Question for Virtual Villagers 5: New Believers

How do you get the yellow an red masks to come off or go away? I near the end an can't get 100 villagers cos of them.

I have heard that Earthquakes makes them convert.

1) Put butterflies where they are and the children will distract them.
2) Get them to chase a villager who is elderly or dislikes running, it will slow them down. A lot.
3) If they keep entering a certain way, put bees where they are likely to go.
4) Use lightning on them
