Basic Info for Sims 2 Deluxe

Here is the basic know - hows for the Sims 2 Deluxe.

1. You can create your own neighborhoods. You can choose the houses, and even create people to live in them. You also get to name the neighborhood and the person/ people.

2. You can do A LOT of strange things. First, type CTRL+ALT+C. Then, a little box at the top of your screen should come up. This box is used to enter a cheat. So then, type in the box boolprop testingCheatsEnabled true. Then while pressing SHIFT, click on your Sim. (Note: only click on one sim at a time.) After you click on your Sim, select the "Sim Modder". This may be a little creepy, but after you select Sim Modder, a small baby statue should appear in one of the rooms in your house.

3. After you have the Sim Modder, you can make yourself sick, select the age you wanted to be, make yourself fat or skinny, or you can even give yourself a cell phone or an MP3 Player. NOTE: If you live alone and you select the age of a toddler, you might get taken away by Social Workers, if you don't turn back into an adult quick enough, this may happen!

4. When you make yourself a Vampire, there are some important things to know. First of all, there are a few different ways to become one. There is the hard way and the easy way. The easy way was to become one in the instructions above. Or, here is the other way, Go to the Community Lot (Gothier Park) or something like that. I can't remember! Then, stay there until 11:45 P.M Then, the vampire should arrive. Talk to him and be best friends with him, then get him to bite you.

5. After you become a Vampire, make sure to sell or delete all of your windows, and DO NOT go outside during the day. If you do, your body becomes ash! So, no windows, and you will need to sell your bed, and buy a Coffin. If you can't find the section of where they sell them, go to the little picture of the chair anf click it, then click the picture of the bed, and the coffin should be in there.

6. I will give you a little secret. Have any of you played The Sims 2 Nitendo DS game? So, go to the Strangetown neighborhood, and look for one of the bigger houses that already have people and furniture in them. Now, look at the names. One of them are Tank Grunt, and his family! Tank Grunt is one of the characters in The Sims 2 DS!

7. You can have children in the Sims 2 Deluxe. If you don't know how this works, I will explain. To have kids, there are different places available. I would recommend your car, or the Hot tub. Woohooing in bed is the hardest, because you have to get BOTH of them in bed, and that's hard, because you have to build an excellent relationship. How in the Car, you just select "Sit in Car" for both of your Sims. After that, select "Try for Baby" To know if your female Sim is pregnant, after they WooHoo, you will hear a short "Lullaby" kind of music. For the Hot Tub, get both Sims in it, and select "Cuddle" then select "Try for Baby"

8. Eventually, in some part of the game, your Sim or Sims will age shortly. They will become old, and soon die. Usually, one Sims will die before the other. Luckily, your Sim will collect money from insurance. The friends of that Sim will also get a small amount of money also, but you will get more.

9. There are multiple cheats to help your Sim. Remember to CTRL + SHIFT +C before entering ANY cheat. So, to do these, do CTRL + SHIFT+ C and enter Maxmotives. This cheat will refill your Sanity Bars. It will refill usually ALL of them, but not your environment bar, because that refills on it's own. Another cheats is Motherlode (Spelled that way). This gives your Sim $50,000 Dollars.

NOTE: DO NOT use these following cheats:

Familyfunds

Agingoff

These cheats don't work. I have tried these multiple times, and failed to work. Feel free ti try them if you want, though.

10. When your fridge is empty,you can order groceries online, or order them off the phone. You can select how much food you want to order, and it will tell you how much it will cost. If you have the more expensive fridge, it will cost more money for food, if you have a completely empty fridge, but I recommend the more expensive one, because it holds more food.

11. I would also recommend having a TV. If you watch the Cooking channel, your "Learning Bar" will pop up. When it fills up, that means you have learned a new recipe to cook. If you have a bookshelf, you can study cooking, cleaning, and mechanical, and everytime your bar fills up, you earn a cooking, cleaning, or a mechanical skill point.

12. If you get tired of your house, don't like your house, of have too many people living in it, you can move to a new one! If you like a house, but can't afford one, do the Motherlode cheat above. Then, after you did the Motherlode cheat, save your game then go to the Neighborhood page. Go to the tab of where you would create a person, then click the picture of the "Create a Family" symbol, then all the houses with people in them light up, then select the house of the people you want to move. Then, a popup says "Would you like to move the Smith Family for example, then you would click "Yes". Then it would go to the "Family Bin" then, you can choose the house you wanted to move you family to. NOTE: All of your furniture gets sold. But, you get 100% of the money back.

13. Sometimes, in the game, a burglar will come and steal items from your house. So it's best to have a Security Panel. You can get one of these in the "Electronics" section. It is also best to have a Fire Alarm in the kitchen. Your oven will occasionally catch on fire. When either the Security Panel or the fire alarm goes off, the Police or the Firemen will automatically come to your house, without having yourself to call.
