to make this cheat work you need to do this it must be "familyFunds SPACE goo SPACE +1000000"
goo was the family name, so change goo to your family surname, the + is needed for it to work which can be changed to a - to take away money from a family, however i dont think this cheat works on familys that were already in a house so it may only work on a family which you create or a family that has been created but just needs to move in

It really works, I swear. At first it also didn't work for me, but one comment here said that remove the comma in the amount so instead of 'familyFunds Smith 100,000' you so it like this 'familyFunds Smith 100000' but it will only work if the family was not yet living in a house, when it was still in the bin. Hope this help.

if you put in FamilyFunds Ur Faamilys last name and the amount u want dont put in the comma so if u want 1 million dont do this 1,000,000 put it in like 1000000 instead it works

this is better, it works for me. I had a family (a mother+father and 3 kids) and they had LESS THAN 100 simoleans. I didnt want the repo man to come so what I did is ctrl+shift+C at the same time and a tiny as box comes up the top of the play screen. (You can access this cheat box at the neighbourhood display, when creating a sim and at your sim's house) then I typed motherlode and automatically gave the family a whopping 50,000 simoleans! keep repeating this process and your family will be rich.

ok so this is what you do

shift ctrl c, if you click c first it will take a picture instead
type in motherlode, be sure to spell it they way I did
hit enter

instead of typing motherlode in a bunch of times, type in expand then type in motherlode and after that just hit the up arrow key and then enter
