No! Don't do that, increasing the speed only makes the villagers grow old and die faster, the tech points will stay the same. The best thing to do is slow the speed and put all the villagers you can on science to get more tech points and make master scienctist cause masters will make more tech points. I increased the speed and put my date on my computer ahead by a day and all my villagers died :-( . I had to restart all over . Increasing is not a good idea.
