Easy Way To Beat Japan

And easy way to beat Japan is to make sure they have no iron, since they are dependant on it. This is very easy with horse-using units, as they have high movement. This is a good strategy with the Ottomans using their Sipahi unit.

If Japan does not have Iron, they aren't a threat since they really only are a powerful force when using the Samurai in the Medieval Ages, and denying them Iron virtually ends the game for them.

Reveal Map

The following procedure requires editing a game file so it is advised you create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Go to Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5 Edit config.ini and change 'DebugPanel = 0' to 'DebugPanel = 1'. Then press the ` or ~ (tilde) key during the game to be able to select various options, one of which is 'Reveal All' which will enable you to veiw the full map.
