About feeding dragons

I got a dragon, but it's not like a dog or a cat, I can't control it. It wont eat out of the dog bowls, so how do I feed it? Do I keep givin it dragon treats?

If you plant a few of those plants that look like weeds the dragon shud eat them when it's hungry hope it helped
