How do you input the cheat codes using the console command line parameter to get them to work?

On the shortcut placed on your desktop, right click it go to properties.. Go to the target box... And add -console to the end, after the ".... Be sure to have 1 space btwn the " and -console ..... Apply and play..

Just add -console 1 to the end of the target line under properties on the icon that you would use to run the game. When in the game, all you have to do is push "~" and a cheat menu will appear where you can type in cheats like "gode" or "giftxp #"
