How come it won't let me save (Sims Makin' Magic) ?

Ok, so I put my game into the computer-everything is fine, I play the game-everything is fine, I save my game-everything is NOT fine! I have a windows vista laptop computer and it won't save all the progress I have made in the game, which is really annoying because my other computers (which are not vista) don't have this problem. Does anyone know how to help me? Is there any way that this can work? How can I actually save the game?

You may have to upgrade your sims game. You go online and just find an update for it. I had to do that to some of my games when I went from XP to Vista.
