Date of Question: Sep 28 2008 | Question ID: 130205 Okay, so I beat the game and my sims have two kids. But a little after my sims had the kids they couldn't take a shower, a bath, rinse their hands in the sink, etc. When I click 'examine' on any other those, it says it requires plumbing... So how in the world do I get plumbing??? |

Castaway plumbing: You have to get to the story reward of a blue water tower-- and not from Build or Buy mode but from Story Rewards. In the Mac version, you earn this while playing the survival story but there is already one on the first lot that you start on in the free play mode (mine was Valance). Sometimes it breaks, too; then you just get a new one and throw away the old one.

Usuallly all you need to do is put the items in a house or on a floor for them to work. There is no plumming in sims 2 unless you need them for casteaway.
