The Settlers II Cheats and Tips

During gameplay type 'thunder' or 'winter' to enable cheat mode. An exclamation mark will confirm correct code entry. Then enter one of the following codes to activate the corresponding effect. These codes will also unlock ALL buildings except for the harbor.

View Entire Map:

Press Alt + F7

Change Game Speed:

Press Alt + F1 to F6

The following process involves editing a game file so it is advised that you make a backup before proceeding. Use a text editor to open the 'mission.dat' or 'mission.cfg' file in the game directory and replace ALL 10 characters in the file with '1'. When you have done this you will be able to select and play any level.

To create an army you have to build a building called 'barracks' then click on the barracks and add on how many soldiers you want then build towers and keep filling the towers up and before you know it you'll have an army.

P.s make sure you have a tools/weaponary building.

If you want to expand your area you simply find or add some pioneeres and click on them then right click on where you want to expand. Before you know it you've got an empire

If your losing a game, all you do is build some foresters just back from the border and around any mines.

That way the enemy has to cut them all down befor they can advance.
