the mission
objectives screen, I never saw it say ACCOMPLISHED. Ok, whether or not
you killed the doctor doesn't matter, drop any rifles and conceal any
weapons, the S.W.A.T. members don't even notice you, if you are unarmed.
Get the asylum key from the plaque on the wall across from the door, now
head back out through the operating theater and down the stairs into the
foyer area again. Go through the door on the left side of the bldg.
under the stairs, through the room and the door on the right, then turn
left and go through the now unlocked gate (because you have the key). Up
the stairs, to the right is the community bath, and possibly one more
orderly, or he may be upstairs. Find and kill him, too. Now head up
either stairway and into the community tv room to find, who else, but
Agent Smith again. Tortured and drugged, as usual in a sorry state. How
does he get himself into these situations, and why do I always have to
clean up for him?

Talk to Agent Smith and he tells you where the antidote is. Get the
antidote from the caged room behind him, and administer the antidote.
When he gets up and around, follow him to the elevator on the first
floor, and he reveals the secret passage to the basement. WOOHOO!
Another smashing SUCCESS, although it doesn't say so in the laptop, and

MEET YOUR BROTHER

This last mission begins where the previous mission left off, and
there is no mission briefing or choice of weapons. You get what you get.
You may have a pistol and maybe an MP5 but I will guide you again.

At the bottom of the stairs, follow the corridor around to the left
and a steel fence gate. Arm yourself, go through the gate and blast the
orderly behind the desk on the left. Behind the desk, in a locker is a
shotgun and some ammo, and the orderly has a pistol, but you won't need
them. This next part must be done very quickly because time is limited.
Open the gate behind the orderly and head to another in the corridor to
the right. On your way you will trigger a cut-scene of clones lining up
and being released, and they are armed and out for blood. Quickly go
through the gate and turn right at the first open doorway into a
hatchery, keep going through and out the opening in the back. Turn a
hard left through the empty room, out the open doorway and go into the
first closed door on the right. In this small storeroom you will find a
mini-gun, Oh Yeah! Again, quickly pick up the mini-gun and scroll up to
holster and click it in, so you can move quickly. Keep going you gotta
move fast, out the door and back the way you came, left through the
empty room, right through the hatchery room, left down the corridor out
the open gate you came through moments ago (did I mention you should be
RUNNING through all this), and keep running down the corridor past the
hall you came in from. Don't deviate, you can zig-zag if you get fired
upon from behind, but keep heading to and go through the closed gate at
the end of the corridor. Turn right and go a little foreword, enough to
get out of the doorway but not enough to alert the orderly at the desk
by another gate.

Ok, now you have some time, but the quicker you can get back to the
doorway and start slaying clones, the better. Right now there should be
only one running around, and he won't come through the gate into where
you are so you are somewhat safe in here, unless you go close to the
doorway. Kill the orderly at the desk (I actually did sneak up and stick
him with the syringe), and find an MP5, ammo, and shotgun ammo. Again
you don't need them, but focus on the lower right corner of the locker
to find a Kevlar vest, don the vest and equip the mini-gun. Remember
that when using the mini-gun, first click starts the motor and second
click fires the weapon, or pressing and holding fire button turns on
motor and then begins to fire. It keeps firing a steady stream till you
let off the fire button, and when you stop, the motor shuts off. So to
conserve ammo, I spray a stream till the clone falls, stop firing wait a
second and then start the motor again, ready for the next one. The first
clone should be running around in the corridor outside. Get into
position, back against the wall, and sidestep into view through the
doorway. He might get a few rounds off on you but pales in comparison
when you cut him in half, vertically. All ten clones come through the
open gate down at the far end of the corridor, so after the first one
drops, aim through the far gate and wait for the next one to come in
view. A message will show up in blue in the upper left of the screen,
when clones are released, and they are released one at a time, so you
have a little wait in between. Each time a clone comes into view,
plaster him, till all clones are slain.

If you have already tried one-on-one combat with the clones, then you
know they are tough moe-foes, well, just like you Tobias Rieper. This is
really the only way to do it, although once I figured it out it seemed
too easy. Now, holster the mini-gun, pick up one of the bodies and drag
him down the corridor till you come to a "T". The right will take you
through a gate and to the storeroom where the mini-gun was, you want to
go to the left and through the gate. Then at the wall, turn right go
through another gate, follow the corridor to the "T" and turn right
again to find a bio-hazard chamber. After I killed the clones the first
time, and came here without a clone's body, I just boldly stepped up on
the platform, it scanned my bar-code and filled the room with gas. GAME
OVER! What a rookie mistake! I knew better, but I just had to find out
what happens. Ok, drag the clones body into the bio-hazard room and
watch the cut-scene, when it's over, you now have access out the center
doors. Ready a weapon and follow the corridor as it bends to the left
and opens up into another lab. I have tried several different things
here, to see what, if any, different endings there are, and I came up
with a possibility of two. 1) You let the mad scientist approach you, he
lunges at you with a syringe, everything goes black and you wake up
restrained in a hospital bed back where you started. GAME OVER, you
lose. Or, 2) You break out the mini-gun and go postal on him, triggering
a cut-scene. SUCCESS, you win. You are now a full fledged Hit Man, and
ready to tackle some more awesome assignments for the Agency.

I hope you enjoyed this game as much as I did. Move on to Hitman 2
Silent Assassin, it is even bigger, better, and badder. Some of the new
features include; mid mission save option, easier to navigate interface,
end of mission statistics including stealth and aggression rating
grading you on how well you did and not just money, a new stealth move:
"crouch mode", a "live" real time map that shows guard movements, and
the ability to use anesthetic to incapacitate instead of kill (sort of a
kinder gentler hit man). I thoroughly enjoyed that game, too, and I am
now working on a complete walkthrough, including how to complete each
mission as SILENT ASSASSIN, the highest reward you can achieve on any
mission, and how to get every weapon in your tool shed.

I also hope this walkthrough helped you through a tough spot, and
there were many, or just gave you good reading enjoyment. To find out
more about the Hitman series, visit the web site Hitman Forum
<http://www.hitmanforum.com/resources.php>, there is a huge community of
Hitman fans out there. Also if you are having problems with glitches in
the game, visit the official web sight <http://www.hitman.com/> or Eidos
Interactive's <http://www.eidosinteractive.com/> web sight or many other
patch web sights, and download the official patches. Also a must is the
web sight Mega Games <http://www.megagames.com/index.html> to download
patches for Hitman Codename 47

and Hitman 2 Silent Assassin

and see their section "Game Fixes-PC games"
<http://www.megagames.com/gcracks.html> to download NO-CD hacks for both
games, and just about every other game ever made. I love those NO-CD
hacks, stops the hassle of inserting a CD ROM every time, and saves wear
and tear on the CD ROM player. My first computer is on it's fourth CD
ROM (which is now a DVD ROM), and I know that they are pretty cheap, but
still I think they should last more that a year or two.

For comments, or other questions regarding Hitman Codename 47, I can
be reached by e-mail at [email protected], but I'm not a total computer
geek so I probably won't have any answers on hardware or technical
issues. I will answer anything related to playing the game or installing
patches and NO-CD hacks. For hardware and technical issues use the links
above, and browse their forums or look for support pages. The official
patch cleared up any problems I had and should work for you.
