I don't think you can get a completely tame dragon, but you can help determine it's color. I'm told there are at least 3 different kinds: Pink Purple and Gold. Now, I'm told that the Gold and Purple dragons behave better, but I don't buy it. I've had pink and purple dragons (still working on the gold), and I haven't noticed much difference. I'm told that the Purple and Gold dragons also need more attention or they leave. I did notice with the Purple dragon will tell you if it is in need of attention, but it never left when I neglected it for a few days. It did set more fires though.

If you get a dragon, regardles the colour, place smoke detectors in every room and outside. The dragon WILL start fires, and the detectors will minimize the damage immensely.

Also, if you haven't already, look around the PC platform section. From one Mac user to another, there's a lot of activity in the PC section and the answers work on the Mac version, too.
