My saved data lost and cannot exit nasu game

I picked up one effect and saved into the diary in Madotsukis room. I could load it back few times but is has lost. Why? Also, I cannot exit the Nasu minigame,it should be Escape key but it does not work.

To exit Nasu, you need to hold down the Esc key instead of just pressing it. IDK about the loading problem though :/
